So much to say about the fan reactions. First, the sport itself. I'm an older American who has loved this game since the 1970s. I claim that once someone here is familiar with the rules, they'll see it - even though it's considered a "low scoring game", in a good one..about 60-70% of it is spent with someone "damn near about to". Edge of your chair (if you decide to sit instead of stand 😄) the whole time. You're either stoked that your side is attacking, or afraid of the opponent coming at you. There's an incredible release of emotion when the ball finally ends up in the net. Second, what folks from other countries said about the sense of community in your comment thread is * very * real. In much of the world, if you ask a local to show you around town, they'll point and say something like, 'This is our fire department, this is our school, and this is our football club!' Third, the game's so popular around the world that you don't even have to speak the same language just to play a 'pick-up' game in the park. When Matthew McConaughey (he's married to a Brazilian girl) was hyping the new MLS franchise in Austin TX, he said, "The soccer ball is the greatest invitation in the world." And he's right. Doesn't matter what language, skin color, or gender they are..bring out a ball, and people smile and start gathering. Sorry about the novel I just wrote on your vid comment page - I just really love this game, and am so excited that it seems to be finally getting more popular in the US. Greetings from Atlanta, GA! @@hellskitchen10036 , my first exposure was "Soccer Made in Germany" on a local PBS station. Games cut down to a 60min TV show, with a Welsh guy from the BBC who was covering German football for them doing English language commentary over the top of it. I miss shortwave radio, though. Only way I could keep up with Formula 1 racing in the '70s.
When you choose a team they become a part of you. The team flows through your blood. When you lose it's the worst feeling but when you win, especially big games, it's the best feeling.
Hi Cindy! As an old footballer from Europe I can tell you why there is a differens between the U.S and Europe regarding the fans reaction. In Europe we are connected to the clubs, often in a daily basis, so they are kind of part of our identity and soul. In the U.S it's regarded as a franchise with only one team. In Europe our kids starts in the clubs when they are 5 or 6 years old, and often stay there playing till they get VERY old, sometimes in their 70'ties. So the passion is real, not just on sundays when the 1. team are playing. If it makes sence to you. And thanks for the vidoe. Regards from Denmark. P.s My Club, BK. FREM was founded in 1886.🤨🤔😂
As a Liverpool supporter that 4-0 against Barcelona was a match I will never, ever forget. 3-0 down from the first leg, we HAD to score 4 without reply to win against a scary Barcelona side. 1 goal from Barca and it was probably over. Nailbiter of a match but the euphoria when the 4th went in, lost my voice that night! Definitely check out Gerrard though, that man scored some absolute screamers!
Football is the best sport of all time! Football is much more than a sport, it is a lifestyle! The passion that we fans feel cannot be bought anywhere... It is pure love.
That Liverpool 4-0 game against Barcelona was something else... they were missing their best players (3 of them, especially Salah who was having an awesome season) and they had to go agains the greatest player of all time (Messi)'s team and score 4 to reach the final... and they did it. With a 20 year old RB (who did the corner quickly) and players who don't start for them normally. Insane.
13:58 French commentator Thierry Roland after the first World Cup title for France (after beating Brazil 3-0) "I think after seeing that, we can die peacefully. Well, the later possible, but we can". He since died.
Thuram scoring for his first and only time with France national team is such a good story on its own. The interview given by the coach and his team explain exactly how everyone including Liliian Thuram were SHOCKED of the 2 back to back goals in that semi finale. That picture of Thuram scoring and dropping on his knees wondering : "Wtf is happening to me" is one of the best football memories I had as a kid watching my first World cup at home in France at 11 years old. And boy oh boy did it end well...
3:27 That Gareth Bale bicycle kick I have seen with my own eyes. The fans were going wild! There was an atmosphere that you can't express in words. You got to be there and feel it 💯
A name that has probably been missed being sent to you. Wayne Rooney. He burst on the the scene as a 16 year old. Became Man United's and England's top scorer. Scored some spectacular goals throughout his career. The overhead kick in this video is just one of them.
Something that gets overlooked in European leagues a lot and isn't present in American leagues (as far as I know) is the relegation system between divisions. It adds so much excitement even for the teams at the bottom of the table and leads to miracle stories of teams coming up to the first division and winning it.
Bergkamp was one hell of a player. There are some great players in the older generation clips of this video that younger fans probably don't know much about.
what an amazing video... powerfull, emotional... a lot of mixed emotions in the beauty of the best sport ever. Im Argentinian and we feel the football in a very passionate way but as a football fan im so grateful to see players from all over the world and from eras be that impossible good!.. gotta love football!!!!!
For added context, Brazil is the greatest team in FIFA WORLD CUP history and for Germany to have beaten them 7 to 1 was something that's never been done before
The last sentence in french is very famous. It says "I believe after seeing this, we can die in peace. The later the better but we can". It was live on tv after France first WC win in 1998 and it still resonate into people's mind to this day. The man that pronunce those words was the voice of football for decades. He died quite young and it's kinda sad he hasn't seen us win a second time 20 years later.

So so so happy you reacted to this, thers so many insanely epic moments in this one... especially for me as a Liverpool fan ... "European Nights" at Anfield is something very very special ,,
I would say it's because of the pacing. Other sports have constant scoring, and there's not that much sports that can end in zero score for both. So this creates the sort of tension for who would break into the score first, and both are trying to score and stop the other. While in other sports, everyone has their chance to build up the score, it's expected to have some points.
Messi can worth 10x the entire team and a single hug can bring you 10x satisfaction. Being part of a club is best feeling I wonder if Messi miss that oversea in US..
I recommend you to watch Turkiye's EURO 2008 adventure. They didn't won it but they won their 3 matches with comebacks and late goals. In quarter-final, they fall back 1-0 at 119. minute and managed to score at last second of the game and won in penalties. In semi-final, they have only 4 substitutes and played so well, but they defeated with a late goal.
As a Chelsea fan, I've got to say that the 2012 UCL Final is probably one of my fave games ever but not forgetting FT09's solo goal vs Barca at Barca in the Semis.

O que impressona nesse vídeo, é que não há nem um lance do maior atacante de todos os tempos, the goat entre os jogadores profissionais, Ronaldo "Fenômeno".
When we won Euro 2004 it wasn't just the fact that we were outsiders but we played against great teams and bested them and we played twice with Portugal and a baby Ronaldo and we won both times and they were the hosts too. Opening game and the final. We were hated back then because the team played old school game style and especially the Brits were salty. Too bad we humbled them this year in similar style and in their own country.
I’m a Liverpool fan but zidane is honestly the greatest player I’ve ever seen he was such a technician with the ball!! I’ve not seen anything close since he retired
Cindy now you need to react to best deffences/goalkeepers of all time, that'd be fun too. Buffon, Casillas, Navas, Cech, Van Der Sär, Oliver Khan, Higuita, Goycochea, Taffarel, Dida, Alisson... Those are all GOATs as well.
That goal from Sergi Roberto for the 6-1 againts PSG... The audience was crazy. I've never seen people at Camp Nou like that never. It was an amazing experience.
I think with most Americans, most games is about going to see a specific person and having this and that signed but the real football⚽ is about going to enjoy the game, cherishing it, Living in the moment, the win the lose it's everything. Football is just beautiful
The diff lvl of passion is mostly due to the fact that sport in the US aren't clubs but franchises that can move to another town, in the rest of the world there are clubs that are part of the towns they are in, their fanbase is built through generations. You can't compare these.
Before the start of the premier league year when Leicester city won, their odds of winning was 5000:1. People thought they would get relegated that year instead.
The variance in quality of matches is much higher in football than in most other sports. You can even have extremely dull 0-0 matches that are nothing but a complete waste of time. Something that doesn't exist in other sports. (Though even 0-0 matches in football can still be great.) But precisely because of that, when you do get great matches they can become absolutely exhilarating and unforgettable. Which is also far more rare in other sports.
So many eras, so many great players. There was a bias towards more recent times and so many great players could have received at least a mention. I'm thinking Jurgen Klinsmann, Pavel Nedved, Michael Laudrup, Peter Schmeichel, Michel Platini just to name a few. These are guys many former players have literally included in their greatest XI of all time. For me the greatest football movie/compilation of all time is "Hero - the story of the Mexico '86 World Cup" that partially concentrates on the big players who spearheaded their nations at a very special tournament. I belive it is still available in full on TH-cam since FIFA did the decent thing by releasing it for free after the passing of Diego Maradona. The actor Michael Caine also narrates it and its got a classic 80's vibe.
For us Brits, Europeans, and South Americans footbal isnt just a sport it's religion. And the stadium is our Church. We love our players clubs and countrys just as passionately as we love our own familys. This is not an exaggeration! Its fact!
It never shown the comeback of manchester United from being 1 - 0 down to bayern Munich and then scoring 2 goals in injury time to win the champions league and secure the treble which few teams have done!!!
Club football is a lifestyle. National football teams are sometimes the country ( latter at least in netherlands, germany, uk, scotland, brazil, portugal, italy, south Korea, Nigeria, cameroon, argentinia, belgium, marocco) and growing in coutries like poland, tscheccia, croatia many asian countries. Oh i forgot turkiye.. both clubs are fanatic (not always that nice) and national team: really fantastically passionate
Hello from across the pond. I 1st fell in love the game when i was 4 nearly 5 yrs old and that was in 1974 my Club team LFC(Liverpool) the Gentleman quote at the start was the manager of LFC retired the following season. I love the NFL just think what it would be like to got to your our town city or whatever you maybe and cheering as your team beats the next town near you its a way of being proud of your town
I think the biggest problem in american football and american sports in general when it comes to the fans passion is the franchising system. When your team plays an awful season and ends last you just move on to the next season and are even rewarded with better draft picks, while ending last in a european football league results in a relegation/dropping to a lower league. Having consequences of your teams performance just naturally has you as a fan more emotionally invested into your team and sport.
This is one reason to get into college sports and college football. While there is no “relegation” system, losing isn’t rewarded and acquiring new players is entirely based on recruiting, so winning is everything.
3:27 I have been on that UCL final in my home city Kyiv in Ukraine, and my favorite team Liverpool lost🙄 But that Bale bicycle was something very amazing!!!
Football is about extraordinary goals but also fabulous goalkeeper saves. Goalless games can be of high quality due to the actions stopped by goalkeepers who hold their opponents in check.
As a Brazilian I think this video was kind of eurocentric! Since it's mostly about World Cup and European Competitions. But I understand the epic wa it was showed.

Sorry about the novel I just wrote on your vid comment page - I just really love this game, and am so excited that it seems to be finally getting more popular in the US. Greetings from Atlanta, GA! (Atlanta Chiefs, 1968 NASL Champs - Atlanta United, 2018 MLS Champs)
I started listening to English football on my (Paterson , NJ's) grandmothers shortwave radio in the 50's..there has been no going back !
@@panamafloyd1469 Only a few of us left that even know what shortwave is, lol .
FREM was founded in 1886.🤨🤔😂
The word football exist because of this beautiful game. Absolutely brilliant.
Such a beautiful video, glad you checked it out!
The roar of the crowd feels different than any other sport. The collective joy is intoxicating.
Something that gets overlooked in European leagues a lot and isn't present in American leagues (as far as I know) is the relegation system between divisions. It adds so much excitement even for the teams at the bottom of the table and leads to miracle stories of teams coming up to the first division and winning it.
bro the dennis bergkamp one gives me chills every time
Bergkamp was one hell of a player. There are some great players in the older generation clips of this video that younger fans probably don't know much about.
congraaaats on the 10k cindy , much more success
THANKS STEVIE!! ☺️🫶🏻
what an amazing video... powerfull, emotional... a lot of mixed emotions in the beauty of the best sport ever. Im Argentinian and we feel the football in a very passionate way but as a football fan im so grateful to see players from all over the world and from eras be that impossible good!.. gotta love football!!!!!
Let's goooo. Congratulations on 10k
thank you!!
In football, when you're a true fan or supporter, you never miss a game, wether it's IRL or tv.
Whoa! That was awesome! How cool that people like you miss are promoting this (and more) sport! Your interview with Pele, that was a delight!
I am Croatian living and working in Dublin, Ireland for the past 8 years now. I already prepared and saved money for the World Cup 2026 CAN/USA/MEX. My life dream is to visit New York and then I'll go to any city where Croatia is playing (if we qualify). I just can't wait...
Finally an American knows what is the real football.
hahah i respect it!
That Robben goal and game was a nice revenge against Spain for 2010. Should've won one of those WCs with the players we had.
Футбол - самая демократичная игра в мире. Для нее нужен только мяч и страсть.
Ever since I got into Football this video has been my favorite video of all time. Football is truly beautiful!
So so so happy you reacted to this, thers so many insanely epic moments in this one... especially for me as a Liverpool fan ... "European Nights" at Anfield is something very very special ,,
Falling in love with Liverpool FC means that you'll never walk alone ❤
It's so much more than football. ⚽It's family. ❤
Congrats for 10k subs 🎉🎉🎉
THANKS MATTHEWWW
@itsbluereacts ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I highly recommend you look up and/or react to Euro 2004. It's definitely a Cindarella story if there ever was one.
Leicester winning the premier League surely
@@Stuffthatsfunny1 can´t compare a league to a 1 month tournament tho, each got its own pros and cons, and is an awesome feat in its own way
Great reaction. German football fan from the ruhr area here, die-hard supporter of my hometown club VfL Bochum 1848 for over 35 years now. Football is our life. Nur der VfL!!!! 💙🤍🤘
European football is incredible. Someone from the UK here, I dont know what its like in the US, but here if you can passionately get behind a team, and follow them through the lows as well as the highs, theres nothing like it.
Hi Cindy. I like you and have just Subscribed. I am in my 8th decade in London and have been to 1,779 live matches since 1962 and visited 84 different stadiums from one end of England to the other end and a few in Scotland, as well. You are NOW ready for:

N.B. Try not to turn the volume down as the fans are loud. Good Luck from South East London.
Lewandowski scoring 5 goals in 9 minutes is the craziest shit I have ever seen live
great video! thanks!

@@itsbluereacts and here, we loves football ;) and we love nice, friendly and cute girls like you ;) take a look at my city here (it's Federico Fellini's hometown) th-cam.com/video/BtzbMhlOL2Y/w-d-xo.html ;)
O que impressona nesse vídeo, é que não há nem um lance do maior atacante de todos os tempos, the goat entre os jogadores profissionais, Ronaldo "Fenômeno".
Grateful for bringing back my childhood HEROES!
Football is not just a game it’s an emotion.
That goal from Messi vs Bilbao at the 2015 Copa del Rey final... I was on the stadium that day. Just magnificent.
I also was there for that MEssi vs Bayern Munich in 2015 :D
That goal from Sergi Roberto for the 6-1 againts PSG... The audience was crazy. I've never seen people at Camp Nou like that never. It was an amazing experience.
New subscriber as I love to see Americans react to and love football ! Great work Cindy !
thanks so much! welcome to TBC 🩵
I think with most Americans, most games is about going to see a specific person and having this and that signed but the real football⚽ is about going to enjoy the game, cherishing it, Living in the moment, the win the lose it's everything. Football is just beautiful
Underrated editing tbh 🔥
I dont think some people understand how legendary that Istanbul game was for all of Liverpool.
I was at Anfield for the 4-0 win over Barca. I doubt I'll ever witness a game like it ever again in my lifetime.
(Though even 0-0 matches in football can still be great.)
But precisely because of that, when you do get great matches they can become absolutely exhilarating and unforgettable.
Football is super tribal, the clubs are ingrained into the towns and cities they come from
For us Brits, Europeans, and South Americans footbal isnt just a sport it's religion. And the stadium is our Church. We love our players clubs and countrys just as passionately as we love our own familys. This is not an exaggeration! Its fact!
Excellent reaction Cindy. Well done. ⚽
thanks dean!
It never shown the comeback of manchester United from being 1 - 0 down to bayern Munich and then scoring 2 goals in injury time to win the champions league and secure the treble which few teams have done!!!
kevin from scotland loved your vlog some classic goals
Ronaldo Nazario = Ronaldo Phenomenon very, very good
Club football is a lifestyle.
Clubs in europe and africa stay because they are the city. American sport teams leave cities and lose history...
As a football fan and an Araenal fan, i loved this.
LFG
That 2010 world cup final goal from Iniesta, i'm still hurt about that 😥 -NL
The World Sport for a reason! ❤
No man utd vs bayern at the nou camp in 99? Thats crazy to me
"AND SOLSKJAER HAS WON IT!!!" "Manchester United has reached the Promise Land!!!"
Football defines part of the lifestyle of many, many countries.
Football is not just a game, its a way of life, something without which our lives are incomplete
You need to sit down and watch the full 2019 UCL semi final, both legs of Barcelona vs Liverpool. You’d love it.
Liverpool coming back against that Milan side 3-0 down at half time seemed impossible. But somehow they did it. A totally crazy night
True but beating the Worlf'd greatest team=Barcelona 4/0 after losing the first leg 3/0 takes some beating:)
Football, respect for yourself and everyone else around you!... that is Life! ❤ (Not all of Life but still a great part)😁
3:27 I have been on that UCL final in my home city Kyiv in Ukraine, and my favorite team Liverpool lost🙄 But that Bale bicycle was something very amazing!!!
Good man. Salah injured by Ramos and Karius doing his thing. Crazy game.
@@lyndoncmp5751 yeah( was sad and amazing to take part at the same time hehe)
@@KyivanEnjoyer I still can't believe all the weird stuff that happened in that game. A complete bizarre experience. 😳
It's the games the goals are scored in that make them special as a fan u can't describe it
Football is about extraordinary goals but also fabulous goalkeeper saves.
Goalless games can be of high quality due to the actions stopped by goalkeepers who hold their opponents in check.
As a Brazilian I think this video was kind of eurocentric! Since it's mostly about World Cup and European Competitions. But I understand the epic wa it was showed.
Thamk you very much for you "OBJETIC VISION" form SPAIN
As a Liverpool watch the miracle of Istanbul even to this day i don't know how we did that
Some recommendations of players you should know Johan Cruyff one of the best of all time
Robert Lewandowski one of the best goalscorers of modern football
