I'm having a very hard time deciding if I really want to teach. I graduated last spring with an Elementary degree but still need to get licensed. I own a business. I did some student teaching but the placement wasn't right for me and it gave me anxiety. I had visions of teaching and getting out of work at 2:20-2:40 pm and going out to run my pest control business for 2-3 hours a day after school. Some say I can do it, others don't believe I can. I love kids. I don't want to feel micromanaged and controlled, and feel anxiety. What should I do to decide if I should teach? I graduated with honors, I don't want to waste my time I spent in school. I'm having doubts, now, that is the right choice for me. Is there any help for this trial I'm going through?
