Moon had a legendary career. HoFer in two different leagues! (CFL and NFL)
I’m glad I got to meet him in Vegas and take a picture!
When Warren Moon retired in 2000 he was 3rd all time in pass yards.
Now he’s 13th.
It's even better once you consider Moon spent 6 years in the CFL
And had 144 touchdowns and his last two seasons with the Eskimos blew last 10,000 passing yards
and he started in the NFL at 27. Imagine what he would have done with another 6 years, his time in the CFL.
There's no telling what Warren Moon could've done more in the NFL if he didn't have to "prove himself" in the CFL. That said Edmonton benefited greatly for his time there.

Warren Moon throws one of the best spirals in NFL history. Only one with a better spiral is Rodgers 🧀
Warren Moon is the only QB in football history to pass for 20,000 yards in the CFL and NFL. He's also the first QB in professional football to pass for 5,000 yards in a season. He did that in '82 and again in '83. And, although he didn't win a Super Bowl he did win 5 Grey Cups with the Edmonton Eskimos on what may have been the greatest football team of all time...
And add Rose Bowl victory against Michigan in '78 to his accomplishments. He is a legend.

It was the around 86...I was about 12 years old...not really a football fan..was at grandmas one day , channel surfing in the upstairs bedroom...I come across a televised oiler game... there's Moon..doing what he did..just passing..throwing beautiful passes...that's the day I became a football fan,,an oiler fan from NW Illinois...followed them to Nashville.....this is a really cool little video these 2 did...I like Ryan alot..plays with guts and his team loves him...he gets a lot of underserved shade thrown his way, but I don't care...I think he's top 3 titan/oiler QB in my lifetime..Moon, McNair, and RT

Moons Oilers reminded me of Dolphins and Chargers in past; all offense with suspect defense. If Oilers had an above average defense they reach SuperBowl. I would have loved to see them play instead of Bills the year of the miracle comeback. They would have at least competed that year.
They didn’t have suspect defense. People insist on overrating defense when situational execution matters more.
93 was their best defense but Moon never really had a true WR Ernest Givings was good but compared to the other WRs big arm qbs had in the late 80 and 90s Oilers never really gave Moon the talent just told hi. To play with what he had and he had to be greatfull
RYANS the real key to Titans success. THE only player that couldn't be replaced . The guy carried crappy Miami teams to 8-8 seasons and it got lost in translation just how hard that is to do .look at Watson or Wilson 4 or 5 win seasons unable to carry them on their backs to even 500

This aj deal has been repeated on him 3 different times if you count Jarvis Landry as a decent wr.
I'd like to see what he could do but he keeps developing young units and then teams piss them off after a couple years.

All of them can make mvp run complemented correctly. See tua or geno for another recent example of that.

What I never like about the argument over receivers is the importance attached to receivers is so often grossly inflated. Geno Smith and Tua Tagovailoa actually show how coaching helps more than often recognized with quarterbacks. Keeping AJ Brown would likely have improved the explosion of the passing game but the cap consequences inevitably hurt the rest of the team plus it’s never really been shiny toy receivers who make quarterbacks play better, it’s the other way around
@@STP43FAN1scouts and coaches do kinds have a 40 yd pass triangle 🔼 where the QB is credited like 75% inside that and the receivers are outside.
Receiver that can go up and get it or track the ball run under and makes life much easier for everyone .

Warren Moon is a legend. Played college ball at Washington and won the '78 Rose Bowl by beating Michigan. Was the MVP in that game.

He should have been the Oilers QB in the late 70s with Earl Campbell. They would have gone to the Super Bowl in 1978.
It was the same story in his college career. There were basically no black QBs in the 70s in college football, and he was told by many coaches to change position to receiver if he wanted to play. But coach Don James brought him to Washington to play QB and he took them to a Rose Bowl victory in '78. MVP in that game too.

I have no idea what your talking about because tannehill’s time in Tennessee has been anything but average. Also even though tannehill’s stats has regressed in 2021 compared to 2020, a large part of that has to do with horrific pass protection and Tannehill having to play with peactice squad receivers who are not above to create any separation on many plays and have drop issues.

I love when haters talk about the Titans players as if they knew anything. Tell me, all knowing one, if Tannehill is getting completely carried by Henry then why did Henry have his 2 best seasons after Tannehill took over? Why did the team only become elite after Tannehill took over? Take your time on this one.
Moon is arguably top 10 of all time. Tannehill is not even top 10 in the league right now. I guess technically they play for the same franchise but come on. I'm a Rams fan in LA and what they did in St. Louis doesn't count to anyone here. Unless you were a Raiders fan in the 80's we still have zero Super Bowl championships.
