I wouldn't say that master duel Is way worse way more variety at least in duel links u actually have a turn and can win a game master duel you don't even get a turn
I like playing Nekroz variants and i can actually play pretty well against most floodgates. Such as summon breaker, heat wave (valkyrus stalling), winda (brionac). The only issue is that nekroz also like to use the graveyard / banish cards. Which is why i use small engines or other archetypes that can mitigate those restrictions.
I'll admit they are terrible when you are up against someone using a lot of lingering effects but they are a necessary evil or you'll be seeing a bunch of combo decks, chain decks, and summoning from the graveyard a ba-zillion times to floodgate you, which isn't any better than lingering effects. Sounds to me this is a complaint from people who are annoyed they can't use their graveyard as their second hand or something tbh. smh
Stun effects are fine all around, just means tou have to think more in the deck building phase about what your deck loses to and if you need to add in some resilience to those kind of effects.
@@gabrielgray7296 good shot. But this is a 1 time situation, it's not like u gonna pop out the sphere every game + they literally can go everything, so, just waiting for another ban, for deck/skill
Really handy overview. As a new player is the lack of having these cards (missed the recent box) going to hamper me so much that I’m screwed? What’s the best replacement for something like Lancea in the interim when I have no real gate cards?
Lingering effect i hate the most when playing shiranui is u always have shade in hand every damn time its infuriating, and current meta really hate zombie rn 😢
As a long time trapnui player, just survive these lingering effects and win the war of attrition with grave and banish resources later is nothing new. The real question I have is why are so many people running so many tech options that dont do diddly against the most popular and powerful deck in the game rather than ones aimed at that deck like massive piles of backrow hate? I'm probably running into 3 blue eyes for every graveyard deck. I ran lancia for a bit, but cut it for cosmic because a card that only helps going second against a comparatively small chunk of my actual matchups isn't as useful as popping blue eyes back row. Anywho if the name of the game is to just survive the turn then they'll turn me back to the old me. People running around talking about traps like I ain't gone. What? You think I sold them all?
I played against blue eyes and couldn't get special summon from the grave before sandphond activate its effect, can someone confirm if its a bug or not?
I think some cards with lingering effects are generally bad but most of these I personally don't think are that bad except maybe the skill. Dweller, sanaphond, lancea have never been completely broken in the actual game. Broken lingering effects are the ones that you can't really react too. Currently in the tcg and masterduel, that would include cards like barrier, and shifter. Heat wave kind of falls in that category too though.
This is by far the worst meta duel links has had in a good while. Skills are completely out of control. Agents are way too busted it’s either draw Lancea or lose. Might be time for a break for me honestly
For some reason people find it normal to abuse graveyard and effect monsters resulting on turns that take forever while crying about cards that shut down their strategies, if you have the right to put three copies of "Mezuki" in the graveyard to special summons multiple times from the grave potentially using a "Burial from a different dimension" to recycle your ''Mezuki(s)", then I have the right to say no thank u, period!
why does konami keep printing decks that rely on the graveyard if its a bad thing? its not like its a few here or there, almost every deck in the game has grave strategies -undead
No, you shouldn't have the right to say "NO" to an entire strategy even for 1 turn. You can play things like dd crow to reduce the power of these strategies but using lancea and stopping them almost entirely is not ok
@@team6kdl I didn't say that relying on the graveyard is a bad thing, forcing people to watch u minutes doing your combos that relies on the graveyard can be a bad thing for your opponent and he should have the right also to stop u from doing so!

Lingering effects ive been saying they are broken but people say im coping. Thing is, for me something balanced is something you can play against. Now if opp goes first, u cant negate with chalice and other negates whose job is negating it. Thats why its broken. also these lingering effects break most meta decks... its just toxic.
