@1:14 Look at the cross taped to the stop sign post. This indicates there's been a prior deadly crash at the intersection. RIP to the mom. Hope the Ford driver and the baby get the help they need.
I’m 65 now and I took driver’s education in high school…it was pounded into our heads to look both ways and only turn when no cars are approaching. We were also taught how to drive near big rigs, which far too many people don’t. I just can’t comprehend how drivers do what she did…so sad for her child, and her family and friends
so true, in the 1970's our high school required all students to take a 9 week drivers education course and the 9 weeks were taken out of your gym class schedule. best education of my life came outta that 9 week course! why isnt it required anymore?
I’m 62. We also had drivers ed. It should be required, again. We also saw signal 30. I couldn’t sleep because of that. You can never unsee what you saw on that film.
Age and experience really doesn’t have anything to do with it. I have had tons of close calls because someone over 60 pulled out in front of me or changed lanes and almost hit me.
I am absolutely disgusted hearing that so many people just kept on driving. What ever happened to helping those in need. These days you see so many people happy to get their phones out to record & photograph horrible things then post it online. How about putting your damn phones down and actually do something to help. The humanity is definitely not what it use to be. Just disgusting. Thank you to the two men who did stop to help. You are both real men in my eyes. My heart goes out to all those involved. My prayers are for the young lady who lost her life, her family and her baby girl who will now grow up without the love & guidance of her mother. Rest In Peace sweet girl. 👼

People probably don’t stop for many reasons. Driver may be elderly or have a disability, or feel they may hinder the situation having not learned CPR if needed, may feel safer calling 911, even being distracted trying to look at an accident may put you at risk of causing another one. You can be quite traumatized yourself to view the aftermath of a tragic event. So no, personally, I would not stop knowing I couldn’t help. I try not to be too judgmental of those who keep driving. Those knowing they can help, thankfully, usually do. 🥲
We wake up in the morning. Do our morning stuff, breakfast, shower, coffee or what have you not knowing this is your last day on earth. True!! The Bible says that no one knows the day or the hour of their death.
Thank God for the people that stop to help because we have 9 minutes from when the tone drops to jump into our bunkers, load into the engine and get to the scene. Those 9 minutes are critical in cases like this because of loss of life. Sounds like mom probably had severe internal bleeding and/or a torn aorta (in high impact T-bone MVA’s the driver usually dies from that very reason) but that baby was still in the car and infants/pediatric patients overall are the ones who compensate and compensate and then they crash. So I’m thankful he was able to get the baby out even though mom was deceased. These calls always hurt, you wonder why she was in such a hurry, or wasn’t paying attention or whatever the reason is for her driving mistake, but sadly it cost her…her life. I’m thankful no one else was hurt. Right before the holiday too, and she was so young. May she rest in peace and God bring comfort and love to her family and loved ones. 😔
The husband/father received the phone call you never ever want to get. He then had to make the phone calls to people you never ever want to make. My heart aches for the young mother and every person whose heart broke when they received those phone calls.
People for the love of your child, but the car seat in the middle of the back seat. Don't put it next to either side of the back seat door. Yes, it's a little inconvenient to get them in and out of the car for you, but it's the safest spot in the back for your child. The child most likely wouldn't have been seriously hurt if the car seat was in the middle of the back seat.
