Explore on my walk the Kuthodaw Pagoda, also known as the Royal Merit Pagoda, or the "world's largest book", it is situated at the foot of Mandalay Hill. Here's what you need to know about:

- Built during the reign of King Mindon, this Buddhist stupa is a testament to his commitment to merit and spirituality.
- The pagoda is renowned for housing the world's LARGEST BOOK-a remarkable collection of Buddhist scriptures.
2. Architectural Marvel:
- The stupa itself, gilded and majestic, rises to a height of 188 feet (57 meters).
- Its design draws inspiration from the "Shwezigon Pagoda" near Bagan.
3. The "Book":
- Within the pagoda's grounds, you'll find "729 kyauksa gu (stone-inscription caves)".
- Each cave contains a marble slab inscribed on both sides with a page of text from the Tipitaka, the entire Pali Canon of Theravada Buddhism.
- These inscriptions form the world's "largest book", preserving ancient wisdom for generations.
