The quickest way to kill this whole idea and stick it to BGS and their Micro$oft Overlords is, if the authors of Bodyslide/Outtfit Studio and any body mod(CBBE,UNP ect) says No to any one who uses their tool or bodies in the purpose of making a payware armor. Part of the rules for the new payware mods is they have to be standalone, however, if the mod relies on another mod they must declare the other assets required and that asset mod author is contracted as part of your team for that mod to be accepted as payware. Also being contracted as part of your team means you have to pay them from what you make after M$/BGS take their 70% cut and those authors could name any percentage they like as they know without their mods yours is pretty much dead in the water.
But why is it not free? Like i paid for the anniversary edition, all of the cc content was free but i now have to pay for what is going to be next added?
There's a few ways you can spin this, and whether your opinion is positive or negative will dictate how its spun. You could say its a way of mod creators getting reward for their hard work, or you could say its a cash grab, an attempt to monetise mods instead of offering them for free. I anticipate most are in the latter group, because mods have existed for years, for free.
Modded content is usually a passion project, and creators are rewarded by grateful donations via various methods. Bethesda wants to capitalize on this system. They want a cut of creators' earnings, and they want to force payment upon users who try content, regardless of whether they enjoy it or not. Whether they can afford it or not. This system is corpo cash grab as it always has been. When it comes to Starfield, a game full of empty space and ridiculed as such, consumers will have the opportunity to pay twice as much for content Bethesda never had to lift a finger to produce... That's when the cut they take from mod creators will go up. They just need to get the community to buy into the premise first.
I have no problem buying mods, what i have problem is that the quality of game development further decrease by depending on mods. And essentially we can see that decrease in quality with the release if starfield Basically depending on mods to even make it tolerable to play, after mega gug price tag the game had. Its a situation of like games being early acess and game being able to contantly by modified and work upon compared to older games. The problem is that it became a excuse to give low effort and poor management in the development process that the quality of game and amount of fun you get from them is significantly less than before. You can compare this with starfield and shadow of the Colossus, magna carta, radiata story, rogue galaxy, even Morrowind. They had to be good games, they gad to be finished they had to have mechanics fully functional and minimal bugs etc. Becuse once released the couldn't do anything and their sales realied in the quality if the game. But now we see like starfield where all you need a medicre low quality, skeleton on launch and the mods and the community have basically have to fix everything and then expand on the mechanics. With paid mod Bethesda benefits with zero work, and low quality game launches, and leech from the effort of the moders. Thats the problem. That gaming industry became so excessively complacent in delivering low quality half baked mediocre game, and sell it to the player on a double Price of buying thr expensive half baked game and then buying the many dlc, and also buying the many mofs in order to have a almost baked game at the end. A mod is suppose to enhance the game and tune it to the personal enjoyment of the player and their prefrences. Not finish the game for Bethesda Or make it even runnable by fixing bugs Expanding feature to even by anything then just one number dijit more like it is in starfied.
This update just destroyed my game, I can't even go into the creations menu without my ps5 crashing, all my saves is suddenly unloadable, I can't start a new game, and I can't even try to fix it by removing mods, as I can't get into the creations menu without it crashing. I have bought this game 3 times, original on ps3, enhanced for ps4, and anniversary in ps5, and I can't even play the game. Bethesda just keeps screwing over their supporters and loosing fans.
@@mike-thegamingdad Yeah pretty much, I got into creations yesterday, but it only lasts for a minute or so before crashing. I assume they will update it eventually, so I'll try again later.

@UNSCHELLJUMPERS did you play with mods beforehand? If so I'd probably Google the issue, there are loads of threads on reddit where players start menus are messed up and it's almost always caused by a mod somewhere. Different threads talk about different mods causing the issue and how to fix it, so it's not always a one solution fix. If you don't use mods, or don't fancy searching to find out, I'd uninstall and reinstall the game
I think it sucks the paid mods still disable achievements. If they didn't I would be fine with spending $15 for a gun and the east empire company I mean I did and I'm playing still but I'm disappointed in that 😐

Now, Bethesda has gone and mucked it up once more. Things I had (like my unicorn mount) won't work now (at least not yet) because we used a rollback on the game so as not to lose any of the mods we loved.
I uninstalled Skyrim yesterday, even though I had over 2000 hours played. I will not give Bethesda a penny. All they did was follow Bobby Kotick's monetization model. I hated it in Activision/Blizzard games and I will not put with it in Skyrim. I'd rather find another game to play.
Never have been a fan of mods and don’t use them to this day. I have even avoided the Anniversary Edition for the new OP homesteads and content. Just not my cup of tea. The few content creators I’ve watched who used a lot of mods, I haven’t stayed with. Seemed like their game was prone to crashing and they were always muttering about load order. Though they’ve never appealed to me, a modder should be paid for their efforts if you Ike their content. They do put time and effort into them.
We just want Bethesda to leave Skyrim the FK alone! Yes they created the game, but it belongs to the modding community. Go do this market place to Starfield, since they are so proud of their new sh'tty game, we the Skyrim community don't care.

Thanks, I've been curious what they did. Last time I pulled it up was the 3rd and it hadn't yet updated. Can't afford paid mods. Never got any of the CC except whenever some of them were free from time to time. Finally relented and got AE on sale to get all of the CC I didn't have up until that point. Thousands of hours happily in Skyrim but I just got bored with it and wanted to move on to other games.
Yeah thats fair enough, a lot of people will be in that same space as well.
I am not sure how this really does work I dont have a button called creation in Skyrim AE menu? Help please
Do you play on PC or console? The update has definitely been released for PC, XBox and PlayStation. The only console I think that doesn't have it yet is the Nintendo Switch, so if you have a Switch that will by why.
If you have one of the former I would check the update has been downloaded and restart Skyrim. If its on PC this is done through Steam. On console I'd have to check as I don't play on those
As someone who only uses creation club mods...
Yes I'll buy new stuff for Skyrim.
Fair enough 😁👍🏻 I hope you enjoy them!
Keep in mind the name of the update file "marketplace" .. it's Microsoft dipping their toes in (demanding money back from buying bethesda)
Ha yeah that is very true!
I ran the update and i don't see the Creations option. I'll try reinstalling.
Are you on PC or console? It's definitely on PC, XBox and PlayStation currently. Not sure if it's landed on Nintendo Switch yet
@@mike-thegamingdad I have a Series X. I tried to uninstall and reboot and I thought it worked when it gave me a message it was going to load the club mods I had already. But still no Creation list on the menu. Only New, Load, Credits, and Help (which doesn't actually work anymore). I gave up on it for now, I'll research it later.
@@mike-thegamingdadif you have switch anniversary will it be added our will we just not be able to use it at all
@Bigjuicymale8564 I would imagine so but I've not seen a timeline for that yet. I've seen this though that may work. Gives steps on how to get access to it
www.pockettactics.com/skyrim/creation-club
No auto update or update even recognised for the GOG PC version then? I just started it up for the first time in about two months and after checking for updates it's still on 1.6.659.0.8 and when starting up the game it shows 'unable to connect, update required' in place of where you have 'Skyrim updates' .
Hmm I'm not sure , I've never used/downloaded anything from GOG before
Bethesda messed up
You will not be alone in saying that I'm sure
I just love it when a new update for a game thats over 10 years old proceeds to break my entire mod collection making my game unplayable and now I have to either wait for the engine tweaks to be updated or erase my saves and start from scratch AGAIN!
The price does sound steep, but I really don't know what 600 equates to. 16:21
Can you let us know what you pay, please? 44:11 although I might go for a couple of them.
Enjoy your weekend off and get that lovely voice of yours back to full health.
100 credit=$1 (USD?)
Yeah my plan next week is to do more of both let's plays, plus download these and release a few videos on them, so I'll let you know how much it comes to
So bethesda gonna fix the mod option soon for xbox? mine kept saying loading creations after selecting the creation option.
I've seen quite a few comments from xbox users stating they are having problems post update. Hopefully a patch fix comes soon
@@mike-thegamingdad so I noticed it just needs to uninstall the game then reinstall, should fix and show the new creations option, but if downloading a certain mod could mess up the page. So I hope Bethesda fixes that up.
Anyone else on xbox having problems with pressing these buttons to search (LB) ,load order(Y) or purchase credits(x)? I cant access any of those even when i restart the game.
I've seen quite a few comments from xbox users stating they are having problems. Hopefully a patch fix comes soon
The quickest way to kill this whole idea and stick it to BGS and their Micro$oft Overlords is,
if the authors of Bodyslide/Outtfit Studio and any body mod(CBBE,UNP ect) says No to any one who uses their tool or bodies in the purpose of making a payware armor.
This has completely broken mods on xbone can't even access the new creations menu.
It sounds like it's done similar on PS5 from comments I've read 😵. Hoping it's fixed very soon
Yeah agree totally. I don't actually know the cut they take from this, but I bet its significant.
I have no problem buying mods, what i have problem is that the quality of game development further decrease by depending on mods.
And essentially we can see that decrease in quality with the release if starfield
Basically depending on mods to even make it tolerable to play, after mega gug price tag the game had.
Not finish the game for Bethesda
Or make it even runnable by fixing bugs
Expanding feature to even by anything then just one number dijit more like it is in starfied.
I hope they add creation club to the Oblivion and Fallout 3 remasters.
Are they still supporting those titles?
This update just destroyed my game, I can't even go into the creations menu without my ps5 crashing, all my saves is suddenly unloadable, I can't start a new game, and I can't even try to fix it by removing mods, as I can't get into the creations menu without it crashing. I have bought this game 3 times, original on ps3, enhanced for ps4, and anniversary in ps5, and I can't even play the game. Bethesda just keeps screwing over their supporters and loosing fans.
Oh man that sucks 😵. Is it still broken now? I've seen a lot of issues with mods and load orders but I expected that would happen
@@mike-thegamingdad Yeah pretty much, I got into creations yesterday, but it only lasts for a minute or so before crashing. I assume they will update it eventually, so I'll try again later.
So gamer's with $4000 PCs with 4090s complaing about $5/$2 here and there...?
I've been trying for a few days to rebuild my LO but every time i do i get a random fucking ctd in creations, And had to start from scratch because my mods got forcefully shifted in the wrong LO, I doubt the damage done by Bethesda was by accident and i can bet they are laughing their asses off at our complaints.
Yeah I feel for the people with mod lists they've spent a lot of time on like yourself. Such a pain in the ass when these updates happen
AE people should have gotten something.
Is this update for those with PCs?
I feel those that don't have PCs or Ps4 or Ps5 and using Nintendo Switches are getting the "shorter" end of the proverbial stick as it were.
Sorry for complaining about it. Didn't mean to sound grumpy.
Ha that would have been nice!
@AntiKira20 as far as I'm aware it should be, as Betheasda said the update also contained a host of bug fixes that will make Skyrim run smoother across "all" platforms. Would be odd if it left out the Nintendo.
@@mike-thegamingdadWhen AE released SE got something, so yeah it would have been nice. We will see how it goes, maybe sometimes a mod will be on sale with 100% off.
Guns lore friendly??
There’s a gun in the top right of the map, you only have a single shot tho
Read any lore about the Dwarves. Also, cannons exist in TES. Why not handheld versions?
@Tattletale__ that is true 👍🏻. It did catch me by surprise at first!
I can't access creations
Hey what does it say in your start menu? Is it still the old split of "mods" and "Creation club"? Or does it now say "creations" but it doesn't work?
@mike-thegamingdad it doesn't show anything about creations bc it only has new game and credits and help
@@mike-thegamingdad I did that and clear reserved space
I think it sucks the paid mods still disable achievements. If they didn't I would be fine with spending $15 for a gun and the east empire company I mean I did and I'm playing still but I'm disappointed in that 😐
Really? I assumed these wouldn't do and would be like the AE additions... they need to fix that
Don't buy the armor mod. Its a ridiculous price
Yeah you aren't wrong
I love Skyrim. I hate Bethesda. Modders fixed many of the problems they didn't and haven't for twelve years. The gaming community loves the modders, and we appreciate everything they've done. Now, Bethesda has gone and mucked it up once more. Things I had (like my unicorn mount) won't work now (at least not yet) because we used a rollback on the game so as not to lose any of the mods we loved.
All paid Mods block achievements
Yeah ive seen someone else say the same, I assumed these would be like the AE additions and bypass it but that seems like a big oversight to me
They end like Blizzard with Diablo!!!!its disaster to broke something what is realy good like mods on nexus
Yeah updates which break people's mods and load orders are such a pain. Mods keep this game alive for many, it just ends up annoying people
Skyrim deleted and they can stuff starfeild as well i cannot trust Bethesda and sickened for paying 100 pounds for it so gone
You could still use the Legendary Edition (oldrim). It doesn't get updated and mods are still created for it.
Ah man sorry to hear that!
Yeah thats fair enough there will be many in that same bracket as you 👍🏻
DLC even this dlc is always overpriced main game always gives beter value. It just sucks but yeah not going to buy anything it's just to expensive.
Yeah you won't be alone in that at all, compared to what you get in the game its not value for money
We just want Bethesda to leave Skyrim the FK alone! Yes they created the game, but it belongs to the modding community. Go do this market place to Starfield, since they are so proud of their new sh'tty game, we the Skyrim community don't care.
Yep you won't be alone in that view! The reception to this as is I expected it would be
