At the BT Banking & Economy Summit, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari discusses how the Modi government has transformed the landscape of the Indian banking sector. He highlights that the Modi government has rescued banks from ₹3,00,000 Crore of Non-Performing Assets (NPA). The reasons for these NPAs included issues such as land acquisition challenges, court stays, and lack of permissions from railways or other government officials. Gadkari noted that when PM Modi took office, there were 406 pending projects worth ₹3,85,000 crore. At that time, he, along with other major banking officials, convened meetings to rescue the Indian banking sector by implementing various rules and regulations. He quoted a banking principal that, "Jab koi doobta hai toh usse aur doobao" (When someone is sinking, make them sink further), emphasizing that banks facing difficulties will collapse without appropriate regulations. Here’s an excerpt from that exclusive conversation.

Though it is relevant but slightly different from infra project financing on ground it has seen that banks give finance to firms which get govt. contract . Small entities have to face numerous difficulties from banks right from submitting, processing and actually getting the loan sanctioned at the right time.

Banks can never give or do project funding because of their asset liability management and length of deposits from public and from govt and where their money is locked .govt guarantees or state govt guarantees meaning public debt , or for roads it is toll collection accounts receivable securitization is possible. The real hitch is road expansion or new road or state govt or local body or national highway ,all have different issues. The recent supreme court direction land acquisition says 4 times for rural and 2 times for urban etc.people who knows the entire system only speculate, buy large parcel of barren land and dump to such projects is the reason why for me ationsl highway for one km road at 50 cr we don't know how much is land cost and how much is construction cost . For one meter national highway costing 5 lacs land cost approximately 3 Into 120 sq ft that is three foot length and 120 sq ft breadth , 360 sq ft in one meter road what is land cost is the question. In every 5 lacs total cost and cost of construction. This can be controlled ,either it is road, rail, airports,or housing or ports we need land compensation bond and for construction we require limited purpose construction banks and construction companies must be rated as1,2,3,....7,9,10 star construction companies and weekly payment guarantee systems and construction factoring banking. After completion only we should have accounts receivable asset securitization and there will be correct asset liability and project implementation, delays and assets utility starts. We expect a change in the mindset from election manifesto.only land owners who gave land get all money by huge public debt to be borne by future tax payers require equity all 9 cannon of public finance only can justify this high monetisation. Blindly following pumping in like Keynesian has its own limitations and follow Prof Brahmananda semibombla economic thought process.

Is there a conflict between rhetorics and actions? Will it go unnoticed by the public who deserve and demand better governance? Is the OBC question being addressed with honesty that it deserves?
India is engine of growth. Yes.
Who is driving the vehicle? BJP
Who are the passengers? Rich and powerful.
What is the destination? Prosparity, migration to US and other devloped economies.
Who takes the pollution? OBC and educated middle class.
Who builds the road? Dalit and uneducated.
Are OBC and Dalit, caste based or class based? Should be class based but it is not.
Who are OBC? Yuva, Garib, Mahila, and Kisan as per the govt. Great & welcome.
Who are the OBC in BJP? Modi, Jankar, Mysore Maharaja, Mohan Yadav and many more in the list of candidates contesting in the general election 2024.
When will the Kisan of India be rewarded by pulling them out of poverty? Only empowered and self reliant Kisan community will deliver subsidy/ ration free economy. Kisan and urban middle class make up the OBC.
Amrit Kaal must aim for subsidy and ration free welfare economy focused on health, education, skill, self employment, connectivity and productivity. World's No 1 economy, GDP $10/20/30 T by 2030/40/47 etc are meaningless.
Is this General Election merely an exercise driven by 400+ for BJP/NDA and hatrick for PM. Will this lead to more unconstitutional and invalid laws to legalise corruption, deprive RTI, boosting consumption, produce monetising units out of common people? Is the leadership unaware of HDI or it is strategic silence/ignorance?
Our Sanatan tradition has proven track record of finding visionaries out of the ordinary. 1.4B strong population has enough resilience, capacity and capability. Surely Nation will find new leadership sooner than later to lead the nation and pull us out of the miseries.
