First Person with Harry Markowicz, May 8, 2019

Through the First Person program, Holocaust survivors have the opportunity to share their remarkable personal stories of hope, tragedy, and survival with thousands of visitors at the Museum. This program was presented on May 8, 2019. It features Harry Markowicz, who was born in Berlin, Germany, in 1937. Shortly before Kristallnacht, Harry escaped to Belgium with his parents and older siblings. Harry and his immediate family survived the Holocaust in hiding but lost many members of their extended family.
