    Beautiful feather pendent...It looked like a coolagic truck as you poured resin over the dark surface... Amazing talent. A blue bird or peacock feather would look amazing too..❤

    Hi, sorry for being late to the show! I have ducks and have been playing with resin and feathers for a while. I have noticed if you use the downy feathers like the 1st one and te gray ones they disappear. If you use normal feathers they do show up better. I also tried coating the downy feathers in clear varnish. I did find that attaching them to clear sellotape helped but it wasn't brilliant. I love the pendant! As its molting time here my feather collection is rising so I will try again!

    clever evolution there, id rather use it as a paper weight lol, the detail would be much more visible then. you should try a peacock feather, the colors are so vibrant and reflective, it will look very good with the black base.

    I know you don’t normally use silicon molds but it would be neat to see how different background colors would look. Plus someone mentioned mica. That would be cool idea as well. Color shifting would also be neat!

    I love your doming technique and how you dont break the drill bits...two things i struggle with. Might I mention that set hot glue and isopropyl alcohol are not friends and in a fight...IPA will win every time 😉. Keep up the excellent work and awesome inspiration!

    From every error there is a lesson. The base was very dark, so the first feather was not noticeable and even of the following ones, only the central feather can be seen well. In any case, it is still a very fine and elegant pendant. Congratulations as always 👍🌹🌹

    Very nice. I bet it would look even better if you put a very light dusting of metallic mica powder on the black resin around the edges after it was hardened before putting the feathers on just to bring out the feathers a bit. But it was beautiful the way that you made it as well.

    I tried to do a cockatoo feather a few years back it was a pretty yellow crest feather but it totally vanished in the resin 😹😹😹 some feathers just don’t like to be dipped in resin I think😹😹😹 I have a peacock feather but not sure if I should put it into resin , I would love to make a pendant with it but not sure if it too would vanish 🤔🤔
    You can see the feather centre vain of the two side feathers you placed at least the centre feather showed up 😊

    Great work. I have a question for you. How do you get all of your resin projects free of bubbles? Do you de gas in a vacuum chamber before you pour, or do you use a pressure pot after you cast the piece?

    I have done this before using parrot feathers (i have 7 parrots) and i learned that white feather disappear in resin for some reason. I tried sealing them with hairapray and clear spray paint and they still disappeared.
    Great video!!
