William Fox-Pitt. Sorry but the pomposity of his name made me giggle. Is his double barrelled surname named after William Pitt (the Younger) and Pitt's political nemesis, Charles James Fox? Maybe his family's real surname was too foreign for his antecedents to climb the social ladder so they adopted this posh-sounding, unusual surname. Just an observation from someone interested in history.
