Currently a Tidal subscriber. Was fine without having Stems on this service. Now that the price will increase. I will be cancelling once again. I don't Dj to make money. Only for fun. So, will find an alternative or simply purchase the music I really care for. Cheerios
Same here, although I do Dj for money, it’s not my main form of income and I went form Spotify to Tidal as it was the next closest thing , but now with the new price rise, I’ll be cancelling my subscription,, I maybe use Tidal for 2% of my music
Great video. I use Tidal but they need to clean up the login process, sometimes it takes various attempts to set it up. I manage to use Spotify via another port on my DDJ-1000SRT and on my Prime Go and just mix that in. I don't get the track details, but I do get what everyone wants...THE MUSIC!
Re: Tidal does anybody know if the price rise in subscription for DJ's will include the use of stems? I was really enjoying my DJing with stems but now it's been taken away or not enjoying it at all - if Tidal do not include stems I will be moving on.
Good morning Phil. Another great video from you. I been going over your video on the Opus Quad. Trying to learn this thing. I am VDJ user for years. When I go into rekord box and I go to devise, I do not see the option for Opus Quad. Can you help me out ?
Thanks for making the most comprehensive yet down-to-earth videos and articles, Phil. Saw the second edition of your book is on sale at an 'impulse-buy' price so did just that! I only have TH-cam Music as a streaming service currently, and strange that they are not integrated yet with any DJ software unfortunately.
New subscriber here, have always wanted to learn about being a d.j know a club owner/d.j but won’t want to teach me. I’m grateful for the amount of knowledge you provide thank you 😊 😊😊😊
Streaming Services becoming a problem yep alot music when you try play them saying this sound is not available many artis stoping Streaming Services useing thie music so look out for this
@@digitaldjtips I guess 4 channels if they work at the same time in standalone would be more fun for me. But even 2 channel I would be ok with it , if I spend the 400£ extra for the sc live 4 I wanna make sure is a good investment. I'd be not happy if in a few months something new comes out at 1.2 1.3 k. Been 2 weeks I been watching all your videos , reviews , etc and still can't decide. Even the prime 4 go I wouldn't mind but really just don't know. It must be more that justify the 2 channel extra if I go for the sc 4, but the real question, do I miss alot in terms of creativity effects while mixing with the numark ?
Wav. As a general rule mp3 is always compressed and information is gone. They use wav to make the glass master for mass production. So wav is always better than mp3
Wav they don’t use the MP3 format for mass production so there is obviously a difference whether you hear it or not. Always always use the best quality. You may not hear the difference but there are those (a lot and I mean a lot) who can hear the difference.
Here is the last thing I will say on the matter. Look at the file size of each. With a file that small, there is a TON of information lost. Always always use the best quality always.
@@digitaldjtips still doesn't change they the fact they doubled the price and let's not forget pioneer is trying to buy tidal I'm on a rane one that won't end well
A nice ad also for The SC Live 4 that Denon has a lot of difficulty selling, nice unit by the way, but no stems through Engine DJ, and a bit complicated to handle
@@digitaldjtips Not negative from me M. Phil, just a great highlight of the unit which is a cool one, hoping next update brings stems,, your channel rocks

Sorry to hear that
+1, shame tidal added the DJ stuff as an extra. Maybe would've been better making the stems an additional cost
Likewise. Not getting anything extra from Tidal for the price increase. Sticking to Beatsource for streaming and ZIPDJ for paid downloads.
@@markseymour7548 No more TIDAL. Just canceled yesterday.

This is the "old school" way of doing it, and plenty of DJs do.
Re: Tidal does anybody know if the price rise in subscription for DJ's will include the use of stems?
I was really enjoying my DJing with stems but now it's been taken away or not enjoying it at all - if Tidal do not include stems I will be moving on.
Yes, apparently it will
Can anyone recommend the best DJ Streaming Service for Old Skool Hip Hop ??
Probably one of the mainstream ones, like Tidal.
Is in 2024 Spotify you can use also
No, no Spotify for DJs sadly.
DJUCED WILL BE THE FUTURE SINCE IT HAS FAR BETTER BASIS INNOVATION AND MOST KEY ACCURACY
Doubt that
I agree- beatport and beatsource should be combined!!!!
I think it will happen one day
Hi do you know if stems will be coming to the Denon school live 4 ?
I doubt it
Are any of these streaming services good for streaming Karaoke songs?
Virtual DJ has a karaoke provider service I believe.
@@digitaldjtips If anyone knows, I'd love them to share. In the meantime, I'll do more research.

Much appreciated, this came at a good time
Glad to help Jeff!
I’m glad that tidal is bringing back stems price is up but it’s ok
When?
April
hmm do not use them myself ..but each their own
Cd's and records also have a "for private use only" message printed somewhere on the disc or sleeve.
Is there one more economic streaming services not to pricy? To start….😊

You should buy the tunes that are truly important to you
now if you want to keep using tidal for djyng in virtual dj you have to pay 9.00 more for dj extension,
Yes, unfortunately, this is true on all DJ platforms that support this service
Shout out to the pioneers (pardon the pun) of streaming for dj software. Traktor with Pulselocker
Of course, Pulselocker became Beatport streaming...
Excelent and very informative. Congrats!
Glad it was helpful!

Awesomeness. Thank you Phil 🙌 Beatport Link user since inception. Love it 🙌
Glad you like it!

Why?
@@digitaldjtips they no longer let us play new songs with dj software because of the record labels
I don't know what to buy. Streaming pro go or sc live 4 ? 😢

I own the Mixstream Pro and the sc Iive 4 will be my next kit. No, you aren't missing too much tho.
Would say SC Live 4, standard club layout, key features, hoping next update brings stems
WAV or MP3 when choosing to download a track? Thanks
Wav. As a general rule mp3 is always compressed and information is gone. They use wav to make the glass master for mass production. So wav is always better than mp3

MP3 at 256 kbps minimum, ideally 320 kbps are well enough. You don’t need wav.

What streaming service can you download to cache other than tidal?
Beat Source and IDJ Pool for Virtual DJ
Tidal has become hostile to dj's no stems and now a separate fee to DJ i canceled ny sub going to tey beatsource or SoundCloud I guess
It has reintroduced stems (at a price) and on the contrary, is actively courting the DJ community at the moment.
