This is great, to be honest. I have learned a lot of things. I just love knowing how to solve some of these problems, but I'm aware that my way of solving them is not efficient. Seeing someone else do it in a better way is very educational. These tutorials are just at my skill level. I love it, and it will most likely bring me to the next level of Rhino
Great video sir! need to up my level to be able to pick it up fully will re watch over and over and follow along, also kindly upload more videos from your bili bili playlist. these are really helpful. thank you again 🤝🙏
I'm not achieving a proper blend between the two surfaces, the outer and the inner. The edges of the blend surface are not closed straight at the ends, so after applying mirror, there isn't a complete seal.
Great Tutorial and very understandable. I just have one question so far, after i mirror the half of the helmet like you did at 13:31, and after i matchsrf, when i try to mergesrf it doesn't work at all, even when i don't do the matchsrf, it doesn't work. So i joined them, will that cause problems in the design afterwards ? Thank you !
Rhino is much more successful on creating organic things, but almost everything depends of lines and it's line drawing technic is not as good as Max. Creating perfectly matching lines is much much easier on Max. Modifying the lines by pulling the control points is not a good way I think. Max allows me to do it by dragging the vertex and beziers.
These two softwares were designed for totally different purposes. No matter how flexible or capable Max can be in terms of creating surfaces, it cannot be used by product designers, at least not in the production process.

Why didnt you just use shift and scale the gumball? it wouldve scaled it in all dimensions and it would eliminate the extra steps
Just try it yourself and you will know why
