Thank you for this video! I was searching a lot of info about working moms, that share their experience, but I didn’t find anything decent on youtube. I gave up from a lot of guilty feeling along the way. From a mom of 2 small kids, being 27 myself , and trying to figure out my career, I didn’t put it all into kids. I’m trying to run a business and hired a nanny. I feel like there is a lot of judgement, like I’m not a good mom. I constantly forget about school stuff, I forget to dress up kids for theme days at school, I don’t have time to hang out with friends, to make fancy lunchboxes lol or cook meals. But I really felt all the time like I need to find myself and put a lot of effort into my career( what I’m doing now). The topic of this podcast is very important because I was my life “finished” at 21 when I got first kid and I couldn’t understand where I am. Now at 27 I’m still not there but I’m trying to figure it out. Thank you ladies!

I resonate with you Valerie on this one. I felt like I've lost myself completely when I had my daughter and I felt ashamed for not feeling like other mothers that "found" themselves in motherhood. It took me a while to accept it and embrace my new self. We're all wired differently at the end of the day. It doesn't make me or you any less of a mother than anyone else. Also it made me really sad when Jessica pointed out that the "kids don't care. I don't know if they'll ever love me the way I love them. It's one sided-relationship" I really felt that but I hope we're wrong because that would just break my heart. Anyway love your content ❤❤👍

Relatable… I am still struggling to find my identity, still struggling to find balance every single day and I still feel shit tons of guilt being a working mom and endless contemplation of whether to be a working mom or lose my identity completely to be a stay home mom and be with my son just bcos i know nobody could take care of him as good as I will

This is amazing work you did here. Not only the guest list you have been having, but the topic in itself is very interesting, and not because I am a mother but because it is something that I really look forward to becoming one day. And, at least where I come from, I don't think these types of conversations are actually have. Thank you, Valeria.

This is amazing insight into behind the scenes of how different the world sees celebrities through mainstream media and how Jessica open hearted talks with you. Neverless she is a rare diamond who stays grounded no matter how much starry lights are around her. The word celebrity is used as a stereotype. It creates a division between people. Thankful to people like you Valeria we can balance and connect on a level that wasn’t possible 15+ years ago. Wish other manufactured celebrities would learn a thing or 2 from Jessica Alba. Great work Valeria 😎💯

What a great video! I wish I'd had it when I was a new mom and I'm glad other moms will get to hear these viewpoints which aren't as commonly expressed. So many people act like every moment of motherhood should be joyful, and there's nothing wrong with that, except that when you have the not-so-joyful moments, it's easy to beat yourself up and turn inward and feel like a failure. Thanks for the great show, ladies!

Great insights from Jessica, such a badass take on motherhood, guilt and letting your children exist without suffocating their spirit. Definitely represents motherhood in empowering way.
Valeria, your interviewing skills are fantastic. The questions were super insightful and tied up Jessica’s answers beautifully for a cohesive story. Your talents are endless.

Ok so guilt is normal emotion that in my mind most mums feel. I am glad to say because I am 100% on all the time I never get it. I just get burnt out. I feel like you can either get one or the other. I prefer not to feel it bay solution is to really give them all your time and love.

There is one thing that puzzles me. On the one hand, you portray 22 year Valeria as basically a kid, still trying to find her identity. Don't get me wrong, I am 26 and cannot agree more (although Gary described you as "very mature"). On the other hand, you treat your 4, 8, 10 year kids as adults and ask them if they want to be filmed and exposed on youtube. How can a kid this age, decades from having an identity or even a concept of privacy and insights into the big picture of SM be able to answer this properly? You even didn't know this when you started and you know what it takes to be in this world, it requires a lot of maturity. You claim rights for yourself, so please be generous with your own kids as well and wait until they are grown up and mature enough to make such fundamental decisions for themselves.

I think Valeria wasn't ready to have kids, she was honestly so young..Her husband should have given her more time to grow as a woman know herself instead of pushing her to get kids..he ruined the experience for her.
