thanks for the review. I think the biggest thing holding me back is that the filters aren’t standardized. I feel like if the company goes bust or discontinues this product for whatever reason, I pretty much have a dsyfunctional system I just invested in.

I have installed several Waterdrop systems based on the recommendation of others and have not tried the K5 system. This tankless technology is much easier to package under the counter than the previous bladder type units!

Yes, this tankless system will improve all water. Well water has to be softened for it to work properly. City water is typically treated to a level that will only improve with the RO system. I think you will be pleased.
What do you recommend for filtering/purifying well water?

What do you do with old filters? throw them in the trash or recycle?
I carefully separate all of my trash and a big fan of recycling but don't believe the filters can be included.

Please read the literature and size it based on the type of water you have and may need to have your water tested. Typically additional filters/size are needed based on severity of your current water condition.
