When I was barely surviving in an abusive home, watching your videos, hearing your laughter and seeing you grin was the only thing at the time that brought me any joy and made me not feel so alone. You helped keep me from falling into depression or ending myself, and you helped keep me hoping for a better life and for happiness in general both for myself and for even my abusers. I always thought ‘if only they would laugh more, maybe they wouldn’t be so miserable’.
Lately I’ve started falling backwards again despite being free of my abusers, I’ve come to realize that being free of them only means being free of the physical and verbal abuse, but not the psychological, that it’s so embedded in me it’s a part of me now. I had stopped watching your videos-anyone’s videos-when I’d started reading, writing and living more, only now I’m back here missing someone I think of as a friend even though he doesn’t know I exist, making me feel even sadder and more pathetic than I already do…but then I see your grin again and hear your laughter and it’s still contagious enough to make me grin and laugh along with you.
I know this sounds so corny, but just thank you for always being a bright shining light in this dark world. It means the world to more people than you can possibly know.
