  • Ribbon Chart or Visualization in Power BI
The Ribbon Chart displays the ranking factor of the data, indicating which product ranks highest during a specific time period.
While the Ribbon Chart displays the final value over a certain period, the Waterfall Chart illustrates the reasons why and how the final value is reached.
The Ribbon Chart has X-Axis, Y-Axis, and Legend options. For the X-Axis, you take dimension or non-numeric values as categories. The Y-Axis should be a measure or numeric value, and the Legend should subcategorize the X-Axis further.
As an example, using a Ribbon Chart, you can check the ranking factor of different countries over a period of time, such as which countries' ranks increased, decreased, or remained the same between two years. The same kind of comparison can be done between two months of the same year.
In this, I have also explained Focus Mode. Filters are applied using slicers. Drilldown and Drillup options are explained briefly. For details, you can refer to the Bar Chart video.
In this video, I have compared the Ribbon Chart with the Waterfall Chart and explained the differences between them. At the end of the video, I have enabled data labels in both visualizations.
