I actually really love when shows and movies center on platonic soulmates-it’s more profound and interesting than in romantic circumstances, many times. Grace and Frankie, Jack and Liz (‘30 Rock’), Jen and Judy (‘Dead to Me’), etc.
This show marked my life. I have my Frankie, my best friend. We started the show together and I can't believe it will end. We feel very identified with them, and I will always love Jane and Lily for giving us such a beautiful portrait. 🥺❤️

They already are together. Just because they aren't canonically gay doesn't mean they can't love eachother, because they do. Just not in a romantic way. I dare say their bond is even stronger than that.
Gawd, doesn't anyone understand that you can have that kind of connection with someone COMPLETELY outside of sexuality or sexual preference? Why do we have to make the relationship into something that fits our own expectations? Why can't we just enjoy their affection for each other as it falls out?
It is a tv show and they are characters, I believe people can have fun and feel and imagine whatever they want. People, the watchers, like to cheer for tv characters to be together, even though they might or might not be together at the end. You are the one saying it is about sexuality and sexual preference because you probably don’t see two women together as being normal. If it was a male and a female friend I bet you wouldn’t be throwing this friendship card. But what I mean with all of this, with most respect, is that people can view and feel the show differently and you shouldn’t be that bothered about it. It causes no one no harm.
