The problem with the 'ick factor' about gays is misplaced association. Sex feels good, Sex makes you aroused, turned on and horny whether it's straight sex or gay sex. If it didn't then why do it, right? But not everyone is wired the same to the same attraction. Gay dudes like dudes, straight dudes like women. A straight dude thinking about gay sex is turned off, maybe even nauseated so he thinks _ergo_ gay sex is wrong because it feels wrong TO HIM. He never stops to think it feels great to us.

I know for a fact that homosexuality is taught to children in school nowadays, and is presented as something which is not wrong. At 15 I came home from school with a book called 'Biology For Life' containing a whole chapter on reproduction, in which there was a passage on contraception, a passage on masturbation and a passage on homosexuality. The passage on homosexuality described in graphic detail what anal sex was, and listed it as one of the methods homosexuals used to express their feelings for each other. As it happens, my parents found this book, and were utterly repulsed and disgusted by it. My dad made this remark; "That's not human biology, that's filth and perversion". My mum, being more sensitive than him, was reduced to tears by it. When my aunty and uncle came to visit, they showed the book to them to see what they thought of it. What was taboo to the older generation is regarded as quite normal nowadays. Nevertheless, there's no doubt in my mind whatsoever that anal sex, regardless of who it's practiced by, is a form of coprophilia. Coprophilia refers either to a faeces fetish, or any form of sexual activity involving faeces, which is basically what anal sex is. Would you think it wise to stick your finger up your bottom and then put it in your mouth? That leads me onto another topic; I wonder if oral sex ever gives people sore throats? It must do if I can get a sore throat after eating sandwiches without washing my hands.
So, since it feels wrong or weird or bad to straight dudes they automatically assume it IS bad and men who do this terrible thing are not natural or normal. Of course 2,000 years of persecution by religious bigots forcing along this same mistaken assumption all along about what is really very natural, normal and healthy just because it's not right for them hasn't helped things very much.
