Once someone cheats don't give them a second chance dump them asap and make them learn a hard lesson in life. Once you break someone's trust it can't be put back together.
When cheating happens, trust is destroyed no matter how hard you try to restore it. Also, two other things happen when you "take back" a cheater: 1. Despite all appearances, the cheater will never respect you; 2. You will never be able to look at the cheater the same way ever again. Move on.
@Gary Henzler but she has responsibility within her own marriage to maintain, which is not to divulge in infidelity- it is not a mistake to go against that, she ultimately still had the decision to go forward with it or decline. Cheating, whether it be on the fault of either party, is still bad.
@Gary Henzler bruh shut the fuck up cheating isn't a mistake it's a choice you might be one of the people who cheat so you think cheating is a mistake.
@Gary Henzler cheating is never a mistake unless someone was raped or forced to partake in it,are you saying that the director forced himself on her? Couldnt she defend herself? @Christina Jones Is this how you control your husband, too. You disagree with him, then before he can expound on his point of view you cut him off and end all debate? While watching this, I am thinking falling out of love is understandable, feeling attracted to someone else is understandable but why cheat... Just be honest, end that relationship if you don't feel fulfilled.... Why do you need to hurt the person you once loved... Why!? For what!? Things maybe hard but you are not the only one in a relationship... Why are trying to get a revenge for nothing!? I think people like this are just selfish... "I only need physical pleasure, I still love my husband /wife, it's a one time thing, everything is normal".. This doesn't work... What if your partner does the same or if your relatives /kids find out... Just spare yourself and others and end the relationship!!
Cheating is better because it means the person still cares about the relationship and wants to keep it alive. Breaking off the relationship straight up at the first sign of doubt is more hurtful.

This makes me realize that Leslie Knope and Ben Wyatt were the perfect couple.
I appreciate Adam Scott being in this kind of show, his character is more of a calmer character that goes through serious moments that really elevates the tension for this kind of show.
When she said it wasn’t about him was pretty awful considering how she has never made it or anything about him as his wife.
My man Adam Scott kills it. This should be a Emmy winning scene
I love how no matter in movies or in real life when someone gets cheated on they always try to justify what happened wow amazing
Yeah. They try to put blame on husband, time, breakup, bad mood etc. And as if she did nothing wrong And enjoyed during cheating
This is women in general when theyve done something bad. It felt right in the moment so it must have been right then. Only when there is consequences a woman doesn't want does she FEEL she was wronged not did wrong but wronged by circumstances she couldn't control.

Once someone cheats don't give them a second chance dump them asap and make them learn a hard lesson in life. Once you break someone's trust it can't be put back together.
When cheating happens, trust is destroyed no matter how hard you try to restore it. Also, two other things happen when you "take back" a cheater:
1. Despite all appearances, the cheater will never respect you;
2. You will never be able to look at the cheater the same way ever again.
Move on.
She doesn't deserve Ed.....like she can just apologize it away and the arrogance that she thinks he wants to forgive her.....
@Gary Henzler Sorry, Mistake? You think cheating is a 'mistake'?
Someone can only seduce someone when they want to be seduced, vulnerability? she is a married woman and he is a married man,she wanted to fuck someone and she did,no mistake there, she knew what she was doing and so did he,they a both pieces of shit.Never ever say that cheating is a mistake, only time it is,is when one party is forced into it by a threat or physical assault, even then its more of a crime rather than a fucking mistake.
@Gary Henzler Wow, you have such twisted views, I feel sorry for your past and future partners.
Perfect on how the affair was managed by the writers without the usual stereotypes. He never gets angry, throws or break things, threatens her, or even rise his voice.
Its a tv 📺 show very rare reaction
It's the new age thinking. Emasculate men {particularly husbands} let them suffer betrayal and humiliation, and pressure him to reconcile with the cheating slut with no atonement or comeuppance on her part....

Side note I thought he said he needed to leave to get his "gears checked" the first time and now I see he said he needed to get his "ears checked" and yes I understand I should get my ears checked too.
He wont leave her, that would be a really firm move and this show is more focused on building up the women. I guarantee you Ed forgives her otherwise it's like Madeline "lost" and they wont write that.
Shame the writers couldnt figure out how to empower women whilst still having strong male characters
@@grapeape888 If that's really the way the writers are going about it, it would be a shame. Strong women can be at fault too. Empowering women doesn't have to mean giving them endless chances even after they are in the wrong. I honestly think Ed deserves better. @Christina Jones No it's not. Alphas are rare. Betas are a dime a dozen.
@Christina Jones Is this how you control your husband, too. You disagree with him, then before he can expound on his point of view you cut him off and end all debate? Yup. By her saying that, it's pure projection. She thought he was so weak and stay but then he had the audacity to get mad and leave her. Even simps have a threshold of tolerance for this when enough is enough.
Whoever wrote that dialogue nailed it.
“To get my ears checked” is such a good comeback! 😂

N Ed is so captivating in this scene

Any partner that gets caught cheating and wants to fix will have to realise that they'd literally have to spend the remainder of their lives making up for that cock up, constant reassuring, constant showing of devotion, constant thoughtful gifts and attention, giving up toxic friends, acceloting they're going to be watched all the time, questioned all the time and rightly so. They will literally live to serve the victim if they really want to fix it. If theyre caught red handed the victim will never forget the image the partner cheating and will always be reminded if that moment. A cheater 99/100 will never be fully forgiven. I love ed even though he does seem mildly passive and always going with the flow like the psychiatrist said. But he didn’t deserve that he always stood by her
Even then the court would still rule in favor of the wife, force the husband to pay alimony and child support and dress him as the true cause behind the wife's infidelity.
If he hadn't by chance overheard them, she may have let him grow old without knowing. It would be hard to know, but better than not knowing, i imagine.

I never understood why people loved her character she's was selfish, self righteous and she treated a good , honest loyal man like crap and millions of women loved her scray to think of that
She is strong, has a career while raising 2 kids, is a loyal friend. And what's wrong with being selfish?? For centuries women have been told that they don't matter. Having a character who shows is okay to be selfish it's a nice refreshment. As for Ed, he was a simp. Annoying, clingy and whiny. Not the kind of man a woman dreams of. He is lucky she looked at him twice
She validated them. They all do that.
No Accountability
She is beyond lucky Ed reconciled with her in the end. She didn't deserve it at all. Even in the episodes when Ed is estranged from her, she still daydreamed about the AP, never about Ed. She only had remorse after she was caught and was even yelling at Ed towards the end of the series to make up his mind. Dude was beyond decent and even had a chance to have his own affair with the wife of the guy Madeline was fucking, but turned her down. He was way better than I would have been.
