About a year ago I upgraded my twenty year Traeger to a pits and spits grill with the smoke cage best investment ever. I will keep this grill for twenty years too
I run a Masterbuilt 1050 off a Makita 18V battery with a usb charging adapter and a 5v-12v step up transformer. I can run a 16 hour smoke and have about 60% battery left.
That is awesome! I have used my Lion Energy power station many times to run one of my pellet grills up north! Thanks for watching and I appreciate you leaving this comment!

I'm still waiting on my LSG 20x42 to get here. :(... but while i am waiting i am purchasing all my accessories. Pellets a few varieties. Lumber jack, cookinpellets, different flavors to test out. And 5 gallon buckets to keep them in. Just got pink butcher paper delivered 24"x700' big roll and the stand/cutter is on its way. Maybe an injector kit to be added eventually. All good stuff from watching your videos. Thx for taking the time producing them. You are helping many get stared and to be able to enhance and amplify our backyard BBQ fun. Thx again Ricer

Hopefully in time brother!!! Like I said earlier the LSG will be around forever and in time there will be used ones out in the market!! Thanks for helping out David with you comment!!
I have been wanting a LSG pit long before the pellet grill came along. As a single mother I have to save up for my ultimate pellet grill hopefully by 2023 grill season I will have mine paid for and delivered.
A bit late to the party comment on this video, but I just wanted to drop a note. I'm looking at getting a pellet grill and came across your channel. Appreciate your work, and I enjoy your videos. Thank you.
Thanks for watching and glad you enjoy my content!! Good luck on your search!! They all do a pretty good job!!!I appreciate you leaving a nice comment!
Awesome Bobbi!! I do have a typo in there, ugh the Traeger 780 is only 780 sq. in. of cooking space. Dang it I guess I was looking to hard at it!!! hahaha Like always thanks for watching Bobbi!!
I took a vertical smoker and converted it from charcoal to propane, and then I re-converted it to charcoal/wood. The skills pay the bills, but from what I’ve seen a pellet smoker just makes it easier. I kind of want to go with the stick burner. But I keep coming back to this.
My Daughter bought the pit boss and they hate it. i own a zgrill and love it. I never owned a pit boss so don't know much about them, just saying what my Daughter told me,
Some of Pit Boss's pellet grills are not the best but the new Pro Series models are very solid! I like my Z Grills and I have had great cooks off them! Thanks for watching!!
Great video Jeff! Lots of options out there nowadays! Pellet grills are here to stay and I'm loving my LSG pellet grill! I don't watch the WNBA, but I sure like the women"s wrestling on the WWE 🤣 Dude! You could open up a used grill lot!
Heck ya Rus! My LSg is hands down my go to pellet grill because of the flavor that pit adds to my pellet grill bbq! Oh ya I really like the WWE women's wrestling also!!! Ya I might need to have an auction soon!! ha ha Like always thanks for watching brother!!
@@DeadBrokeBBQ own a Traeger right now , my brother in law has a req-teq. So in my search for the best pellet grill , I watched your videos and that helped me pull the trigger on a LSG. It should be here sometime around Thanksgiving, love your vids ! Traeger is going to my youngest daughter.
Great Video! I bought my first pellet grill from z grills. Love my z grill and have had zero problems after two years. I researched, watched video comparisons and based on size, performance, free cover and free shipping and price.
I been very happy with the couple Z Grills I have owned myself!! Good pit and I enjoy running them! They are good people and working with their company! Thanks for watching!!
I have the Recteq Bullseye. It's basically a pellet fired Weber Kettle. 200-749 degrees for $400. It's just me here, so I didn't need a big smoker and I do more burgers and chicken than I do smoking big cuts of meat. It smokes just fine and will sear a ribeye perfectly. I have the Grillgrates and the griddle addons for it. Pulled pork, steaks, chicken, bacon, eggs, pancakes all turn out great in the Bullseye.
Hahahahahh you're welcome Mike!! hahaha such a fun game even if the graphics are horrible compared to video games these days!! Thanks for watching bro!!
Best summary I’ve found on TH-cam. I’m going to get the Pit Boss Laredo 1000. Seems to be best value all around for small family or small get togethers.
Heck ya! Great starter pit and certainly will run good for the value! If you want a little more smoke and a tube to bump up that smoke profile a little more!! Thanks for watching and have fun!
It's probably good to look if the grill has a ceramic rod which much more reliable than a metal rod which heats the pellets. The metal rod will fail after a couple of years and need to be replace.
I'm hoping to pick up a pellet grill this month. Budget under $1000 mostly for burgers steaks occasionally for bigger meats. I live in a colder area and am new to pellet smokers what would be a first good pellet smoker to purchase?
I would say get the pit boss pro series 1600 for $899. Best bang for your buck with options followed by the rec tec 590 for about the same price. I personally have the 1150 pro series I got for $599 and we love it. Just don’t think it would do great in very cold climates I live in south Texas so it’s a lot warmer. I know grilla grills silver back does great in cold weather too and it’s around $900 also.
@@Jordanfiend361 hey thanks for the reply. Why do you think the 1600 would do better in the cold than the 1150? I'll definitely look up the silver back thanks again
I Like the Pit Boss 1150 for someone that is wants a great entry level pellet grill for a great price! Perfect for a family and having a good family/friends event!
What happens is you start using it for dinner and then you eventually start to cook for the busy week. 1150 gives you enough room for just you and the wife and also has some decent features. The Traeger 780 is also a good option and I will say the controller is a little better than the Pit Boss but no flame broiler in the Traeger.
Great tips, been using yoder pellet grill for about two years now and real happy with it, before I used charbroil from lowes for about five years and it worked pretty good but eventually area around fire pot burned out and rusted through. I also picked up a used egg and between the yoder and green egg its been going pretty well
Heck ya Andrey!! I have used my buddies Yoder YS640 and I really like that pit! Someday I will have one on staff. Fun how we all start with some type of great starter pit but if we really like the hobby eventually we all step up to a pit that has the potential to last a lifetime!! I am glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching and leaving a comment!!
I got a Pitboss 1100 going on 3 years and it is awesome. I didn't know anything about pellet smokers did very little research just went with PB for price and size vs Trager.
I had the 1100 and that was the 1st pellet grill I bought. I cooked on a few before I bought one but once I did I said this is a must to have in my arsenal, I just don't have time to tend a fire on every cook these days!! Thanks for watching!!
I did a ton of research AFTER I purchased my pellet grill 🤣 but when I saw the Oklahoma Joe DXL for 60% off I could not pass it up and paired it with the cover because I knew where it was going to be stored. Can’t wait for my first cook and smoking my first turkey!
Heck ya John sometimes we come across a deal and you have to jump on it!! I enjoyed my DLX, just watch those temps and make sure you always dump out the pellet and burn out the auger after every cook. They are know for auger jams but it cooks great!!
Did you get yours for 267? I had treager wore it out..pit boss would catch on fire ..I just bought the Oklahoma joe,s Pellet grill..I actually like it a lot..
@@DeadBrokeBBQ Thank you, I have a tall garage and am trying to prevent smok from causing issues but don't have anywhere outside to really use my smoker
I started with a flex pipe and put that over the stack and ran it out a wood stove chimney. But now with all these open back exhaust pellet grills I test, I had to add the exhaust fans.
As an avid outdoor enthusiast, I was previously using a Qstoves+ for my grilling needs. However, since switching to Asmoke, my grilling experience has significantly improved. The precision temperature control provided by Asmoke's digital controller has made grilling a breeze, allowing me to maintain my desired cooking temperature without constant monitoring. Not only that, the various wood pellet flavors have added a new dimension to my grilling, enhancing the taste and aroma of my food. Plus, the portability of this grill is a game-changer for my camping trips. It's battery-powered, lightweight, and compact, making it super easy to pack and set up anywhere. Lastly, the Asmoke app has made the grilling experience even more seamless, allowing me to remotely monitor and adjust the temperature. Overall, Asmoke has added a new flavor to my outings and I can't imagine grilling without it! #Asmoke
Ricer, well done. I liked how you presented this information. And it's a tricky question to answer. Especially if the viewer is new to outdoor cooking. I believe the most common misconception for folks who are new to outdoor cooking is the thought that if they spend a ton of money on a cooker that they will be making the best bbq there is ( wow,was that a long sentence, I need to work on that 🙃) . And unfortunately I believe this turns some folks off to getting started in outdoor cooking. Harry Soo is correct, it's not the pit,it's the pitmaster. A person can cook great food on a cheaper cooker. But boy howdy, a better built ( more expensive) cooker sure makes the cook easier and more enjoyable. That's why I like the idea of having some sort of experience level classifications. Beginners, experienced, pro or compat
Dang, hadn't finished, oh well. You get the idea. Anyway I have gone on to long as normal. So anyway, great video. One more thing, that was great seeing you get all those young adults into the video. Well done. Sir have a great day. 👍😁🍻🌤
Like always Victor you always have great value in your comment and I appreciate you adding them to the video!! I certainly plan to do more videos like this and compare even more things. This one was made for a person just thinking they want to buy one but really have no idea what pellet grills can all do and a few of the creature comforts of life they provide. Like always brother, thanks for watching!!
I live between Stevens Point and Waupaca. 100% the only choice is the Lone Star Grillz pellet grill. I have ran both and the Yoder just isn't as beefy and can't produce the amount of smoke that the LSG can. Thanks for watching and On Wisconsin!!!
02/26/23. @ 6:38pm Can you please 🙏 do a side by side cook comparison table top electric ninja wood fire 🔥 pellet grill and the pit boss pellet grill? Cook chicken 🍗 wings or legs I don’t know which one to purchase they’re no TH-cam videos comparing them Thanks
Probably not but where do you want to cook? Indoors out outdoors? That should be the answer. I will say that an indoor smoker will NOT produce the smoke flavor a pellet grill can. Thanks for watching!!!
Another great video and very informative. When people ask me about my pellet smoker now I have a go to video to send them. My issue is I’ve ordered a 20X36 LSG and my build email should be coming sometime in Mid December and I could go bigger then. The 42 is only a few bucks more and it’s not the money but the space on my smaller backyard. The 36 will already be more than 2 times my current grill. Decisions decisions??
Ya Jerry bigger is good but not always the answer!! I say you are taking a big step up and you will have plenty of room in the 36" but that jump up to the 42" certainly is not a lot of extra money!! That 6 inches though can mean another brisket!!! hahahaha Thanks for watching brother and glad you enjoyed the video!!
I was looking at a pit boss 850, but I went with the 1150 for the easy ash clean out. Don't have any complaints other than than the front shelf can collect more trash if the inlaid logo. It collectos more than I would like it to, and it's kind of a pain to clean out. Other than that I love it. I've smoked many a pork butt and brisket on it. I'm gonna smoke a couple of turkeys for Thanksgiving on it.
I agree 100% about the front shelf Robert!! Obviously I film so I have to clean my pits good so they look nice in the video and having to clean that shelf is just adding more work that really isn't necessary!! Thanks for watching and glad you enjoy the 1150!!
Well some will call them smokers if they are vertical or they do not get above 400°. But honestly most are both a pellet grill or smoker. Thanks for watching!!
Very Good info and tips. This will be useful in my pellet smoker purchase. I like the Pit Boss pros and Camp Chef Woodwind. But still open to other options. Nicely Done. Thanks for sharing. 😎🇺🇸.
One of these days I am certainly going to have a CampChef on staff!! I love the value of the Pit Boss Pro Series pits!! Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching!!!
@@DeadBrokeBBQ I got the CC Woodwind solely for the ash dump and the slide and grill features. I never use the latter but the former still makes it #1 for me. Fabulous feature.
9 years my 1st, and on year 4 with my 2nd... and I USE mine year round cause I kill stuff year round. I can't believe it took me 9 years to wear out my 1st. Traeger, THE original pellet grill.
Hey Ricer…Do you feel the LSG puts out too much smoke? Does it make the food taste bitter? I want to pull the trigger on one, but I don’t live near enough to Willis, Texas to see one in person. I’m relying on videos like yours to help me make an informed purchase. Great work, thanks.
It smokes but no the food is the best pellet grill BBQ flavor I have ever made hands down. I have fed my friends that also have pellet grills and they have all said it beats the bbq they have made on their pits. My good friend Tommy from Backyard BBQ is cooking on a LSg tomorrow and filming it. It is a subscriber of his so that is a good test to see what Tommy thinks of the pit. Plus my other good friend Rus Jones from Smoky Ribs and I talk everyday and we both agree that the LSG is the closest thing you can get to an offset. Plus the airflow in this pit runs way faster than my old offset did so the smoke doesn't hang in the chamber long at all. Just kisses and blasts out to the neighbors house so they get hungry too!! Join the Lone Star Grillz Facebook group. Lots of people posting in there. FYI the LSG pellet grill will never leave my house until I am dead and then my boys can fight over it!! hahaha Thanks for watching and the LSG is the real deal.
Need your opinion . . choosing between Pit Boss Pro 850, Grilla Grills Silver Bac and Traeger Ironwood 855. I know there is a big swing in price but the Traeger is at my top end, but could stretch if it's worth it.Thanks
So I see you have cooked on all the big players in the Pellet Grill sector, what's your pick for best pellet smoker? Thinking larger size like you mentioned at the end. Lone Star, Traeger, Recteq or something else?
HAnds down the best pellet grill I have ran to date is the Lone Star Grillz pellet. It is a the closest thing I have ran that comes very close to an offset. Thanks for watching!
The LSg certainly is worth the extra money because that is a buy once cry once pit that you will have for a lifetime. The rest are all good and you can find things that are good in all of them but none of the box store pits will last forever. Sure the control head might go out someday but the pit itself will last forever.
Definitely a lot of options out there for sure. A 20 pound hopper will get through a 12 hour cook no problem, in most cases. I did just a 14 hour overnight in 42F weather and had no issues. Good video!
Ya I have always had success with 20lbs but I have had comment where people, have had issues. I just like that bigger hopper the LSG had, I am spoiled now!!! hahaha Thanks for watching!!
Great vid... I'm looking video... getting into pellet grill but wasn't sure where to start. I mainly cook for me, my two boys and my Dad. Mostly cook your burgers, steaks, one in a while ribs... any suggestions? Also, I live in colder Midwest Temps, prefer cooking most of the year.
If you like to grill and want a little flame kissing the protein then a pit boss is a good option! But honestly I just grill on high with my pellet grills and still get good char marks! thanks for watching!!
LSG pellet on my wish list. I've been using a GMG for 10 years. Decent grill but definitely not in the same class as the LSG...price reflects that. Go Pack Go!
@@Miss_Cali I pulled the trigger and put my order in a couple weeks ago. Lead time is about 18 weeks right now because of supply issues but I'm looking forward to having it this fall!
I saw a blackstone pellet grill/griddle combo at Lowe's for $1100, where one side is a pellet grill and the other side is a 26" griddle. I know blackstone does the griddle well obviously, but not sure how they do a pellet grill. Anyone have one of these?
Reverse sear. I did a video "short" using the Traeger on a reverse seared steak and just seared them with a cast iron pan. This is my preferred way using a pellet grill. Hope this helps!
I will have to see one and maybe try to get it on the channel! Buying a pellet grill is so much harder than it was 5 years ago because there are so many models and price ranges!!! Thanks for watching !!
I looked everywhere for the right pellet grill. There were so many with overpriced features I would never use, or cheap materials that would not be reliable for the long term. I finally found my perfect grill, and I couldn't be happier. My Zgrills 700D4E is the perfect size, has high quality materials, and helps me make incredible food. My wife follows a strict diet for health reasons, and being able to maximize flavor in lean meats, veggies and seafood without too many sugars, extras etc. has been great.
That is awesome Matt!! I have been pretty happy with the Z Grill pits I have owned also! They run great! Glad you are enjoying yours!! Thanks for watching!!
Thanks Darrin! This one was fun to make, ya my hinder is a little flatter from that edit but worth the time!! I appreciate you watching brother and leaving a comment!!
one of the things I wish would have been covered is the noise. These things are so noisy. Its definitely not relaxing to have on your porch unless you have a stereo so loud the neighbors will hate you. I was so close to getting a Camp Chef but after hearing one run, that was it for me. I'll stick with my WSM for smoking and gas grill for grilling.
@@AshKickinBBQ I guess its all relative. If you live in more remote areas or have music on in the background, maybe it's not noticeable. For me, stick/offset smokers and WSMs make no noise, so anything more is noticeable, especially if you're going to go all night and you have neighbors closer. Maybe it would be helpful for them to post noise levels during operation in dB?
Have you ever done a review on customer service from the major pellet grill companies? Grills with igniters, augers, fans, temp probes, control boards, Bluetooth/Wifi need excellent customer service and parts available even after the warranty expires.
No, but since Covid most have them have gone down a notch or 2. Most box store pellet grills are all about the same. Chinese parts are harder to get these days, time for a change but there will be a cost for that too. Thanks for watching Rick!
Why do you list the price of the Lone Star Grillz 20 x 42 pellet smoker as $4,000? I'm on their web site now and it's $2,695... Yes, shipping will also increase the price, however, that's variable based on where you live
@@DeadBrokeBBQ I appreciate the response. I understand that options can raise the cost for all these smokers. I'm only suggesting you utilize base prices for an even comparison.
Yep base price is that but mine has has added features. PLUS LETS NOT FORGET THE $500 or so for freight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My build came in at $4,000.
Sure I can do that one of these days! Typically nut trees for beef and sometimes pork. Fruit woods for poultry and fish!! My favorite pellet flavor is oak but I really like hickory on pork ribs!!! Cherry wood is typically the pellet I use on poultry. Thanks for watching!!
I would lean towards the Rec Teq. Nice pit and hopefully one of these days I get that model on my channel. Also add a Camp Chef in the loop. I don’t think the Weber is still preforming as advertised.

Really wish I could afford a loan star grillz. Have wanted one since I fist saw them getting into the pellet world. Thing is so beautiful
Now about $5000 after shipping cost, I wonder if people will still pay that much 6 months from now when Yoder is around $3000 shipped
buy once cry once. Great guide Jeff.
Thanks Brian!!! Hope to help some of the people thinking about what they want or need in a pellet grill! Like always brother, thanks for watching!!
I bought one bigger than I actually needed. But got it on sale and it comes in handy when cooking for more than wife and I
Smart man Mark!! Good job when it comes to a pit having more than enough room is a great bonus!
Very helpful information, and yes, I did screen shot that table😊👍
Awesome Bobbi!! I do have a typo in there, ugh the Traeger 780 is only 780 sq. in. of cooking space. Dang it I guess I was looking to hard at it!!! hahaha Like always thanks for watching Bobbi!!
I took a vertical smoker and converted it from charcoal to propane, and then I re-converted it to charcoal/wood. The skills pay the bills, but from what I’ve seen a pellet smoker just makes it easier. I kind of want to go with the stick burner. But I keep coming back to this.
If you enjoy cooking BBQ, eventually you will have several types of cookers. Thanks for watching!!
@@DeadBrokeBBQ oh I have been doing this stuff for 15 years. I do want a pellet one tho,
My Daughter bought the pit boss and they hate it. i own a zgrill and love it. I never owned a pit boss so don't know much about them, just saying what my Daughter told me,
Some of Pit Boss's pellet grills are not the best but the new Pro Series models are very solid! I like my Z Grills and I have had great cooks off them! Thanks for watching!!
I have 7 pellet grills. 3 pit bosses. The big pit boss is a pig. Disappointed me to many times. Have not used it in 6 months.
"Go up a size" so true. I have a Yoder 480, should have spent the extra and got the 640.
Ya Stephen I have been told so many times I wish I bought the next model up! Thanks for watching brother!!
Great video! I have a Recteq and it works great
Awesome I just got a RecTeq 340 and I am excited to try it out!
Always good videos! Keep em going !
Thanks Jason!! This one was fun to make but a lot of editing hinder time!! hahahha Like always brother, thanks for watching and leaving a comment!!
Awesome video ricer 👍🏻🤙🏻
Thanks Shaun!!! Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for leaving a comment!
Great advice and things to consider Ricer !
Thanks Kent! Just trying to help people pick the right pellet grill for their needs! Thanks for watching brother!
Agreed. Nice job!
I have a rt-700 from REC-TEQ love it.
I hope to get a bigger RecTeq in here next year Jeff!! Thanks for watching brother!!
One of these days I will get a Bullseye in here and give it a work out! Thanks for watching!
Guess who is going to be playing Tecmo Bowl tonight now!
Hahahahahh you're welcome Mike!! hahaha such a fun game even if the graphics are horrible compared to video games these days!! Thanks for watching bro!!
Great vid Jeff. I think a mention should go out to the American made brands. Smokn’ Brothers, Yoder, and Blaze are three that come to mind..
Great pits, hope to get one someday! Thanks for watching!
The WNBA, Tecmo Bowl. Man, Ricer is on-point with the references in this vidya. 😂
Hahaha thanks Connor!!! I appreciate you watching brother!!
Ya Wayne I hope that pellet grills eventually all have the ceramic ignition!!! Thanks for watching!!!
Thank you for the helpful video!!!
Thanks for watching!!
Lonestar on order!
Heck ya! You will love that pit, I am firing mine up right now to do some pulled chuck and a couple racks of St. Louis ribs. Awesome pit!!!
I'm hoping to pick up a pellet grill this month. Budget under $1000 mostly for burgers steaks occasionally for bigger meats. I live in a colder area and am new to pellet smokers what would be a first good pellet smoker to purchase?
Mostly just for me and my wife
I thought the Lone Star 42” starts at $2,695.00?
Yep for the base model, mine has extra features on it. Thanks for watching!
Hey Jeff. What sort of ventilation do you use to smoke in the garage?
I have 3 900 cfm exhaust fans in my studio now. 2 in the roof and one in a window! Thanks for watching!!
#Asmoke
you gunna post this on every single pellet grill video?
Where are you at in Wisconsin? I live in Fond du Lac and I am planning on a pellet grill upgrade. Considering Lone Star or Yoder.
I live between Stevens Point and Waupaca. 100% the only choice is the Lone Star Grillz pellet grill. I have ran both and the Yoder just isn't as beefy and can't produce the amount of smoke that the LSG can. Thanks for watching and On Wisconsin!!!
my pit boss works great, best smoker for my money is the weber smoke fire, i dont care what tommy says . lol i know how to run a pit.
Hahahahaha someday i would like to trey out a smoke fire!!! Thanks for watching Scotty!!!!!
Remember Hibachi’s. Goin all out in 1974!
Hahahah ya I had a small Hibachi grill back in the day!!

Can you please 🙏 do a side by side cook comparison table top electric
ninja wood fire 🔥 pellet grill and the pit boss pellet grill?
Cook chicken 🍗 wings or legs
I don’t know which one to purchase they’re no TH-cam videos comparing them
Thanks
Probably not but where do you want to cook? Indoors out outdoors? That should be the answer. I will say that an indoor smoker will NOT produce the smoke flavor a pellet grill can. Thanks for watching!!!
@@DeadBrokeBBQ
It will be for outdoor use, just wanted a side by side comparison
I was thinking about buying a new smoker.Have you seen the new Pitboss competition series. I was thinking about buying the 1600cs
I hope to get one in this fall but I think the new Elite at Lowes has a better controller. Thanks for watching!
Tecmo Bowl Champion!
Awesome food for thought. Thank you!
Thanks for watching!!! Ya good ole Tecmo bowl!!! hahaha
So what’s the difference between a pellet grill and a pellet smoker?
Likeable right off the bat.
9 years my 1st, and on year 4 with my 2nd... and I USE mine year round cause I kill stuff year round. I can't believe it took me 9 years to wear out my 1st. Traeger, THE original pellet grill.
Those old Traegers were work horses for sure!! Great pit! Thanks for watching!
@@DeadBrokeBBQ you bet!
Thank you for sharing. I’ve viewed yours and Rus’s videos many times over. I’ll check out Tommy’s too.
Need your opinion . . choosing between Pit Boss Pro 850, Grilla Grills Silver Bac and Traeger Ironwood 855. I know there is a big swing in price but the Traeger is at my top end, but could stretch if it's worth it.Thanks
Hard for me to answer that but all 3 are decent pits. I think the Traeger is a bit over priced though.
Thank you! Not only was this educational, but also very entertaining. I am definitely a new subscriber.
Thanks for joining the Nation!! I appreciate you watching!
@@DeadBrokeBBQ thanks for reply. Was wondering if it's worth the extra dollars over the Timberline 1300 or similar.
The LSg certainly is worth the extra money because that is a buy once cry once pit that you will have for a lifetime. The rest are all good and you can find things that are good in all of them but none of the box store pits will last forever. Sure the control head might go out someday but the pit itself will last forever.
@@DeadBrokeBBQ thanks again, you've convinced me. Will be putting in an order for one. Appreciate the feedback!
Thanks for the time and info!! Just joined the Nation!!!👍🏾
Awesome! Thanks for watching and welcome to the Nation!!! Glad I could help you out!!!
Thanks for the info and the laughs!

LSG pellet on my wish list. I've been using a GMG for 10 years. Decent grill but definitely not in the same class as the LSG...price reflects that.
Go Pack Go!
Heck ya Richard! The LSG is a fantastic pit and still to this day my favorite pellet grill I own! Heck ya GO PACK GO!!! Thanks for watching!
LSG is on my wishlist as well, need to save up for it though.

I saw a blackstone pellet grill/griddle combo at Lowe's for $1100, where one side is a pellet grill and the other side is a 26" griddle. I know blackstone does the griddle well obviously, but not sure how they do a pellet grill. Anyone have one of these?
I will be getting one hopefully soon but the video will be posted on Smoked BBQ Source's TH-cam channel. Thanks for watching!!
First video of yours I’ve seen. Instant sub for the Tecmo Bowl reference. Awesome.
Hahahaha glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching and welcome to the Nation!!
Bro do you have any tips for steaks on a traeger 780? Mine never turn out just right.
Reverse sear. I did a video "short" using the Traeger on a reverse seared steak and just seared them with a cast iron pan. This is my preferred way using a pellet grill. Hope this helps!
Great video ricer
Thanks Bud!
I love my pit boss T2 1000, just wish it had more incremental settings
Ya they need to start making all of theirs with at least the 10° increments!
Eye balling the members mark pro series pellet smoker but being so new on no reviews on TH-cam, it's got me nervous..
I will have to see one and maybe try to get it on the channel! Buying a pellet grill is so much harder than it was 5 years ago because there are so many models and price ranges!!! Thanks for watching !!
great video about grills this is amazing
Thanks for watching Elvis!!!
Dude, your hot brother! It's just a matter of when! Awesome video man. great info! Cheers. 1598Sq, what up. lol

@@bobf5360 they’re not that loud. I can’t speak for camp chef, but others I’ve cooked on aren’t bad.
Wait here in Texas we don't have an end to BBQ season. So that sucks lol
Some great tips! Especially the idea to go a size larger. Don't always have to entertain, though successful BBQ might change that.
Thanks for watching Stacie! You never know when you have a few extra people stop by and having that extra room always helps!
Great breakdown I got the Green Mountain myself. Subbed up!
Thanks for watching and keep the smoke rolling!!!
Why do you list the price of the Lone Star Grillz 20 x 42 pellet smoker as $4,000? I'm on their web site now and it's $2,695... Yes, shipping will also increase the price, however, that's variable based on where you live
TOTAL cost of my LSG is $4k. Mine is not the basic model. Thanks for watching!
@@DeadBrokeBBQ I appreciate the response. I understand that options can raise the cost for all these smokers. I'm only suggesting you utilize base prices for an even comparison.
All good brother! I was really trying to show that some of these pits cost more than a used car!!! hahaha
Best video for a beginner ❤
Thanks for watching!
Outstanding advice Jeff! Always pushing out great content...keep it up brutha!
Thanks Shane!
Where do you get the $4000 for the Lone Star Grillz? On their website it is quoted as $2695!
Yep base price is that but mine has has added features. PLUS LETS NOT FORGET THE $500 or so for freight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My build came in at $4,000.
@@DeadBrokeBBQ glad I live in Dallas/Ft. Worth. I can take a truck and drive down and get one!

I went with Pit Boss. Got the 500 Lexington Onyx Edition at Walmart. I love it.
Awesome!!!! Enjoy amplifying that food!!! Thanks for watching!!
Can you do a video sometime comparing and letting us know what your favorite pellets are in terms of smoke flavor?
Sure I can do that one of these days! Typically nut trees for beef and sometimes pork. Fruit woods for poultry and fish!! My favorite pellet flavor is oak but I really like hickory on pork ribs!!! Cherry wood is typically the pellet I use on poultry. Thanks for watching!!
Loved the techno bowl nostalgia
Thanks for watching!! Did I give away my age?!?!? hahaha
Have you tried the recteq? I’m between the RT1250 and the Weber 2nd gen pellet smoker. The price difference is substantial though.
I would lean towards the Rec Teq. Nice pit and hopefully one of these days I get that model on my channel. Also add a Camp Chef in the loop. I don’t think the Weber is still preforming as advertised.
