Thanks for sharing. This is the first REALITY model railroad video I've seen. The others always seem so perfect. Had one light AHM cattle car that would not stay on track until I glued a one-ounce flat lead fishing sinker inside.
Glad to see a serious modeler who’s not afraid to show the screw ups when they happen, my motto for model railroading is, you’re gonna screw up, you’re gonna break a few models in the beginning, but as long as you learn from it
Bingo! Wouldn't quite call myself a serious modeler though lol, too many get uptight with that title and forget to have fun! These incidents are all a part of creating stuff, but they're fun to show that not everything goes perfect on the cuts we see on video.
My father has two OS gauge trains that were put on elaborate Christmas display in the 1950s. The Plasticville village was very real to us as small children. Everything was properly done with the two trains until 12th night, when the display was to be taken down until next Christmas. My father had so much fun that night, split-second criss-crossing of the passenger train with the freight train, sometimes deliberately detailing the shorter one, and sometimes putting his head on the tracks to hear his little girls squeal and beg him not to be hurt by the oncoming locomotive. He always pulled away in time, though.
I can relate to just about every problem here. “Fantastic” is usually my exact reaction. The pokeball sound got me too. Still haven’t figured out how to fix that issue properly.
Seriously this feels like a sequel to the bloopers of i love toy trains, and hey technical difficulties in model railroads are like in real life and they do cause "confusion and delay"
Exactly why I put together a video showing off the moments we either laugh about, or wish someone recorded! All of these were unscripted during filming for normal videos.
Me: This will probably just be some kid smashing toy trains into each other... Video: Milepost 253.1 Track 1 No defeCRASH!!!! Conclusion: Video was filmed with maturity, but uploader was able to find his inner child in editing the video and sound effects, making something hilarious out of mishaps. The best combination, probably the funniest model railroad crash compilation on all of TH-cam.
All made in good fun! The rest in the series have better clips, 1/2 were made up of dud footage I had sitting around for months trying to make other videos.
@@SCL3618 I watched the rest of the series after commenting this, all great fun! Overall looks like a combination of a few staged crashes, some totally unintentional mishaps, and some had the camera focused on a known trouble spot in anticipation of a crash (lots at that particular level junction that tends to snag couplers). Great to see serious model railroaders who don't always have to take everything so seriously, can have some fun and silliness with the absurd stuff that happens. Makes the whole thing a lot more fun.
That BCR derailment was sooooooo realistic that I wouldn't be surprised if the news outlets ask to use it as stock footage for past, present and future mishaps. hehehehe

Lmao the horn instead of a bleep at 0:59 is hilarious
@@kansasstatealerting2874 close enough, its two fucking seconds

Orange Boxcar: *i'm about to end this man's whole career*
I'm glad I'm not the only one with Passenger and freight cars that randomly jump off the track
In total it has cost me about a hundred dollars
A consist of 50 cars
48 of them: perfectly fine
The other 2: OH LOOK A GRAIN OF DUST OFF TO THE FLOOR I GO!!!!!!!

The blue painted Santa Fe unit looks spectacular. Nice
Love the RC tanker truck !
It's awesome! Built by a friend of mine, should be appearing once more after parts are sourced again.
Oo9uyj
AWESOME!!! That 18 wheeler was awesome.
Thanks! It'll be back in some more videos soon..
The Sega boxcar's derailment made me laugh 😆
SEGAAAAAAAAA
SEGA TRASH
I showed the Sega box car part and my friend act weird :P
2:42 CLASSIC CAR HOORN THAT IS HILARIOUS 😂😂

In the final poor lorry hahaha😆👍😁. Again amazing video.
“Track one no defects”
Boxcars: are you sure about that?
It wouldn’t be model railroading without technical difficulties!
Mmmmmm, preach.
да э эта крута
0:09 Wow I've never seen a blue & silver Santa Fe locomotive before. That's so cool. I've only seen them in red & silver, & in dark blue & yellow.
FP45 and a GP60 painted up in the hybrid Santa Fe / Maresk livery in the late 80s early 90s for promotional reasons.

The errors in the hobby model train actions are humor sense made me laughing 😄.

Don’t people think that song it is the fastest hedgehog but no didn’t go as fast is it like a train
Freight train
lol this is pretty good especially the sega car derailment and the drifting railcar meme one xD. Plus really nice job with the sound effects!
Thanks for watching! Will cook up another as soon as I amass enough b-roll wrecks..

This is why I cut off the air hoses of knuckle couplers. They keep getting caught on the sleepers.

Heavily influenced by the sfx library they used in multiple videos.
