I’ve been trying to make this work for me too and everything you stated, exactly happened. I’ve tried it with several primers, without primer, with face oil and it’s not working. It dries very matte on my face and it looks like I’ve caked it on. I really want to find a way for it to work for me 😢

Yep the Guerlain Terracotta is stunning. Nars Light Reflecting is my other top one. I also love the old standby, Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay in Place.
I find that the more emollient sticks work best for me but of course it's hard to know that before buying one. Have you tried the Makeup Revolution Fast Base sticks? I have several shades of those and they work really well for me.

I tried the Juvia’s Place stick foundation years ago. Was like a oil slick and it slid around something awful. Thread gave me the same vibe.

I have dry skin, large pores and texture..Foundation sticks have never worked for me..I should try with primer
