Geez a local switching the lumberyard, a once common job everywhere. All but gone now in our region, Ohio. Usually 84 Lumber has or had sidings and received big shipments by rail here. Few others do now since the last housing bust.
I love these kinds of videos where we get to see the "nuts-n-bolts" of railroading - like hitching up the train like this! I've shot some railfan video (and posted a bunch on TH-cam), but I haven't had opportunities yet to catch this sort of thing. One question - what is he doing after the car is connected with what appears to be a valve? I assume something with the air brakes? Thanks!

I notice the first car is delivered to a paper or any other wood products factory. I understand the car was containing wood pulp or wood chips.
