There are THREE incredibly great accomplishments about what you did here A) Your video is well produced, contains NO FLUFF and shows exactly the "how" of what you're demonstrating really does work THEN B) I've tried it and It actually works in Figma Jira as you described AND the BEST PART C) You clearly understand exactly what is needed by various stakeholders incl. a project manager, a designer and a product manager. So very very few "how to" videos on the internet do this well enough to deserve high praise. You deserve VERY high praise. I'd like to say that everyone should be able to do this. Unfortunately, so few are able to. I do not know why, but I think they get wrapped up in emotions, attention grab, etc... I would love for us to work on the same team one day! Really well done Lukas!🙇🏽 Thank you!
So why are you not making more videos? It's probably because you're a productivity oriented person. You produce and occasionally when you think it makes sense to share, you'll create something of high value. You probably prefer quality over quantity, and you don't care for subscribers, attention, etc... I hope I'm not ascribing things to you that are not true, but my sense is that it is!
This here is revolutionizing. Finally a designerly way for me to tackle Jira. Question: our company Jira uses Story Points. How do I make a field in the cards to reflect the `story points` field and get it to parse data from a Jira ticket?

Thank you for the great work. Can you please help, when I click on 'Create API token here', it does not open the browser to get my API token. Can you please help to solve this, so i can using this great plugin?
Great plugin, but it is a bit unstable. Usually looses communication between figma and jira. I recommend to save your API token password in case this happens to you
Hi Amy, it is not possible to create tickets via the plugin. You need to create the ticket first and then sync it via the plugin. It is possible to see comments, but dependencies unfortunately not. Cheers Lukas
Hi, you video and plug-in is so useful when I use jira plugin in Figma. 👍I got some issues about main component. Every time I use a instance which is updated with new color og style then click "Sunc selected", it went back to standard component. Is there any good way to build a own designed component card for all different figma files teams work with?🧐
Hi Yu, I am not sure why this would happen. Did you rename the component by any chance? The name of the component has to stay the same. And yes, you can reuse a designed component in by doing the following: 1. Add the component to a library. 2. Select the component and click "Use as default component" in the design panel on the right. This way, the component is used as default for your team. Otherwise, you can also copy over a component to a new file before you open the plugin. :)
@@winwolf2011 Everyone in the file can use the same component. The account and token is saved per user, so everyone has to have their own account. Or you can of course provide them with your email and token.
questions! 1. how did you do that search box thing at the start? like a cmd thing. 2. the desc cannot parse text formatting and emojis. it returns like a markdown. is there a way to fix this? Great plugin by the way 👍
Hi Oatly, 1. You press cmd + / 2. Normally it should be able to parse the markdown properly. Please send me a screenshot of your issue via mail, so I can take a look. bittner.lukas@gmail.com Thank you!

Who knows, maybe in the future I will create more videos. :)
Such a great plugin! Started to use this from today. Thank you guys!
WOW this is so awesome! the component design has changed now and looks so much better. Thank you!
Thanks, glad to hear you like it. :)

Thank you so much for the kind words! Currently it is not possible to display story points, but I am working on an update to display them. Stay tuned!
@@lukasbittner404 Displaying story points would be great! Do you have a status update for adding this?
Ok super random question, where is your jacket from? I really like it. Great video btw!

Would be great if we could have images and comments there :D
This is super helpful, thank you!!
Very helpful - thanks
Does it exclusively function with Jira Cloud since it's not compatible with our Jira domain?
Yes, we also need this for JIRA Data Center ASAP!
Hi Lukas,
Is it possible to create the issue and see the dependency and comments on Figma using this plugin?

Can we create a ticket directly from Figma to Jira!
That is unfortunately not possible. I recommend using the Jira Widget for this use case.

@Lukas Bittner. Great Plugin. Can you update status of Jira Ticket directly from Figma? Will it sync in Jira?
At the moment you can only update the status from Jira.
this is a useful tool, but unable to get it working in VPN and Company hosted Jira.

Yes, you could do that!
