Looks soo good!! Never thought about doing the Mississippi style on anything except roast, but I love all the different ways!! Addie is just adorable! I see she has her dad’s sense of humor!!
Made the instant pot chicken thighs version today. I found a problem with it... it was so good it was hard to let my husband eat any! I wanted to keep it all to myself! Thanks for always having such great recipes for us!
Oh my, little bit has definitely gotten Dad’s sense of humor🤣. And you are smart sweet! ❤️ (known to my nieces and nephews as....) FAVORITE AUNT KRISTY in Missouri 😃🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Speaking of juice, for fried chicken I use the dill pickle juice to marinade chicken and dipping before i flour my chicken... Dolly Parton dose that recipe...
Love seeing mother and daughter in the kitchen together! Good job girls!! Shake..shake..shake, shake..shake..shake, shake those chicken legs! LOL I made the Mississippi Beef Roast yesterday...OMG...the BEST!! Sure this is good too (if you eat chicken legs) but we're white meat eaters. All you leg eaters, enjoy!
Sooooo missed your videos! Glad you're back, but also glad you got some well deserved time off! Miss Add must be starting school soon. I bet those chicken legs are good cold...in a lunch for school!
I just discovered your family over the weekend. I am making these at this very moment! Can't wait to try them! By the way, I love your family and the laughs that I am getting from you! GREAT WORK!!! I plan to try the bourbon chicken next!!
I made this recipe this week. I didn't get to the store in time to put the ingredients in the crock pot though. I cooked them in the oven at 350 degrees for about an hour and 45 minutes. The chicken was actually at temperature by an hour and 15 minutes. The tops of the legs were good on the crispy side so I decided to turn them and let the other side get a little crispy. They were really good and everyone loved it. Thanks for sharing!
Making this today but I’m using banana peppers since me and my family don’t care for the heat the pepperoncis give off. I’ve made Mississippi pot roast multiple time and I think the banana peppers would be better
First and ONLY video I've watched..... and it's all your daughter's fault! I subscribed! he he I'm from south Mississippi and can't wait to see more of your videos!
Weird question: is there a substitute for using to broiler to brown it up (aside from grilling)? Every time we use the broiler, it sets off our smoke alarms, so we avoid it. And we don't own a grill (aside from a George Foreman one), so I can't do it that way either. :(
We're actually workin' on that very recipe for a future video! Here's the full recipe we're fixin' to tape: www.recipesthatcrock.com/crock-pot-country-ribs-bacon-ranch/
I think if you subbed approximately or a little less dill pickle juice instead of the pepperoncinis/pepperoncini juice it would give a similar tangy/vinegary taste that the pepperoncini does. Which is what I'm going to do next time, since my family does not enjoy the pepperoncinies or the juice thereof like I do. sigh.
Well, in a very short time from now I will be forced to make these Mississippi legs in my pressure cooker! I can't did anyone who has done then that way! I love chicken on the bones and I didn't get these in the crockpot earlier so.... I hope they turn out ok. I am a little afraid because even you haven't said to use bone in.
Great video! Not only was this a great sounding recipe, but the video itself was fun and entertaining.
Always come back to this recipe. Making it in my instant pot. Love this recipe

you could seal the meat and brown it before putting in the slow cooker Nicole, that might help.
LOL MIss Addie! "Cooker's dozen"
