Does exactly what it says on the tin.....simple to use, fully waterproof
Yukon WP fits excellent on Suzuki V Strom 650 XT as well. Very well made tank bag and perfect locking mechanism. The magnetic closure is magic BTW 🙂
Have a Pro City, which is great for massive amounts of storage... But I can't turn my bars all the way and if go too far it puts my Africa Twin into neutral! This looks just right for daily needs.
Your video was fantastic! Very informative, detailed,...funny, to the point. Sealed the deal for me. Ty
Can't wait to get one for my upcoming trip across Australia..need the waterproof Great video as well!
Can you feed a power cable to inside?
I really do appreciate your videos, they are super informative. I just wish your pricing matched all the other retailers..... and please dont tell me that making videos costs money ( you have youtube ads)...alas, keep up the good work
My prices are aligned with the RRP and I’m conscious of supply chain issues. Being the cheapest when supply is hard to sustain is suicide. Been in business since leaving school in 1991 and quickly learnt that being the cheapest is a race to the bottom of the barrel. Not looking to rip anyone off but quality retailers and quality consumers recognise one another. I do discount products but generally offline (via email interaction) and when an accumulation of products are purchased and discount is rewarded respectively.
Re the TH-cam ads. I consciously try to remove them as I rely on sales as a sole revenue stream and not TH-cam. If you’re seeing ads on my videos, that’s not my doing. I think TH-cam put them on there regardless whether I monetise or not.
@@ABIKETHING Steve, me being in sales or a long time and working for a reputable blue-chip Multinational manufacturer selling premium products, it is true that when you sell on price you loose on price. I know that you also use some of our products when you work on bikes because of its premium quality. In the end You get what you pay for. However when people are buying the same brand/product it doesn't apply and price sometimes will play a major role at all. AND you are right each country, market , retailer has different situations. I live in Canada and if I take the taxes in UK + local currency, I don't see that you are selling at a higher price at all. Take the ASV C5 brake lever. if I want to buy it from the US it would be around $180 CAD which is close to what you are selling it at. I believe it is Ok if consumers pay a small plus for the price when they get a premium support, information and how to from the seller which is the case with A Bike thing. I just wish you have a store here in Canada lol !! Or maybe I can make a visit one day to your store in UK. Keep it up. Cheers !
I love these SWmotech tank bags, but I hate it’s red tag system. It not works properly when you on a tour for more then two weeks with all sorts of weather conditions.
Subscribed n extra like for those honest 4 takes 👍🏻😂, I'll still buy the bag. 1 question though, is the speedo view compromised due to the height of bag? (Gs1250)
My question too. I have a Quadlock STEM MOUNT for my bike for phone/navigation, and want to know, even with a short ball-arm extension from the stem, whether your view might be partially blocked or not to the QuadLock stem-mounted phone....
The magnet is so weak that the top cover opens by itself at 150 km / h. BMW F-900xr. I have a Puga windshield, no matter if it is lowered or raised, the lid opens and covers the entire cockpit, Very annoying when you have to get distracted every now and then and close the lid.
New bags are out in july. A city bag fully waterproof.
Good to know. I’ll be sure to get this in my inventory
I wish their was a spot for a paper map for reference when your out of country, ty
Does this has a power input option? Looking to get ride of my bar bag so I can carry a slr camera be handy to charge phone etc in the bag
I've got the old version of this bag in a nice hi-vis colour on my SV650 that I use as a camera bag. Do you think this version would still be good as a camera bag, as I'm soon swapping to a Triumph Sprint ST 1050? For reference, I'm running a Canon 600D with a Sigma 17-50mm wide angle lens, so it's a moderately bulky setup. If not, what else in the SW range would be good for that purpose?
Well I run a daypack on my bike which isn’t waterproof but I still put my Sony mirrorless in there and store a rain cover in the lid just in case. I use to have a 600D too. Agree, bulkier but it still fits in the day pack fully closed which is 5L. Yukon is 6L
It does not have strap to wear it when not on bike. So it is a no.
2 seconds and the bag is in the hands of whoever wants it.
I just got it today and turns out that it won't fit the bike because I have pull back bar risers. I got the Rox pull back risers and the bag is not compatible unfortunately.
Yeah I guess this would be an issue if you’re changing the position of the bars. Bar risers would be ok but bar back risers will definitely reduce the area where the tank bag would sit.
Looks kind of tall, does it block view of the TFT at all? Would it block on say a R1250GS? :)
Not at all. Take a look at the other videos I’ve done on the KTM and GSA as I get on the bikes with even taller tank bags and demonstrate the field of view
Just fitted this on my gsa from Steve and you can see the tft no problem and I have the quad lock phone mount which now I have adjusted it allows you to see your phone Clearly too!
This fits my needs perfectly. Not available in Canada yet. :(
I assume that’s you who bought one yesterday? I can see one going to Canada today.
@@ABIKETHING nope!
Steve what's your take on the SW Motech fog lights? I didn't even know they made them until I went to the website...
Not had chance to see them.
Any idea how this or even any of the range sits on the new 1200 tiger? I feel the tiger has a slightly odd tank cap position so am worried about which tank bag to get for it!
I think there will be a bit of a wait for the tank ring for the new Tiger. I haven’t checked if it the same fitting as its predecessor or not. I’ve sat on the new 1200 and the position of the cap and shape of the tank didn’t scream out to me that it’s going to be a struggle to get a tank bag on there. I’ve just sold my KTM so I may be looking at getting in the new Triumph to push products for it.
@@ABIKETHING It rides beautifully, that engine is a gift that keeps on giving!
Is there waterproof access for a power cable into the bag?
No there isn’t
You can use something like the GIVI S111 + S110
I bought one of these bags, and it leaks water terribly. Not worth the money.
I hit the like button at ‘its literally as easy as this - take 1’ 🤣
Lock down is over, enough with the inmate…
