Sat on a Lake (Christina) British Columbia,Vancouver with my Mother and played it on Guitar and we sang it together on the pier under the most beautifull Starry sky one could imagine!!!.Love you Mumto me this song means so much!!! Thanks Eric,PEACE AND LOVE
I think what makes the Layla original of this so great is that he's probably hammered singing it...I know that sounds insensitive but his vocals rock on that album...he tries falsetto, really shreds it in parts too (Layla title track), and I reckon he was steaming! On the Live At The Filmore album with the Dominos he's hoarse as hell and it's great...I dig Clapton, and I know the guy has a different opinion of himself than we do, but Derek and D's was a golden period, musically and the rest.
In a cold, cruel, crazy world; thank you E C , for every note.
one of the greatest acoustic solos of all times!
this is one of my all time favorite Clapton songs -- unplugged makes it all that much sweeter!

George CLOONEY would say : "What else" ? Great. Very great.
One of 3 songs inspired by Pattie Boyd. The other two are: Layla (the most famous one) and Wonderful Tonight.
