Many a fun, fantastic, and exciting Sundays are remembered every time I see one of these videos. Thank you! As I have commented elsewhere, I have watched the 1977 season week by week. Entire games in order, then the highlight shows & MNF when available. I had so much fun reliving like I was watching in 'real time' again. The regional games I never had a chance to see were just as fun as the ones with my favorite team.
Being born in Nov '70, this is the first 'formative fan' season in my young life. My first football cards, mags, ect plus of course captivated by the game. I remember players and a few games before, but this was 'the gateway ' season for a lifelong love affair with the ball of foot 😉😃
I see ya working Media Dugout. I'm appreciative for any and all late 70's early 80's footage. For one I loved the era, as i was heading towards my pre teen years and getting to see Air Coryell take flight every home game. The announcers were so solid back in this era
@@bryankolen7265 YES Bryan, Let's discuss it- Summerall had Brookshier, definitely a great pair. I also loved John Brodie paired with anybody, and Bob Trumpy paired with Don Criqui. Merlin Olsen worked great with Enberg. Who am I missing and who were some of your favorites?

In the Dallas-St. Louis game, Cowboy defensive back Benny Barnes and Cardinal defensive back Lee Nelson were thrown out for fighting, and there was a pretty decent fight between the Colts' defense and the Bills' offense in their game.

Because Dallas was on Monday night, and the only other east coast game was Redskins-Eagles, but they had Sonny Jurgensen as color commentator who played for both teams. Summerall-Brookshier would normally work Giants games if CBS didn't have the double header, I didn't really know there were other broadcast teams on CBS until I was 12!

My favorite team of all time is the 1979 buccaneers....boy...were they bad in '76, '77 and '78

That explains why Tarkenton didn't play in the Mud Bowl at the LA Rams.
