Great video, thanks! For me, there are two reasons the paddle shifters are needed. 1). If you drive in the mountains, it is the only way to manually downshift and upshift the L405 to manage downhill speed (To avoid brake overheating) and uphill torque. 2). If one off-roads in the L405, the paddle shifters enable the driver (In sport mode) to hold a gear to add additional control of speed and torque.
If you regularly maintain them, ask your garage to carry out any preventive maintainence when servicing them, they are actually very realible cars. We have had a sport as our family car for 5 years now, the longest we've keep any car and we love it!

@@DylansCarReviews I agree with you, the other issue I've noticed is that you can find they are affordable on a finance deal but not necessarily affordable are the running costs and thats when maintenance can be overlooked! Had Discos and RRs; dealers were awful. Never interested once you bought the car. Argued that obvious faults (usually air suspension) did not exist until I insisted the workshop manager came out with me. Had a stereo fault which they kept blaming on Apple until I found a JLR service bulletin which addressed the issue, but they still tried to avoid fixing the fault under warranty. I suspect a general order to deny faults and avoid warranty costs. Had Audis - brilliant after sales, never argue, call to see how you are getting; shame the Q7 is such a monster.
Another great review. I had my Vogue new in 2017 and did 20k in a year before I got rid of it. Regretted it ever since, such an amazing car! Didn’t have any electrical problems either, despite everyone always saying I would.
Awesome review as usual! I have a 2018 RR Sport Supercharged. Love the engine, fit and finish but the software issues are horrendous. It’s hard to believe a $100k SUV can have such issues. Keep the videos coming they’re really enjoyable!
Hi Car Guys, bought 12 plate 1 year ago, just spent three grand, £1700 on new inlet manifold, it cracked, new brakes, new front wishbones, new caliper and pads all round and a bit of a service.. tax £550 and a full set of Conties. Get rid??? Absolutely not. Love it and loved the video.. keep it up.
I’ve owned a RR 3D for the last 3 years done 53k miles no issues thank god. Only issue is the dealerships are rubbish ! When dealing with RR dealerships it’s like having your teeth pulled with out anaesthetic !
One of your best reviews so far. Love the humour and Damian dropping the s-word that went unnoticed by the censor! Also when Jason said that the Range Rover is the working man's Rolls Royce who made it, I always felt that a Jaguar was the working man's Bentley.
That's the version I'd have (keep the "sunroof") : 4 litre diesel engine in the colour here - so good, I'll have little trouble parting with little over £100k for it. What a way to promote British Motoring history - once again, another excellent review!.
Just purchased the 2018 facelift model. Black grill ordered and black badges being fitted next week. Sorry 🤣. In my defence…. I’m a 42 year old and my wife said the chrome makes me look like I’m driving my Dads car. Great review!
As of September 1st this year, Land Rover halved their Approved Used warranty period down to 1 year only. LR doesn't even have faith in their own products anymore. (I own a 2016 D4 myself).
A 1 year used warranty brings them into line with most of their competitors. BMW, for instance, have had 1 year warranties on their used cars for years. Would you say that that’s because they have “no faith in their own product” either?
A few points: 1. The dual view screen has been discontinued from currents Range Rovers. 2. You may feel that the paddles are a gimmick, but I use mine daily. I might not even be unique in this. 3. Remove those ridiculous 22” rims and fit some 20’s and not only will it be a lot more off road capable, but the ride and the tramlining that they’re vulnerable to will improve immensely. 4. Please get some off road training in one (even try one of LR’s own training days) and then come back and make some, well informed, comments about wading in one 👍
Perfect addition to a Garage full of Sports and Supercars ! I have had 7 of them (all 4 generations) as a daily driver since 1990 .... and its the ideal daily to complement the toys.
@@raph_csg I had two, and both were great ! Other than regular maintenance, they were pretty much trouble free. Granted, I bought them both brand new and owned each for 2 - 3 years ......
Hi Damian & Jason, I have just been past my local Range Rover dealership and I happend to spot a murdering drug dealers loading up his new 69 plate Range with Semi-Automatic weapons and for some reason two men carrying what could only be a full bodybag. At this point I decided not to stop and have a look around just not in the mood and went to Skoda and not a drug dealer in site just disabled people and OAP's picking up thier new motability cars but you got a strong smell of piss & biscuits as you walked in the showroom and the cleaner mopping up piss and not to mention the odd exploding colostomy bag poor girl must have only been 17 and coverd in her own vomit . YOU GUYS CRACK ME UP SOME OF THE BEST LINES YET GREAT WORK GUYS LOVE IT
Guys its clear to see you have not used a Range rover before in the countryside or for country life, for crossing a river = just raise the car up using the suspension ( and also great for attaching a trailer thats too heavy to lift by hand our when you want it to stay level). Black alloys etc is for drug dealers ( new money), 22s are too big, 19s work a lot better and give a better ride, The Paddle shifters etc are for when you want more control off road or are towing something really heavy say a 10 tonnes etc and you want more control over the gearing so you always have the power when you need it (ive used them for that). Hope this clears things up.
Chaps, I was prepared to diss. And I may have posted a short array of cheeky ripostes to other viewers. But listening a little more intently to your comments, you've hit the national view of the vehicle perfectly. Great video and incisive and witty review.
I think 900mm is higher than the wheels if you measure it i recently also I went through a metre in recent floods no issues, the choice of terrain is there if you know what your doing if not you leave it in auto set it will do it for you I think you sussed that in the end. No idea how you manage to wipe your sat nav in reverse never happens normally. Door handles are for access from the front not the edge so you don't need to damage your little pinkies. Would say not had many reliability issue over 30 years of ownership they are normally due to peeps thinking they can run them on shoe string budgets. Generally a good review though
Good vid. I’ve owned a few Range Rovers. Only one was a problem child partly down to age and prior owner did do all the serviceing but didn’t in other ways. And I had to let that one go. I’m looking at getting another one but newer and lower mileage and following the rule of buying one Full service history and looked after. Personally bar the one bad egg I’ve found them to be Much more reliable than I expected from the rep, I also enjoyed doing some of the mantanace myself witch is the best way to make it more affordable and if competent at mantanace probably better looked after than most garages, and as a owner you won’t get ripped off. But saying that still it’s a premium car and some parts are premium priced and isn’t a budget car. But I think Range Rovers get a very bad rep due to being abused or being run on a shoe string budget. Key is mantanace and expect things like sensors can go Wong but that can happen as much on a Toyota. Also I found with my tdv8 4.4 I was getting around 40+ mpg and mid 30 around town but that could be down to driving style. But I may be biased but RR is in my top picks of realistic cars to own but isn’t for everyone.
Fun video - thanks - enjoyed the humour. I am fortunate to have a seven-month-old 3 L autobiography and, to date, I’ve had no problems with it (touch wood)- nothing but fun and delight. I have two friends who bought new range rovers a couple of years ago and they are both equally delighted, also with no problems. You can only speak as you find. I guess a 10-year-old one would have broken bits but then that applies to any make of car on the market - they all start to wear out after six years. Personally, I’m not convinced that Land Rover products are any worse than anything else. Hope I’m right.
You were also commenting on the confusion with the sand gravel and various all terrain modes. Just leave it in auto, the Rangie will adjust itself accordingly, hence auto! I am on my second one of these, tremendous vehicles, just all you will ever need......go anywhere luxury!
I recently owned a 2017 Range Rover sport autobiography 5.0 v8 a £93,000 car new that come with factory fitted extras by Land Rover (upgrade sound system, head up display & full panoramic sunroof) after a short time a piece of rubber jammed in the panoramic sunroof so as car was under Land Rover warranty I took it to a main dealership (Stockton-on-Tees) and was told the full roof would need replacing. I said go ahead the car is under warranty but guess what they come back & said that part was not covered ? They Fitted It ! I complained to ceo of Land Rover and got no help whatsoever. SO BEWARE warranty not worth the paper it is written on ! ! ! Ps: update I took car to another dealership & rubber was sorted NO new roof needed at all. I sold car as disgusted with Land Rovers attitude including the ceo
The centre stack display technology is termed "Dual View" and uses a parallax barrier technology to display a different image to driver and passenger. Too lengthy to explain here in detail but essentially the driver sees all odd columns of pixels and the passenger all even columns of pixels. The drivers image is, therefore, displayed on all odd columns of pixels and the passenger image on all even columns of pixels. The parallax barrier obscures the driver's view of all even columns and the passenger's view of all odd columns such that only the intended image is visible from each side.
Paddles aren't for feeling sporty. They are for manually downshifting if you're carrying a trailer and need more engine braking etc on downhill grades.
Not sure if someone’s mentioned it, but I have a Range Rover and you can just leave the off-road systems in “auto” and it will sort everything out. No need to select your type of terrain 👍
I sold my low mileage used 2018 Vogue Hybrid after just a few months of ownership, i was not a fan of the clonky gearbox at low speeds twice while making a three point turn my car wouldnt change from Drive to reverse, forcing me to switch off and start the car again .. i also prefer the size of the L322 previous gen model.. think i will look at the new shape G wagon next , another great video guys
Incidentally the seat button on the side of the front passenger seat is for the rear passenger to move the seat forward for more leg room, it is load sensitive, so if someone is sat in it it won't move. Also the child lock button for the rear windows also locks out heated seats and rear seat tilt etc etc.
Your big 22 inch low profile tyres will add a lot of road noise. As for driving, flick it into sport and it changes big time. Less roll and more feel to the steering. I love my 4.4tdv8. Once driven, nothing else compares really😎😎
@@jufeladriatico3137 Good for you! You are a very lucky man! I hope that P38 continues like this for many more years. Bien por usted! Es usted un hombre muy afortunado! Espero que ese P38 siga así muchos años más.
Great video guys, a proper warts and all review, exactly what a car review should be....all other utube car reviewers please take note and watch the Car Guys... not a drag race in sight..👍
Had an RR Autobiography. Everything they say here is true. I would add that it is NOT a daily commuter. Will cost an arm and leg to keep running right at anything more that 8K-10K per year. Timing belts went out on me and entire engine needed to be replaced....at over $40G! Weekend jaunts with family...YES! Daily commuter to and from work....NO!
It’s a 2.5 Ton behemoth that’s nearly as quick as a Golf Gti... it needs the paddles even just to drop it into 1st gear at Junctios/Roundabouts when you need to get off the mark sharpish! I use them for the quick singles in my Jag Xf which can be a bit slouchy off the line
Best or worst depends upon the owner, I’ve heard so many people complain of issues but when you find out how they treat the car you soon realise they have issues with everything not just cars let alone range rovers. The suspension issue is quite often down to the drive using it,for very short journeys and never allowing the system to replenish therefore the inevitable collapse fault becoming a regular visitor.. those same journeys don’t allow the engine or transmission to get up to any operating temperature, the interior never gets rid of all the condensations etc etc
I have come so close so many times to buying a Range. But the image along with the drive (a bit boring) has always stopped me. Currently in an A8 18 plate and loving it. Great work by the way guys. I watch reviews I wouldn’t watch if it wasn’t for you hosting. Slight flirting
What's your two's story? Business partners, family, life long friends, lovers, all of the above or something different. I can't imagine how two people could "Share" a collection. Serious question.. I can't be the only one wondering your back story. Have been subscribed since nearly the beginning.. Stan C. From Fort Wayne, Indiana USA!
If you’re really worried about problems, buy a 3 year old one, about £50k cheaper than new, and take extended warranty from LR. £700 a year, if you have one serious issue, it will pay for itself. Which is £2 a day. Less than the price of a coffee. I had a RRS 5.0 Supercharged, never had a single problem in 4 years, bought it when it was 4 year old.
The button on the side of the seat is for the rear passenger to slide the seat forward if they require more room. You are operating the door catch the wrong way around, that’s why there is a large hole to put your fingers through, no more broken nails.
The gear selector is the same as what was in my Old Jaguar XFR. If I remember it correct it also had the silly head rest adjust….. on the head rest. I’m revisiting this fantastic honest video because the Mrs is looking at an upgrade & the Daughter is nagging Me constantly with her wanting to keep up with all her school friends parents in the old Car Park motor show, that runs every day at Her School. Whìte with a Cream interior seems to be her current fascination. Not bothered with looking for anybody else’s view, straight to The Car Guys…..
Love the review and yes l definately want one though not anytime soon - got to pay the mortgage off first so my 20 yo Volvo estate will have to keep going. The Rangie is a real class act. The Rolls and Bentley 4x4's are so 'look at me' that they only get brought by knobs - thats rich knobs of course.
Well, Car Guys, what can I say! First time I've ever watched you and your relaxed and unpretentious manner was totally refreshing! I subscribed to your channel after only a couple of minutes of watching your video - looking forward to seeing what else you have reviewed. I've been so fed up of intros saying things like, 'What's going on?', or 'What are you all up to today guys!?'. It drives me mad - I'd rather listen to you review a Kia Picanto than some of the drivel out there lol. Keep it up! (-:
Excellent video. However, a small correction - the car won't 'conk out' at 900mm rather the rear end will begin to float. Same as the Discovery 3/4 at 750mm. The air intake is much higher than the max wade depths. Carry on.
Great review !! Thoough for such a brand to have this unreliability issue always questionned is a pity, I experienced it first hand and unforunately (non stop issues with modules, ecu etc) I wont return to the brand anytime soon :(
0:52 wow cool, I was born in 1970 same year the Range Rover was "born". I've only ever had a few lifts in a Range Rover Sport 2012 model and it was a really good experience especially as a nice lady was driving.
Great review Damian and Jason. I like the spec your testing. It’s a class act. I’m still going to have one (the V8 diesel is the most practical and affordable version). Enjoyed this video.
I don’t like the black rims and the black chromed bits. For me the Range Rover looks great with aluminum wheels and the chrome grill and accents. It looks elegant.
I have always loved the boldness of the range rover. The newer models like the Evoque and Velar seem rather silly to me. Range Rover should be huge, muscular off-roaders! As much as I love them, I'm not sure I'd pick one over a Bentley or roller...
enjoyed your report I bought a three year old 3 litre V6 Autobiography in Gold? Black. Three years on really pleased only problem the auto opening rear doors. Now 83000Km love this car PS I am ex BL tech App from the 60s my other car V12 XJS so loyal to my British heritage down here in New Zealand
Have a RR Sport, was Land rover approved. So far air compressor, front wish bones and bushes and now steering wrap has gone. No bs just speaking the truth.
Just had this as a rental in Scotland and have to say interiour and looks are nice, driving in Dynamic not too bad, but what really was a turn off is the size, especially how wide it is. It often needs your full concentration when traffic is coming your way etc. That makes it much less comfortable imo.
If you don't want one you probably haven't driven it. Best and most practical family car you can buy. It is way better with 21" wheels, the 22" have a lot of road noise and ruin the drive.
Yeah, they're fantastic for luxury combined with off-road ability - but they are ridiculously unreliable and horrific to repair. Buy one - if you've got money to burn (literally!)...
Having owned a new one for the last 25 months and 70,000 miles and Land Rovers in general for the last 300,000 miles, I don’t recognise this well worn unreliability cliche.
The best 4x4. I'll always have one in my garage (got a green V8 currently). It does everything. Mine even goes across fields most weeks and earns it keep.
I beg to differ, awesome trouble free trucks, maybe it’s how we drive, I kind of baby mine, No heavy revs, allow the gears to shift in quiet succession and she drives like a dream.
I owned a Discovery. My favorite car I ever owned, but I would never own it out of warranty. Range Rovers just have a feel that is hard to explain to someone that has never owned them. I've not been a fan of the Range Rover in recent years though.
I ran 21” rims on mine and changed them for 20” rims and the difference in ride quality was astonishing. Fortunately, I’ve never had to experience 22” rims on one. The 21” rims and above come with wider tyres and make them terribly vulnerable to tramlining in motorway lorry ruts too,

They are not, and that is the point. Good grief, this guy has splashed out for cars way beyond the norm for a rich guy and HE’s not convinced! :-)
Humor my good man. This channel has it and you should try it. Relax, it is only TH-cam.
At 6.22 " there is one downside to owning Range Rovers". Main dealerships ! 😡
How come Pal?🤷🏿♂️✊🏿👋🏿
Good to hear
Uninformed comments on reliability are one of the few downsides of owning a Range Rover
Why d you get rid of it? Wat happened?
Awesome review as usual! I have a 2018 RR Sport Supercharged. Love the engine, fit and finish but the software issues are horrendous. It’s hard to believe a $100k SUV can have such issues.
Keep the videos coming they’re really enjoyable!
Gurjeevan Ghuman That’s brutal. That issue shouldn’t happen to any vehicle let alone a RR. Good luck!
Love it and loved the video.. keep it up.
😂😂😂👍👍👍
You’re a true car guy!
I’ve owned a RR 3D for the last 3 years done 53k miles no issues thank god. Only issue is the dealerships are rubbish ! When dealing with RR dealerships it’s like having your teeth pulled with out anaesthetic !
Agreed
Find a good local Landy Indie dealer, they will save you thousands. Doesn't matter if it's a Mark 1 or a Rangey just out of warranty.
One of your best reviews so far. Love the humour and Damian dropping the s-word that went unnoticed by the censor! Also when Jason said that the Range Rover is the working man's Rolls Royce who made it, I always felt that a Jaguar was the working man's Bentley.
Thanks, Alex
That's the version I'd have (keep the "sunroof") : 4 litre diesel engine in the colour here - so good, I'll have little trouble parting with little over £100k for it.
What a way to promote British Motoring history - once again, another excellent review!.
Thank you very much, Anthony - appreciate those comments.
Just purchased the 2018 facelift model. Black grill ordered and black badges being fitted next week. Sorry 🤣. In my defence…. I’m a 42 year old and my wife said the chrome makes me look like I’m driving my Dads car.
Great review!
I’m exactly the same. Black grill and badges fitted 😂. I’m 43 and my wife said the exact same thing re my Dad 😂
Just be sure to buy a used approved Range Rover with a warranty!
from CARMAX like dougy
As of September 1st this year, Land Rover halved their Approved Used warranty period down to 1 year only. LR doesn't even have faith in their own products anymore. (I own a 2016 D4 myself).
A 1 year used warranty brings them into line with most of their competitors. BMW, for instance, have had 1 year warranties on their used cars for years. Would you say that that’s because they have “no faith in their own product” either?
A few points:
I went for the Cayenne turbo because, i found the cabin is more cosy than the Range Rover.. but next time i will try it.
Thanks Damian. This and the “angry” video about dealing with your Porsche dealership are my faves.
Thanks for watching
Perfect addition to a Garage full of Sports and Supercars ! I have had 7 of them (all 4 generations) as a daily driver since 1990 .... and its the ideal daily to complement the toys.

How bad was your P38?
@@raph_csg I had two, and both were great ! Other than regular maintenance, they were pretty much trouble free. Granted, I bought them both brand new and owned each for 2 - 3 years ......

I love the spec on this Range Rover especially the wheels.
YOU GUYS CRACK ME UP SOME OF THE BEST LINES YET GREAT WORK GUYS LOVE IT
😂😂😂
Guys its clear to see you have not used a Range rover before in the countryside or for country life, for crossing a river = just raise the car up using the suspension ( and also great for attaching a trailer thats too heavy to lift by hand our when you want it to stay level). Black alloys etc is for drug dealers ( new money), 22s are too big, 19s work a lot better and give a better ride, The Paddle shifters etc are for when you want more control off road or are towing something really heavy say a 10 tonnes etc and you want more control over the gearing so you always have the power when you need it (ive used them for that). Hope this clears things up.
You’re right, we’ve never tried pulling ten tonnes with a Range Rover
Chaps, I was prepared to diss. And I may have posted a short array of cheeky ripostes to other viewers. But listening a little more intently to your comments, you've hit the national view of the vehicle perfectly. Great video and incisive and witty review.

Bendy rulers! “Shatterproof” if I recall correctly. Jesus, that takes me back.
YES the kids I was at school with would still attempt to "shatter" the ruler. Ending up with some useless bloody ZIG-ZAG monstrosity.
I have a 2015 Land Rover Range Rover Supercharged purchased new and enjoy it so much I’ll keep it for at least 10 years. Wonderful vehicle!

I love Range Rovers. Always have. The Cullinan is absolutely hideous.
Every car manufacturer needs to employ you two. Every car you drive, you rip to bits, awesome!!! Keep it up 😀

Sandeep Unni why not autobiography I love all the tech on mine example fridge x3 tv’s 😎
Compared to the Rolls Royce and the Bentley this is the sensible solution. I also would go for a Range Rover. Such a superb vehicle!
We agree - thanks for watching
You were also commenting on the confusion with the sand gravel and various all terrain modes. Just leave it in auto, the Rangie will adjust itself accordingly, hence auto! I am on my second one of these, tremendous vehicles, just all you will ever need......go anywhere luxury!
Yes, later in the episode we address this
I recently owned a 2017 Range Rover sport autobiography 5.0 v8 a £93,000 car new that come with factory fitted extras by Land Rover (upgrade sound system, head up display & full panoramic sunroof) after a short time a piece of rubber jammed in the panoramic sunroof so as car was under Land Rover warranty I took it to a main dealership (Stockton-on-Tees) and was told the full roof would need replacing.
Sad story
So close to the worlds best car but let down by so many stupid idiosyncratic issues and cheap skate management combined with horrific dealers.
The middle movement of Mozart's 21st piano concerto (used in this video) is in my opinion, the most beautiful piece of music ever created.
Paddles aren't for feeling sporty. They are for manually downshifting if you're carrying a trailer and need more engine braking etc on downhill grades.
So it would seem. We don’t read manuals... 😂
I had one of these. Kept it at the dealership for all 3 years and would go visit it via taxi.
Oh dear :(
If only a few Honda and Toyota mechanics and engineers would help out Land Rover with it's reliability we'd have a monster of a vehicle ...
Agreed
Not sure if someone’s mentioned it, but I have a Range Rover and you can just leave the off-road systems in “auto” and it will sort everything out. No need to select your type of terrain 👍
Yes, if you watched the episode to the end, you’ll notice we covered that... busted!
Thanks, Rob, glad you enjoyed it
Incidentally the seat button on the side of the front passenger seat is for the rear passenger to move the seat forward for more leg room, it is load sensitive, so if someone is sat in it it won't move.
Also the child lock button for the rear windows also locks out heated seats and rear seat tilt etc etc.
Your big 22 inch low profile tyres will add a lot of road noise.
As for driving, flick it into sport and it changes big time. Less roll and more feel to the steering.

All true
When they come to Kenya they Automatically destroy the air suspension dont understand why.
Wtf?
Lovely to shaft along in, relaxed comfort 👍
The Mozart intro - lovely!
Such an awesome vehicle . An engineering tour-de-force
which has a dreadful reliability reputation
It’s a 2.5 Ton behemoth that’s nearly as quick as a Golf Gti... it needs the paddles even just to drop it into 1st gear at Junctios/Roundabouts when you need to get off the mark sharpish! I use them for the quick singles in my Jag Xf which can be a bit slouchy off the line
In sport mode I can hold the gear with the paddles on my evoque, which is great towing a heavy caravan down hill does RR have sport mode?
The paddles are for off road use, so you can hold gears, also useful when towing 👍

Back story was covered in one of the Q&A episodes, my friend
If you’re really worried about problems, buy a 3 year old one, about £50k cheaper than new, and take extended warranty from LR. £700 a year, if you have one serious issue, it will pay for itself. Which is £2 a day. Less than the price of a coffee. I had a RRS 5.0 Supercharged, never had a single problem in 4 years, bought it when it was 4 year old.
Good tips
I Really, Really, enjoyed this Vlog. I also find that I prefer the Gen 3. It looks more like a range rover, at least the way I remember them.
Glad you liked it 👍
The button on the side of the seat is for the rear passenger to slide the seat forward if they require more room. You are operating the door catch the wrong way around, that’s why there is a large hole to put your fingers through, no more broken nails.
That may be true , but it still means little people can move the seat at will which is v annoying. Hence the point.
Thank you for your kind words, Eleanor 👍
Absolutely gorgeous car!
Welcome aboard!
I am liking this video. I have always been a fan of the Range Rover.
Thanks

They need parts regularly given the weight and tech but rarely actually break down.
Great entertaining review. Yes i will get this very model soon. Looking online at them today. Any bargains let me know.
I think the paddles are more for the offroad side (to stop the car from going up a gear)
Apparently so, yes
Just had this as a rental in Scotland and have to say interiour and looks are nice, driving in Dynamic not too bad, but what really was a turn off is the size, especially how wide it is. It often needs your full concentration when traffic is coming your way etc. That makes it much less comfortable imo.
If you don't want one you probably haven't driven it. Best and most practical family car you can buy. It is way better with 21" wheels, the 22" have a lot of road noise and ruin the drive.
I once had a lift in a RR Sport and couldnt believe how little room there was in it for such a big vehicle!?!?
Black and cream interior, classy spec 👌
Yeah, they're fantastic for luxury combined with off-road ability - but they are ridiculously unreliable and horrific to repair.

Or just get the extended warranty.

I owned a Discovery. My favorite car I ever owned, but I would never own it out of warranty. Range Rovers just have a feel that is hard to explain to someone that has never owned them. I've not been a fan of the Range Rover in recent years though.
Excellent and informative video, warts and all. Re. those 22" wheels, how did they affect the ride and would smaller wheels improve things, or not?
I don’t think the different would be huge on such a large vehicle
I ran 21” rims on mine and changed them for 20” rims and the difference in ride quality was astonishing. Fortunately, I’ve never had to experience 22” rims on one.
The 21” rims and above come with wider tyres and make them terribly vulnerable to tramlining in motorway lorry ruts too,
Nice easy review - highlights pros and cons - and I suppose compared to Bentleys, good value
