Fiesta Texas was my home park when I lived in Texas, and I was pleasantly surprised that you ranked it #1. For many years it was more notable for its shows than its ride lineup, but in recent years it has finally begun to realize its potential. It's a truly unique park that I always enjoyed.
Over Texas looks like such an underrated park to me, they have an extremely deep and underrated coaster lineup, a great non coaster lineup, and I love the way the park looks and all of the Texas stuff
I like everything about the park except for the Gotham City section. It looks like a permanent carnival to me, especially after they added Joker and Riddler.
The more I visit Sea World parks, the more I appreciate the operations at Over Texas. Giant can be frustrating, since they don't run all 3 trains any more and they usually only have 2 restraint checkers, but I understand that those trains are hard to load quickly. Every other major coaster always runs 2 trains unless they're actually refurbishing one, and ops typically make an effort to be efficient. I've also seen the maintenance staff make some pretty heroic efforts to get Mr Freeze up and running super quickly after a breakdown, which is an unfortunately frequent occurrence.
It seems like they would have redone Freeze’s launch by now with modern LSMs, and even move the second set to the valley instead of the spike. I guess money doesn’t grow on trees.
@@cody_t They'd have to buy new trains for that. Instead, they salvaged one of the old trains from The Chiller, so that they can have a spare, 3rd train. That's partly how they've been able to avoid 1 train ops on Freeze. It would also be a shame if they got rid of the LIMs on the spike, as they contribute to the really unique forces on that spike. It would be nice if there was an emergency set of motors in the valleys, so that the train could self-rescue (can't do that with the current trains), though I can't ever remember seeing or hearing of Freeze valleying. I think they avoid that by launching the ride a bit faster than the designers intended.
@@cody_t I guess I'm just good at avoiding it on those days, then! A retrofit to LSMs and new trains must be really expensive, since Six Flags is willing to put up with such a high maintenance ride. That said, it could happen under the new management.
