If you want a low cost method of finding out if someone is following you just find a nice large roundabout and just keep going round and round and round. For fun watch their face in the rear view when you miss the final exit before the one you entered on! By the time you complete the second circuit they will almost certainly be gone. If they are not you may be in trouble... Find the nearest Police station and park right outside the front door!
This does not defeat GPS tracking. Someone with your location can just show up at leisure and not pass through the choke points. You need to add stationary intermediate stops and correlate who shows up through the choke point attacker would have to pass through to get to your stop. You would need to dwell at each stop so the attacker is tempted to show up and see what you are doing there.
