Before upgrade, make sure that your graphic chip is Nvidia not Intel. i7 does not come with integrated video controller. Nvidia video controller is optional in E6410 laptop. Many E6410 came with integrated video controller so that those could not be upgraded to the i7 720xM.
I have E6410 with i7 720QM quad core and 90 watt power supply. Everything works perfect with zero problems. My i7 is turbo boosting to 2.9 ghz on 1 core and works at 933 mhz on idle :) I have video with it. Cheers!

I put a 740 q in mine and it no longer wants to stay on, gets too hot and auto shuts off.
that's right, 740 is very hot, 720 is the best
@@edric1798 so I put thermal paste over the GPU. Then followed another comment and put a penny ontop of the gpu, then more thermal paste. Now the pc runs at 65c and can play left for dead!!
@@Cringe_Anarchy It is optimal to use i5-580m, i7-640m processors for upgrading a laptop. Quad core i7 processors are not very suitable for this laptop.

Dòng Qm phải có vga mới chạy, máy bạn k có vga rời thì k dùng đc, chỉ dùng được cpu M thôi

My E6410 have i7-840 with 16 SIXTEEN GB of RAM @ real 1333MHz (you can use 16 GB @ 1333 also with CPU (and latest A17 BIOS)

si tienes la GPU Nvidia, actualiza la BIOS a la última A17, cambia la CPU por una no doble que ya tienes (también con gráfica Intel integrada), más lenta y limitada, con aquellas de 10 Watts más (de 45W), almohadilla térmica de cobre para la Nvidia y buena pasta térmica para la CPU, de lo contrario si no tienes la GPU Nvidia NO PUEDES hacer el cambio a aquellas CPU sin Intel Graphics, que no soportan ni 1333 MHz ni 16 GB en total.

Mình dùng laptop dell e6410 đang dùng cpu i5-560m mình mua cpu i7-740qm lắp vào laptop đc 5 phút là sập là sao ạ. Đã bôi keo tản nhiệt đầy đủ ạ

Bộ xử lý i7-740qm không có card đồ họa tích hợp. Nếu máy tính xách tay không có card Radeon/Nvidia rời thì bộ xử lý này sẽ không hoạt động. Bộ xử lý i5-560m có HD Graphics
