All the artists I’ve met (myself included) are either neurotically neat or absolute slobs. Giving the artsy mom the slob trait is 100% realistic and inoffensive!

I could imagine the dad being a police officer. I don’t know why but in his free time he likes to do woodworking and cooking! And the mom could definitely be a bit of a slob since she’s an artist. Paint cans everywhere lol!

Something I have in my own personal save is a high school band! One of the houses I built has a garage, and I put a little band set up in it, and then the teen that lives in the house is a leader of a club with other teens that make up the band. Your comments about the treehouse club just made me think of that 😂

There’s so much character in this home, I LOVE IT. I wish I’d had a treehouse as a kid, I bet it’s the talk of the neighbourhood and all the kids living close by are jealous and beg to play there! I feel like the dad could own his own small restaurant, and they’d probably (stereotypically!) be a vegetarian family so his menu would be a niche little vegan place his wife and kids painted and decorated with him?

You should put some of the mom’s paintings up around the house after she finishes them.
This house really reminds me of my parents' house. It's always messy but not dirty, unusual colours on the walls, a mish-mash of furniture, paintings piled up everywhere, very green garden with nooks everywhere.. Love it!

I've been watching A TON of your build videos lately, and I have yet to find a build that I haven't Liked! OMG, YOU ARE AMAZING! I've saved at least 10 of your builds to use in my game in the future! You are soooo talented at building and can we just take a moment to appreciate that tree house ahhhh I LOVE IT!
I think the dad could work in an office. He hates his job but his parents could always say that he *needs* to work there because they don’t agree with his hippie wife choice. And when he gets home he loves it because he can express him self with cooking up at storm in the kitchen and making his children happy e.g. building a tree house

I love all the personality and character you've put into this build. I could see the dad in the culinary career, but if that's the direction you go I would make the mom the slob then since I think if he's passionate about cooking he would be careful about hygiene. The mom could be chaotic and slobbish because she's just so involved in painting and creating that she doesn't see the mess she leaves behind. The son living in the basement maybe hasn't found his passion and his parents didn't push school/academic achievements as much because they're such creative people. Maybe he's more into gaming and just live streams in his basement to help pay rent? You might consider one or both twins are opposite of their family and is more involved in school and are neat and tidy sims.

You should make a home for a family that sort of shuts themselves from the world. Like they don’t let there kids go out unless it’s for school. And they like to keep to themselves.
I love how you put the Get Together closets all around! It is like a linen closet or storage, I really like that! I personally don't mind the long videos. Such an awesome build
Maybe the girl next door with the single mom can be in the rival club? I can imagine her being the leader since you said she’s very outgoing and likes to accomplish a lot and meeting up with the rest of her crew at her house to spy on and prank the boys. Maybe throw water balloons at their treehouse or something haha! Lovely as always🖤🖤🖤🖤

I’m just so obsessed with this build. I keep rewatching it! I just love that the house has such a personality with it not being the cleanest. There’s always gonna be a little mess somewhere with little kids in the house. I just absolutely love it and would LOVE to see more like this!
I love this! Honestly reminded me of my grandmother. She was a hippy, and is still a flower child at heart. She has a tree house and an outdoor shower, which I always found so beautiful.
That's exactly what my house looks like, so much clutter with 4 brothers, my Mom and I are the neat and organized ones and my Brothers and Dad don't really care about being organized! I think the Dad should be the "slob"!

I think the dad should be a huge activities. He's super big into protesting against violence and animal cruelty. He's all about world peace and loves volunteering and helping people. He makes furniture for people who are in need and can't afford it, and he cooks in a cantina for the needy. It would be amazing to see a sim like that. Love your builds...

Wow, I can't wait to see what is going to happen with this home. It has so much character.. The mom can go into an art career, the dad can go into a culinary career, and they can have some kids. Looks really nice:)!

I feel like it has been forever and a day since I watched a video of yours! With all of the grad school craziness! I really stopped watching any youtube which makes me sad, BUT one of my New Years goals is to support my online friends more. This build was amazing and I'm always astounded by how much meaning you put behind every single detail! (and how you remeber to talk about it in the speed build, I always just end up going off on the weirdest tangents instead lol) I was building as I watched (or mostly listened lol gotta lite that multitasking life in grad school) and right when you were talking about the shelf trick I was doing it myself! 😂

I ADORE this build! I can't wait for the save file, because every build of your's is gorgeous. Right now I use Simsie's, and I love it, but your attention to detail surpasses her's. Cramped and cluttery builds are SO nice and perfect for me!
i love this build sm & i love how you made the family bc i can actually relate. my moms a chef (personal chef/ caterer amongst other things) and my dads an artist (graphic designer) but theyre both entrepreneurs. so thats why i love this build so much. thanks for sharing your creativity!

i love this build! also, i think you should put community lots on that strip of lots in newcrest instead of houses. if you filled up all those lots with houses, i think there would be too many resident builds and not enough community lots.💓
The water front is going to be community lots, I might make one in the strip a community lot. But for the most part they will be homes 😊💜
I canNOT believe I'm just now finding your channel! You furnish with so much clutter and creativity, it blows my mind! Furnishing/landscaping is my favorite thing to do in the Sims and you are the first builder who has my same style. It makes your videos so entertaining to watch!

I think it would be fun if you make one of the kids a neat sim to be nothing like the parents and maybe they’re embarrassed by their carefree attitude and rarely invites their friends round out of fear that the mom will be painting or meditating naked or something else embarrassing lol

Omg I just love it! Your attention to detail is insurmountable! I especially love the basement bedroom, i can totally see the family having plans to renovate it but never getting around to it and their teenage kid has made it their own! Love!

How do you move the items up and down to put them on top of stuff??
I am not 100% sure but I think they do it with the "bb.moveobjects" cheatcode
bb.moveobjects then you can move the objects up using 9 & you can also move objects down using 0
They also use the red shelf, you can download it from in the description. I noticed it helps her get the right height for things, but i'm still trying to figure out exactly how to use it in that way. When I slide items off the red shelf they snap back to the floor. I'm still fiddling with it

The house is so “messy” because it’s a family with FOUR BOYS.
(five if you include dad, but it would be super funny if dad was a neat freak, and the other boys were super messy)
I feel like this household would be cute as a lesbian couple. I just think the lesbian couple with so many boys is such a cute idea and I also think the low key hippie vibe works well with a lesbian couple and i think it would be cute that all the boys are kind of embarrassed of their moms but since they where raised by hippies they have lots of ❤️

I have been playing the sims since the sims 2 but I have never really been good at building unless I'm looking at a house I want to copy. I love your builds. I don't have all the packs so it's actually pretty fun having to tweak and replace things when I download them into my game.

I loved the dark woods and greens in the build! It’s so different from the style you tend to do and it’s also the style I tend to use when I decorate.
I also liked the idea of the little rascals style rivalry clubs between the boys and girls.
I cannot explain how much I love this treehouse, it's the best thing I have ever seen!! Could you put it in the library as a seperate thing please please pleaseee. I want to have it in every sim's house
I know this video is realllly old but I just absolutely love this build. Especially because it has such a Dutch looking architecture and I’m Dutch myself.

I love this house so much! The household reminds me of one of the families in Desperate Housewives, they had a lot of boys even two of them where twins and there was always something going on, kids running and stuff.

Maybe they're not dried herbs? Maybe the mom, or the dad, like to save the flowers they have gotten, to remember the occasion, or make dried arrangements out of garden flowers? You knew what you were doing.😊😊
This house is really a breath of fresh air! I always go crazy with colors, and I love that Granny bed. Then again, I am a granny....but I've loved quilts since I was a young 'un.
Since it seems to have a non-traditional vibe, maybe the dad loves quilts, and even makes them. He might work at home, doing programming or something to pay the bills, but loves to sneak off and garden, cook, quilt, and get up to shenanigans with the boys. The mom was a bit of a tomboy in her younger days. Now she works in an adventurous job like astronaut, secret agent, or archaeologist, and unwinds at home by painting. Surrealism is her fave style....in my head, haha.
I think this might be my favorite build you've done so far!! I love family homes like this so much, and you always do such an amazing job. I also love all the different colors in the house, and I hope you do future builds like this!
