Vitrina scene 17: Gender discrimination and job interviews

In this scene, a panel composed of three men interviews a female candidate for the position of secretary. The questions were orienting her to be “enslaved” to the company and to the personal needs of men holding superior positions. We see the female candidate confused and afraid. Sexual harassment is considered a form of gender discrimination based on the nature of the conduct, which typically arises from an individual’s gender. Unfortunately, some employers take advantage of an applicant’s position during the hiring process to make inappropriate comments or even sexual propositions to job candidates, putting them in difficult situations. This creates obstacles for women & LGBTQI++ persons to access the job market.
