I actually met a lady in an East Vancouver doctor's office waiting room in 1986 who went to Spahn ranch in 1969 with her friend and their kids. They stayed a few days but snuck out in the early morning a week later, because the vibes there were so unreal and it felt seriously dangerous. They thought the weird worship of Charles Manson and his females groupies was disturbing. Three months later, their fears were validated. They realized how lucky they were to get out in time.

Been watching you for a few years now. One of the things that keeps me coming back is, you're always making videos on subjects not the typical person on TH-cam is doing.
My uncle used to tell me about how, he and his friends used to visit Spahn Ranch years before the Manson Family started living there.

You are correct, the Spahn Ranch will forever be known as the place that spawned the Manson Family Murders. I was 15 in 1970 and we moved to Simi Valley and drove through the S.S. Pass many times, I didn't know that was the place where the Manson Family lived. It's still one of the coolest places in the L.A. area , many westerns were filmed there since it still looks like the old west in many places.

There is such a backstory around the whole Manson story and the counterculture of the 60s. Read a book called Chaos by Tom O'Neill or just watch the interview of him by Joe Rogan. It will change everything that you thought you knew about the whole Manson Saga.

Supposedly, George Spahn, at an elderly age, was healthy enought, or lucky enought,, to "get it up." .Squeaky's job was to get George "limp" so he could rest and watch television. Jusr horsing around one might say.

There is not such thing as a fact, what I mean is that often historical records often paint a biased view of something and it was often not quite what was written. That's the long way of saying I agree, your own research will always be better than someone else's point of view.

The Manson case is very interesting (for Me anyway) - There are lots of aspects to it. Somehow, I stumbled on a Charlie Manson video this past summer & since I have watched a ton of them. I guess I had seen the original movie years ago but I never really knew much about "The Case". It's too bad about all the murders - just a terrible waste of life (for both the victims & the Manson Family members that were involved)...

The Manson murders where the crime of the century at that time The amount of sensationalism and media coverage was extreme and so of course the facts and story it self can not help but to be distorted beyond recognition . Pick the Manson story you like and chose your own truths . I sort of feel sad for old George and the spotlight he was thrown under .

Charles Manson was a kook just like The guy that killed Lennon or the guy that killed MLK and all the others . My belief is the less we talk about them the more these unfortunates of society will be completely forgotten, their names not worth mentioning except to history buffs or knowledge seekers of the occult. Michael, you do a fine job and the way you categorize what you say before you say it is really brilliant. Even if some of the stuff you decide to lecture on is unpopular, you make sure it is interesting. Thank you, Keep up the good work . Paul

Again, another well done, respectful video! The Manson case was one of the few cases that I researched in college and it always sort of aggravated me that George Spahn was only remembered for his connection to the Family. Yes, he was a bit misogynist and money was a driving point in his life, but he was just as much a victim of the Family. They used him for his resources and there is no doubt in my mind that they would have done away with him eventually if they hadn't been apprehended.
It's sad that his surviving family has to repeatedly be reminded of his one mistake: being too trusting.
