Undoubtedly, but , definitely , SKF ( Svenska Kullagerfabriken ) , from Sweden , is the second Bearing Manufacturer in the history of mankind, but , on the contrary, the BEST .
Motor oil and transmission fluid are two of the common substances used to quench blades and such, but you are correct about their giving off nasty fumes, which is why they should be used in a well ventilated area. I did a little digging about *oils* used for quenching and learned the following are commonly used to quench blades and such, but since they only listed what they were, I added what extra I knew: Motor oil, new or used. (toxic fumes, use in a ventilatred area) Transmission fluid (ATF), new or used. (toxic fumes, use in a ventilatred area) Canola oil. (from what I found, this one doesn't work so well, not sure why) Peanut oil. Other vegetable oils like avocado, etc. Mineral oil. Commercial quenching oils like Parks 50 or Chevron 70. Mixes of any of the above.
@@MadeInMichigan no problem, the "fun" issue with motor oil is how some is synthetic, semi-synthetic, mineral and so on. I don't know enough about the synthetic stuff to give full facts, but I'm pretty sure all of them give off nasty fumes when vaporised (when quenching for example), be it natural oil derivatives like benzine, or detergents in the mix...
I think it insane how you not only made a beautiful blade he managed to edit the footage down to 14 minutes, truly amazing!

Ballbearing = Best steel for Fixed blades!!!
Wow, the bearing was that big.
Waw, Crocodile Dundee knife.

Where are you from
Super tare!
Watching something go from an ugly piece of steel to a nice blade well worth it
Do you sell these and how much do charge for these
i always quenching in motor oil was bad. even if it's fresh, there's still lots of crap they put in it.

@@GaisaSanktejo Yeah, I'm not sure where I heard that. Probably on one of these tubes or a forum or something.
Thanks for the clarification.

That poor belt is on its last leg.
Makes me waant to send him a box full of sandpaper. Seeing those fine scratches still on the polished blade made me sad.
👍!!!
😊😊😊
I use petrol to quench the stainless steel blade
Es un cuchillo? Una espada debería ser más larga?
Looks like it’s time to change your sanding belts. ..js
I don't know why they need 6 hours in Forged In Fire to make a knife. This guy need 14:27 only!
funny, I worked on this knife for 3 days. 🙂
❤💪
Well its great but I don't think its a blade moreover a dagger
.............Insane..............🤨🤨🤨
Big knife....not big sword ....!
Good to look at. But second rate polish. And not sharp
Ball bearing, not the steel holding the bearings make great knife steel! The polish job was horrible, scratched the whole way down
The berings and the bering races are made of the same steel.
