Been using a similar setup for years. Same stove too. My pot has the heat exchanger though. I use a collapsible silicone Sea to Summit cup/bowl, + folding utensils & a titanium mug. Slightly heavier, but allows me to bake in the pot. Great overview.
I have had one of these for about 10 years and it is absolutely one of the best things I have ever purchased. The pour spout and fry pan lid are perfect.
Thanks for taking the time to make a review, it was great! I was debating between the soloist and this stove myself, but you have helped me decide. This stove it is.
I`ve made exactly the same set as you have before :D The only thing that I`ve used different was the Fold-A-Cup Wildo bowl 600 ml :) Which I recommend :) It improves the set :)
What an ingenious set up! I really appreciate the fact you incorporated all of your cooking needs in the kit ((minus the spork, perhaps you might try the CRKT Eat'N'Tool)) Additionally, and this is me just looking to optimize space but you could add more items like firestarters ((matches, faro rod, things of the sort)) I really like the mess kit and thank you for showing it to me. If you don't mind me asking ((maybe I just missed it in the video)) Where did you get it and what was the price point? Thanks in advance -Noble
It is made of hardware cloth (a.k.a. rat wire, chicken wire). This site has instructions on how to make it yourself: thesodacanstove(dot)com/pot-support/

Thanks for the good review and demonstration. I already made the stove myself and the pot arrives next week :) Cheers

The write-up states..."This lightweight saucepan-kettle hybrid is made of hard-anodized aluminum with a titanium coating"
