Some days it’s a yes and other days it’s a no. Don’t want to reduce my social activities like Line Dancing which I do 2-3 times a week plus socializing with new friends and babysitting grandkids. Not to mention organizing and downsizing my stuff. Will let you know if I do decide to start one if that’s ok with you. I live in Victoria on Vancouver Island in Canada and love it here.

Hi Tina, I am just looking back at one of your previous videos. I hope you don’t mind me commenting on your income from TH-cam. I have stated following Ali lives well on Less. She is a Scottish lady who lives on a small teacher’s pension and each month tells us the amount she receives from You Tube. In December 2024, her income was £900 which is amazing. She gives most of it away to local charities. She is definitely worth watching. Many thanks
I average about £300~£400 a month which supplements my pension. I do however have a few subscriptions to pay out of that for editing and music which is around £26 a month. She has done really well. I have just watched her latest video and it is very interesting. Different types of videos attract different payments from Adsense. I don’t really understand it but just trust what they say. It’s also depends on how many videos you create and how long they are and how long people view them for. It’s all very complicated. She is doing really well. I noticed one of her videos got 45000 views which would really have boosted her income.
Just keep being who you are and how you are Tina. I appreciate your genuineness. Your confidence with the technical side will continue to build as you do more. Just carry on as you have been. Thanks 👏👍🏻❣

One is Caroline ((Mrs M) who puts out 2 videos a week with a weekly chat and lots of hauls.The other one is Carla Jenkins who puts out lots of different videos such as car boot sales, shopping hauls and a bit about her struggles with weight. If you look at skill share, they do courses on editing, thumbnails etc and I’m sure you get a free months trial. The courses are only a few hours so within a month you can learn lots . This is an interesting subject, I personally don’t talk about what I earn just because I feel like it’s not something I’d discuss about any other job, so it feels a bit weird to do it about YT. I also find I’m asked a lot more ( only yesterday a friend asked me point blank how much I earn from it, which I find a bit uncomfortable, I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t have asked what I earned if I was a nurse or secretary or whatever). I think as well that there is SO MUCH judgement out there for TH-camrs in general , that it feels like talking about what I earn would just feed that fire more.
Yes I know what you mean but I think a lot of people think youtubers earn a lot more than they do. For the time and effort put in it’s not a great reward. I think some people don’t realise how long it can take to put a video together. I think there is a website somewhere that gives details if anyone was that interested .I class it as a hobby but it is quickly becoming a part time job for the time and effort it takes. I do like it though and love watching everyone else’s videos. It’s up to the individual whether they want to say what remuneration they are getting and if they don’t want to it’s nobody else’s business. I would never dream of asking another youtuber how much they earn as to be truthful I am not really interested. I would imagine though that the very big youtubers with hundreds of thousands of followers do quite well . However they have probably worked really hard to get where they are and I am sure they deserve it.xx
I love your channel Tina and have from the beginning, also met from Caroline patreon….. you are lovely to watch, and thank you for being so open about income etc, it’s very interesting to learn about things like that. I would love to see a day in the life or a weekly vlog, or food shopping hauls…… but I understand it maybe too much work for you? I hope you go on to make a regular amount and that clothing companies send you vouchers to do hauls and then anything you don’t want to keep sell on with EBay or Vinted .

I started watching you not long after you started so nice to see how you've grown especially as you like me are not great on the technical side of things due to age I guess ...it's hard as everything moves so fast .. If you look at skill share, they do courses on editing, thumbnails etc and I’m sure you get a free months trial. The courses are only a few hours so within a month you can learn lots . @@BeingPennyB yes may be but I can’t see why. I suppose the big youtubers make pots of money and perhaps don’t want everyone to know. I think there is a page somewhere that shows what everyone has earned.
This is an interesting subject, I personally don’t talk about what I earn just because I feel like it’s not something I’d discuss about any other job, so it feels a bit weird to do it about YT. I also find I’m asked a lot more ( only yesterday a friend asked me point blank how much I earn from it, which I find a bit uncomfortable, I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t have asked what I earned if I was a nurse or secretary or whatever). I think as well that there is SO MUCH judgement out there for TH-camrs in general , that it feels like talking about what I earn would just feed that fire more.
Yes I know what you mean but I think a lot of people think youtubers earn a lot more than they do. For the time and effort put in it’s not a great reward. I think some people don’t realise how long it can take to put a video together. I think there is a website somewhere that gives details if anyone was that interested .I class it as a hobby but it is quickly becoming a part time job for the time and effort it takes. I do like it though and love watching everyone else’s videos. It’s up to the individual whether they want to say what remuneration they are getting and if they don’t want to it’s nobody else’s business. I would never dream of asking another youtuber how much they earn as to be truthful I am not really interested. I would imagine though that the very big youtubers with hundreds of thousands of followers do quite well . However they have probably worked really hard to get where they are and I am sure they deserve it.xx

@@tinastalktime true, they don't have the staff the local asda and tesco have not reopened their changing rooms post covid I won't buy any clothes if I can't try BTW I had covid twice this year (had all my jabs etc) each time after being at matalan?????

Never realised just how much time you have to put in editing it all together, if you feel like it maybe you could show us all some of the work you have to do just for curiousities sake I always thought it was just me who gets targeted with the adverts for funeral plans, cremations & all the sort of thing someone my age would need lol 😨
