Thank you so much for all the beautiful shots and videos you make of the many places you are blessed to go. I am basically bedridden and may never be able to go anywhere like this and to be able to see it through your channel means more to me than you will ever know. It would be my dream to go on a cruise and see the beautiful countryside. Thank you so much for sharing your journey with me and others! My health may restrict me from personally going but I can imagine it through your lens! 😊

We did that same excursion on Carnival maybe 10 years ago. Absolutely 100% worth it. Saw bears (momma with 3 cubs) on the shore, seals, lots of eagles - amazing

This is one of the things that really stands out in my mind about Alaska-that amazing blue color that you see in the ice! It is soooo pretty ❤ I really felt like I was on another planet with how insanely gorgeous Alaska was😊

I have to admit, I’m shedding a few tears remembering how stunningly beautiful everything was on our trip to Alaska. We saw Hubbard, and it was breathtaking. You were closer to this one than we were. I remember that we saw so many bald eagles that it became almost commonplace. Such beautiful weather on our trip too, at the end of June- first part of July. So many wonderful memories, made even more special because it was shared with family. ❤️

Glacier Bay is probably my #1 reason to doing Alaska a 2nd time -- that and the chance at seeing the Northern Lights. "Calving", the ice breaking off the glacier, is such an amazing sound. You are out there and you can nearly hear a pin drop. So cool and beautiful! I got one of those amazing eagle shots at Icy Strait Point.

This brings back such wonderful memories. We had a great time giving names to the various chunks of ice floating in the water...we had the sombrero, the jet ski, and the condo which had 6 otters on it! I hope you get to see whales and seals and sea lions.

10 thumb's up today Tony...WOW. We've done Glacier Bay twice, Hubbard (and again in September), Mendenhall, and Taku Glaciers but there's nothing like a small boat experience! The waterfall was spectacular and agreed, the bald eagle on the iceberg...double WOW.

That was awesome!! We went to the quantum of the seas last august and our glacier day was cancelled because one of the engines wasn’t working so we had a change in itinerary which resulted in Skagway and glaciers day being cancelled. We made up for it by doing a 5 glacier seaplane tour from Juneau which was spectacular. It was my favorite part of the entire vacation.

First trip to Alaska on a Princess Cruise, we went to the Fjord. Opened the curtains on our balcony then went outside and floating by was a iceberg . It and water were 3 different blues. The iceberg had a hole in it with a Bald Eagle on top. That was something I will never forget. It made the whole trip. I have that picture as a screen safer on my computer

Last year I cruised Alaska on the Discovery Princess, and it was too large to get up close to the Dawes Glacier. I learned my lesson, book a smaller ship for my next trip. Phenomenal vlog per usual Tony!💕🙌🏾
Fun fact: the naturalist onboard made a point to mention that the true color of glaciers and/or icebergs are best viewed w/overcast or rainy skies.🤷🏾‍♀️

Thank you for the beautiful video you shared. I want to add information about another excursion that is worth the money. My friends and I flew in a helicopter to the top of the glacier. We rode on a dogsled for about half an hour. Then the helicopter toured the surrounding area on the way back to base. It is incredible to see the glacier from the air.

Great video, Tony! Alaska never ceases to amaze. We’ve been numerous times and can’t get enough of it. Glad the weather is agreeable on this trip.
Insider tip for those who’ve never been. Bring a better pair of binoculars than are provided by the ship. An expensive pair of image-stabilizing binoculars are WELL worth the price over the fairly poor quality you’ll get on the ship. You can see so much more wildlife on shore and in the water with them and not get a headache while doing it.

We too, took the Tracy Arms Fjord journey! Yes, it was expensive, YES it was totally worth it. Our journey’s sights included a lot of large ice floes around the glacier with a lot, a lot, of seals, basking on them (it was not a sunny day, lol). The blue color of the ice (an unimaginably gorgeous shade of aqua blue) was so surprising, did not expect that!! The glacier did do some "calving" as well. We would do it again in a "heartbeat". If one did no other excursion this would be the one to do. The scenery was, as you saw, jaw-droppingly gorgeous, all the way in and out. We got onto the smaller boat from the cruise ship but were taken to the dock to finish our day at that port before returning to the ship (HAL)

We did this excursion on our first Alaskan cruise and now going on our 4th. We thought the excursion was well worth doing at least once and while there a huge piece of the glacier ice broke off the sound was like a bomb going off amazing and spectacular

I'm glad you took this excursion! We'll be in Alaska next month for our anniversary and this excursion was just out of our reach money and time wise (the one our ship offers is 6hrs long and joins the ship in Juneau after). I don't feel any FOMO now thanks to this video and will be saving up for it for the next time we're in Alaska ☺

Secondly. Good eye on your brother to see the bald eagle on the floating ice. Such a magnificent bird. 🦅🦅

Perfect timing! I am so glad you went on that excursion. I have been debating a similar one for the Alaska cruise I will be on at the end of August. Mine is at Hubbard Glacier and is quite a bit more expensive than yours was. I've done a couple searches to look for videos from anybody that's done the excursion, and there's not a lot out there. Thank you so much for doing this excursion and posting your video of it and your recommendation. Now if the website for my cruise line would stop screwing up, I'd go ahead and book it. It keeps giving me an error message when I try to do anything.

I'd definitely take that excursion Tony. STORY TIME, I've been to Alaska twice on a cruise. The first time the captain did something they would never do anymore. He used the side thrusters of the ship to pivot back and forth to create a wake which started to break huge pieces of ice off of the glaciers. It was pretty spectacular. Nowadays with everyone having cameras and ships not being allowed that close it would never happen. It was a pretty awesome experience. Glad you guys made it Tony
