Wow Andrew, thank you so much for posting this. Nic Jones is one of my all time heroes. He was the first guest I saw in a folk club back in 1970 and I saw him many times over the intervening years up to his accident. He was very encouraging to me as a fledging floor singer and guitarist at the time. This is a great recording given its age and you have done all Nic Jones fans a real service here. The Morris tunes and Paddy and The Whale are new additions to the recorded media as far as I am aware. This is a gem!
This is such an important contribution to the body of material on Nic. So wonderful for those of us not able to see Nic live before the accident. Thanks so much for making available!
Thanks - my tapes of that period lay largely ignored for so many years, "lockdown" brought the change. Thanks to Nic and Julia for agreed the upload. I have just enjoyed your "Seven Yellow Gypsies" video with Nic & Joe. Look forward to listening to the other material in your collection a.s.a.p. "Day Comes Soon" has just reminded me to look out my Paul Metsers recordings... who knows what's next.
@@andrewwatson3267 I'll certainly try and will let you know when I do - although it's only 2 or 3 songs. He suggested I sit on the floor next to him so his feet on the wooden floor provided some great percussion! This was 1971 and my first experience of a folk club. I was taken there by my then guitar teacher Dave Stewart who loved Nic Jones and himself began his musical life in folk clubs.
What a gem of a recording of the wonderful Nic Jones. One of my very favourite artists touring the folk clubs of the 1970s. He was a magic live performer, recounting mostly traditional stories in song with his fine vocal delivery and dynamic guitar accompaniment. Just Brilliant!
Nic Jones! Wow, such a beautiful singer, fantastic guitarist and an amazing arranger of folk songs. Not only that but he bought syncopation and counter-melody to folk. Who knew, eh? This recording is truly a rare gem and so lovingly presented here. Thank you a thousand times over, Andrew, for this upload. Subscribed and liked. PS - my avatar is Nic as a child.
Thanks for seeking this out. Good to know the support is there. Many thanks to those whose camera work provided (via Google) the graphics needed to accompany a full set video upload.

Nic Jones is a true melodic troubadour .. come down to us from the past. For me, as a Latin man, it is a real revealing discovery !. He definitely deserved more luck in Life. Many thanks for posting, He is truly an ace in the folk song genre !!
