Hey Don! I am a new viewer and now new subscriber. I want to say thank you for your honesty and bringing individuals from bootcamps to talk about their experience and how honest they are is a plus. I enjoy your videos and I hope you continue putting out great content for me and future developers because sometimes some videos may be one sided and I can say that to me your videos are cut and dry. Good or bad you give your opinion and I appreciate it. I haven't started Nucamp but I choose Nucamp over several other bootcamps because of its affordability as well as the camp they have which is the Backend, SQL, Devops, and Python. Like you stated you just have to find what works best for you and just go from there. Once again thanks man for the videos. Keep it up!
I'm currently enrolled in a full-time remote immersive bootcamp. I can say that the experience has been good for me. I can see people who are obviously zoning out / not paying attention. It definitely depends on the type of person you are. I appreciate not having to commute to a classroom when I have no current income, which would only further impact me financially. I had self studied previously, but never felt like I was going anywhere as I think I need structure and an interactive learning experience; which you really aren't getting when doing a udemy course. I absolutely agree that bootcamps need to have larger barriers to entry as even with the 6+ months of self studying I have; the program is still challenging and intense. I couldn't imagine coming into this without any experience.
@@monkeyycoollay32 I did a few udemy courses including the Angela Yu full stack web dev course she has. It helped a lot, I'd recommend some sort of full stack course before diving into a bootcamp. I ended up getting a job the day before I graduated and the knowledge I had already earned helped a lot.
I’ve finally decided to make the transition. I feel like I’m at a point where I want to quit my full time job to pursue this career, but I also feel like I currently have a stable job so I should do the part-time route. Is anybody in the same boat as me??
My cousin is applying to hack reactor and it seems they added more testing. From what she told me she needed to do a test prior to signing up for the real entry test.
Hello!! I'm from Nepal and I want to join an online bootcamp for course classes and job placement. Is there any way to join from Nepal? If yes, then please help me with the proper guidelines. Thank you!
Im enrolled as n a part time immersive bootcamo at GA. I already have a lucrative career I can keep doing until I get a job as a developer so I’m not rushing after graduation. I’ll keep learning and applying to jobs until I do.
Anyone look into Bethel Tech? Considering their programs, would love to hear more reviews. everyone I've talked to who is currently a student or alumni, has recommended it highly. great network and continued access to their programs once you finish a bootcamp
Hey so i'm currently thinking about doing a bootcamp through Virginia Tech Powered by FullStack. Would you not recommend this since you said the quality of bootcamps through university go down?
@@DonTheDeveloper yes ,I can help by give ideas about youtube video, I have few topics ,first you make it ,I think it would be very helpful for people outside of usa ......

@@paparaZziii Thanks for the reply! If you were to redo the whole process would you choose general assembly again?
This was great, thanks! The paralysis by analysis is real.
Btw, your videos are saving my life!!! Thank you Don!!
Thank you I am in process to choose which boot camp I can join
Do you recommend focusing on one track (backend or front end) or do you recommend full stack?
It depends on your goals. Feel free to bring it up in Friday's live Q&A. We can dive a bit deeper into this, then.

Yes, same boat! what did you end up doing? I'm a full time tech recruiter considering a full stack development bootcamp or data science bootcamp.

That's smart. It sounds like you minimized the financial pressure to transition quickly.
