Like so many hopeful tv comedies of the early aughts, cbs pulled the plug way too soon on this promising show. Bateman appears to be channeling Matthew Perry of “friends” playing a gay -er version of “chandler”. The cast was well picked, and the dialogue is first rate. Alec Mappa is always a riot in any role he has ever played.
The actor whom plays the brother is Michael Deluise He is the son of late comic actor Dom Deluise. Michael Deluise also has an actor brother named David Deluise, son of Dom Deluise. David played the father on the kids' show The Wizards of Waverly Place. Michael Deluise might have been on the sci fi TV show Seaquest.
WOW - it's actually funny! like, laugh out loud funny. Maybe didn't last because it's derivative (notice the "Seinfeld" intro/segue music and its 2001 pilot coming 3 years after that of Will and Grace's?). Or, perhaps America could only handle one "gay show" at a time in the early aughts. LOL
If this show wasn't cancelled it would have been one of the most iconic sitcoms of all time. I genuinely haven't laughed out loud this much in years.

I was 12 years old when I bought Kiss Me Guido on VHS back in 1997. I wish this show would have had the same impact on ratings.
