Fun fact about Van Pelts choice of guns in Jumanji: both his lever action rifle & the "rifle" he got at the gun store are actually shotguns mocked up to look like rifles. If I'm not mistake, the former is a Winchester Lever Action, either a 1887 or 1901, and the latter is the USAS.

This is completely false. The AA12 prototype has been around for some time before the USAS12 blueprint which is based on that of AA12, came around. The AA12 by all means exist before the USAS12 became a thing.
AA 12 prototypes were made in 1972, the ones you see in media started being made in 2005. Usas 12 started production around 1989 two years earlier the pancor jackhammer was patented but never mass produced.
If you haven't yet, check out STALKER Anomaly. It's in there and it's an awesome gun imo. If you do end up playing the game, find the mercs and work with them. Eventually, they'll sell it to you.
Daewoo usas 12 12 gauge automatic shotgun uses buckshot rounds or basically armored piercing slug rounds which the casings are colored in Black just to let you know this shotgun is known to be one thing and one thing only to destroy everything that gets in its way I know so protecting your ass from getting shot it can give you a lot of suppressing power and the bad guys running fear when they see you firing this damn gun
So many cool and futuristic guns in Stargate.. USAS12, SPAS 12, Striker-12, P90, and customized K3 LMGs (Korean M249). I've never seen the film but knowing about it's cult following I might give it a watch and see if I spot any other cool stuff.
I now have to wonder if after the first time if the SGC just kept an extra stash of shotguns in the Armoury just in case they had to deal with Replicators.
It’s not powerful, it doesn’t even have a Magnum chamber, all modern shotguns are chambered for Magnum, they banned it because it looks scary, and politicians don’t like scary design.

I didn't know they used real life kinetic weapons in Stargate. Of course, I never watched it but I figured since it's a sci-fi show they'd use energy weapons.
They use both. They use handheld and staff energy weapons from the goaould but also shotguns,mp5 , p90s and many m16/m4 variants plus m9 pistols. Sg-1 is essentially an airforce team. Sg1 usually hasd mp5 and p90s. Other sg teams like the marine one used mainky m16.

Why it shoots like 9mm bullets at insane fire rate with almost endless stream of fire when it's an autoshotgun capable to hold only up to 10 in it's mag, 20 if it's the biggest cylinder drum mag you can find?
This Automatic Shotgun is in the Goldeneye remake of 2010/11 for Nintendo Will& PS3/Xbox 360 it looks way better on 360 i recommend using it in semi automatic only at mid range of course but full auto is ok for clos range shots!
The background music playing in the gun store is the Mexican National Anthem... 🤔 maybe it's a cheeky nod, for anyone who catches that, that the owners are gun runners on the side which would explain how they are so eager to sell weapons for the right price.

Usas-12, Spas-12, Striker-12 and AA-12 are the quintessential hollywood shotguns

I think it's one of the coolest shotguns. It was really fun to use in a video game far cry 2 as well.
South African design I believe. Tends to get over shadowed by the AA-12 but it's a nice shotgun regardless.

Two movies that made me want a 4-bore elephant rifle as a kid:

Always liked that weapon. Very few seem to shoulder it though. It seems the space force seems to shoot from the hip.

Battlefield series made it famous, specifically Battlefield 3 which it has 12g frags. People called it an OP (Overpowered) shotgun.
