We recommend that you change the environment to test it. If the same happens in multiple environments, you can send it back for testing.

Selfie mode with the phone i would imagine like you say Albert ,you didn't look too far away when it froze which is somewhat poor.

How to enable the landscape mode? Is it Dji Fly app?
You need the latest firmware on the Neo and the latest DJI Fly app. If you have older software, it won't show up or work.
