I have enjoyed your videos so much and even though I am an avid cruiser I learned something from you every time I watch you! Leaving on the icon on 2 November and I always overpack always so this is good stuff! Thank you for all of your effort to make our vacations more pleasurable🎉
Even if you don't wear glasses, bring a glasses repair kit! My sunglasses lost a screw somewhere, and I did not have a repair kit. I'm just glad it was my sunglasses and not my kids' eyeglasses. Anyway, I ended up spending $60 on a pair of sunglasses that would probably have been $20 or less on land, and I don't even like them that much. If you don't do this, bring spare sunglasses (or eyeglasses)!
Glad you mentioned a travel umbrella. Instead of a regular travel umbrella I purchased a travel sun umbrella for my Caribbean cruises. This way I am covered rain or shine. Using the sun umbrella makes it cooler on a hot day and I am not adding to my sun exposure.
I'm getting all of my things ready and this video was good timing. I'll definitely be bringing an outfit for the first evening in my embarkation carry on. I didn't think of that and it's smart.
nothing wrong with being an over-packer, as long as you have the room. You get alot in that carryon bag! I don’t want to be stuck saying I wish I had something I that I left at home.
It is a lovely bag! But omg. almost 300 dollars? I liked all the ones from Amazon that you recommended, I think I have all of them! You recommend the best stuff. But this one, yikes!
A pen! And a Sharpie. Always have a tiny sewing kit and safety pins; small bit of packing tape in carry on. I love your cruise organizer paperwork. Using right now for next cruise in July. Keeps all those payments and reservations recorded this far ahead.
I’ve had the Bento bag since V2. It’s the best “personal bag” to put over my rollaboard carry-on. It’s top notch and worth every penny. Yea it’s an investment but it STANDS UP and DELIVERS
I am 77 and holding a carry on is not for me for any amount of time! How about a rolling backpack? My husband has one for computer stuff on short cruises.
We are flying to Dublin, then flying to Liverpool, then the train to London for a cruise. With the train to Southampton. The flight from Dublin to Liverpool has a weight restriction of only 20kg. The struggle not to overpack is real especially since this cruise I’ll need warmer weather clothing for Norway and Iceland. I’m thinking this “personal” bag will useful for heavier items to meet the weight requirements. Also taking the train, I’ll need to be able to travel effectively.
We are going on a 12 night cruise in December to the southern caribbean. I have only ever packed for week long trips. I am struggling with over-packing. What is your advise for longer cruises? Loved this video! Thanks!
Sounds great! I have a video for packing for a longer cruise (we also did 12 nights last November) that might be helpful. My advice is pack for a week & rewear some, & plan to do a bit of laundry either on your own or many cruise lines have laundry special you can take advantage of
I bring a small jewelry case, but I never bring my good jewelry. I have fakes for my wedding ring, a right hand ring, silver and gold earrings and necklaces (all fake), inexpensive pearls and CZ earrings.
Packing is so stressful for me. For longer cruises 🚢I pack two large suitcases. If you’re going to become a frequent cruiser, I would recommend buying curling & flat irons, and outlet boxes in a Third World country. The ones with the two long prongs are $10.00 -the outlet is in front of your outer cabin mirror. 😊 Pardon my grammar.
What I learned was to look at what I didn't use on a trip. Next trip, a lot of makeup stayed home and I kept a smaller kit. Please please don't put your refillable water bottle up over the water dispenser nozzle, that's not sanitary for the rest of us.
@LifeWellCruised small steps my friend you're doing great and really helped us with our last cruise mom loves your videos too and she could t belive how much I knew before we left about what to pack and how to look up things on board

Water enhancer in a few flavors. Crystal lite powder or the other liquid. Sealed.

I’m going on my 3rd cruise in two years next month so I’ve really paid attention to what I didn’t use and it’s staying home…
It’s so helpful to take inventory & make adjustments
Gracias, por tus consejos, siempre me das alguna idea nueva. Eres muy amable!! 😊😊
I found Febreeze fabric to go, and love it, especially for cruises that allow smoking in the casino. It is the same size as the Downey release.
That is a great tip for the casino, thanks for sharing!

Carabiner hooks are great to clip items onto a bag. Cheap packs at Walmart.

I used only the Bento bag for a 3 day 2 night conference plus my purse and carried my suit coat.
I can see why! It’s the most efficient bag I’ve ever used
This is a great video!! Thank you!!
@@sylviamcneil7721 so glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching 😊
My carry-on bag includes "overflow" items that don't fit in my over-packed suitcase.
Nothing wrong with that! I usually bring a luggage carry on bag (Frank & I share) & a weekender style for laptop ect
I go on my lst cruise ever soon. Thank you so much for all that valuable information . 🇬🇧🎉
Glad it was helpful! Very exciting! What cruise line or ship are you going on?
Question… do you put your magnets in checked luggage or carry-on, & do they set off an alarm???
Either is fine - you’re allowed on both flights & cruises 🚢
Thank you, Ilana!

Do laundry 1/2 way through, only packing for 6 days. No one will notice if you rewear stuff. Doing that for my BTB Caribbean cruise(s) next month.
Are we allowed to bring hair clippers on a Royal Caribbean cruise?
Did you mention hats; I always pack at least two baseball caps, but some need the Tilly type of hats.
I didn’t, but that’s a good one!! Thanks for mentioning
