Hello I have an akg p120 mic when I connect it to my solo it isn't taking my vocal recordings though I followed the information given can you please help me get done with it thank you !
Once recorded, you can export your sounds from Ableton Live as wav, aiff, flac and mp3. You can apply processing of your choice to your recordings using Ableton Live, or any other audio editor/workstation. Specifically what do you mean by noise reduction? Are you finding that you are capturing a lot of unwanted background sound in your recordings?
Thanks buddy. But i have a question, my mic is very low when im recording. I don't understand why is like this, plus it seems like i have done everything you said on the video any tips please?
Afraid I don't fully understand your question. Specifically, what are you hoping to connect to the 1/4" input? These are mono inputs that are designed to receive instrument/line-level signals only.

That's certainly possible. My Scarlett flashes green when I use the microphone, the driver and device has been set in the Appleton settings, but it doesn't register any input through the microphone. How do I get along from here? :(
That indicates that Scarlet is successfully receiving the signal from your microphone at a good level and is sending it into your computer. You just need to route this signal into an audio track in any DAW or audio app on your computer to receive this signal. If you're using Ableton Live Lite, you can do that by ensuring the Scarlett is selected as the audio device within the Ableton Live preferences and then selecting the input that your microphone is connected to from the 'Audio From' section of any audio track, as explained in this video. Is it possible to record voice and instrument with backing track? The same question asked in another way: Is it possible to play backing track into monitor or must take 4i4 and use one of the line inputs (on the back side) to get this aim?
The easiest way to do this would be to load your backing track into a stereo audio track in Ableton, then using Ableton to direct monitor your voice and instrument.
Thank You for quick reply! But how to monitor backing track through Scarlett? Is it possible? This way need two sets of monitors: one (earphones) plug to the Scarlett card and another set plug to otput on computer inside audiocard (or from motherboard). Two different earphones cannot put on the head together. Isn't it? And a problem at the same time: there is a latency between Scarlett card output and computer audiocard output (it doesn't matter, using Ableton, Reaper or another DAW). As read from Scarlett description, only pllugged instruments to be monitored, but not the sound from computer.
Update: I have got Focustie Scarlett 4i4 audiocard. Thank you, yes, this is normal way to send backing track from DAW. The main principle is that Scarlett audiocard has own mixer! User monitors the audiocard mixer output. So, all inputs of the audiocard, including signal from DAW, are mix together at the same time. The latency from Scarlett audiocard to DAW is another issue. Moreover, in Scarlett 4i4 it is possible to send several backing tracks simultaniosly come through 4 different channels from 4 different software. These are programm channels, phisically it is only one USB cable. For instance, user could mix soud from browser coming to channels 1-2, sound from DAW to channel 3 and sound from AIMP player coming on channel 4. Of course, there is some latency on the route from software (DAW, software player, browser etc.) to audiocard, but it doesn't influence. However, there could be some latency difference between these 4 channels if sound data coming from different soft sources.
I dont know why but the audio i hear when my output is the scarlett is weird, i use a song soni can follow the track but the vocals doesnt sound neither the bass, and i dont know if this is normal

BTW: I got a Scarlett 2i2.
Thanks!!
You will likely have to set this inside of the DAW you're using. Check the I/O settings inside the DAW and make sure the track with the backing track is set to output to the Scarlett. If you need further help feel free to reach out at bit.ly/FocusriteSupport.
@@FocusriteHelp forgot to mention I'm learning on how to use Abbleton Live Lite.. I've already set up the Scarlett as a IO device.. But not sure how to send an specific track to my headset
I can hear the metronome when playing back how do I prevent that from happening? :(
The metronome can be switched on and off using the option at the top-left within Ableton Live (the 2 circles icon) -

asio doesnt pop up for me as an option.. why is that? i only get mme/directx as a driver option.
Hi you may not have the driver installed. You'll be able to find it here: focusrite.com/downloads
@@FocusriteHelp didn't realize I had to download drivers!!! Now it makes sense!!! Lol thanks for the reply.
What does clocking arm do
It's not entirely clear what you're asking. We're happy to help answer specific questions at bit.ly/FocusriteSupport or via social DMs.
@@FocusriteHelp oh it was just a part in the video where you disable arm. I was wondering what it does. Then I seen in the session view that it arms more than one recording channel.
Can I use the Scarlett focusrite for a livestreaming?
Yes, absolutely. You can find instructions on how to achieve that, here - support.focusrite.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360014078280-How-to-live-stream-and-video-call-with-your-Focusrite-interface

I am using guitar and vocals and only let me record one at time. When I click record on vocal, guitar doesn't record and vice versa. Any advice?
Hi there, do you have each track set to a different input? I.e. if you're recording vocals on track 1, your input should be your vocal mic input, and if guitar is on track 2, the line input would be your input (or another mic, if you were mic'ing the guitar). It also depends on your setup. If this is confusing or you need more help, please reach out via social DMs or at bit.ly/FocusriteSupport.
@@FocusriteHelp Yes, both are set to different inputs. Vocal Mic is 1 and inst guitar 2
Is it possible to record three or more instruments separately on the 2i2?
No, you need three inputs to record three instruments separately. We'd recommend checking out the Scarlett 4i4!
Is the Focusrite Control used with the 2i2 3rd gen?
Yes. Here's an article with more info: bit.ly/3CJadXO

How do I make ONE recorded Barr'e into FOUR Barr'es ?
If I understand you correctly, you should find that you can simply copy the existing clip of audio to extend it from 1 bar to 4 bars in length. The 'Arrangement View' video provided here covers how to edit recorded audio within Ableton Live to achieve this - www.ableton.com/en/live/learn-live/

In Reaper I can have reverb in my cans while recording, without recording the reverb. That's what I came here looking for, cos I can't see how to do that in Ableton..

in which video did you show how to set it into instrument mode? what do you mean by setting what(?) into instrument mode???? ahh
You gotta press the button that says Inst on your audio interface
It does no work... :(

My voice is recorded only one side not stereo. Why?
Have you tried recording into a mono track? The inputs on all of our audio interfaces are mono, as are the signals from microphones. Recording a mono signal into a stereo track can have the effect of placing the signal on one side in some programs. Recording into a mono track should fix that -

The 'Tab' key on your QWERTY keyboard can be used to toggle between Session and Arrangement View in Ableton Live.
