Hi Doc, the only virus that scared me to death was about 10 years ago. My wife contracted a virus that attacked her heart, I thought I was going to lose her. Now I'm getting worried about this one. I worry that she or I might contract it, we're both about the same age.She works in an orthodontics office and comes in contact with a lot of kids. She and her boss should be poster childs for proper sanitizing of everything in that office and exam room!! I don't recall ever being this nervous about a virus. I'm not sure how well we would weather being infected with it. The definition of healthy and being over 65 seems cloudy to me. Is the media is having a field day with this at the public's emotional expense, or do I have a lot more to worry about. We live in Westchester County, they brought in the National Guard to the city of New Rochelle, not far from us. We are still going to work and going about our business but I have been even more careful about germs! Their saying the disease is dormant for up to 12 days? I'm worried about this little vacation we have planned. Sorry, I didn't mean to write a novel! Thanks for reading.
Jim The Mechanic Honestly, i can empathize, being in the medical community where we not only deal with the mouth (like dentistry) but every orifice! I wish i had answers for you. When are you traveling? And where to? I think the next few weeks should provide us with more information as to how this virus is behaving in the U.S.
