By far the worst news here is the fact that they will be reusing any footage from the old shoot. We've seen how a lack of cohesiveness can destroy a show, multiple times over. Falcon and the Winter Soldier is the first one I thought of
Yeah, great example! I get it would take longer for the show to come out and it'd be more expensive, but I'd rather they just completely restart instead of restarting and salavaging what they had before and hope they mesh well enough. But, we'll see!
@@Machuw Well they dumped 4 or 5 episodes out of the 9 the former creatives had filmed so that leaves about 3 to 4 episodes in which none of the returning cast appears which is what has fanned the rumors mill among nonfan hater trolls that they are killing off all the returning cast which I doubt. But still thus is essentially a stitch job to try to salvage what was heading to be another catastrophic failure and destroyed IP had it ironically not being for the strikes last year.
Honestly, I like who they brought back to reshoot Daredevil Born Again, but if they were smart, they'd just chuck the old footage, and make the show how the old show writers would shoot it, with a little nore creative freedom so what we get still has the heart of the old Daredevil, but does something unique but still good, so it isnt a copy of what has already been told. Thats what I would do. Also I would bring back these characters for longer than 3 episodes, but I heard a rumor that the first 3 episodes are pre-blip and so maybe we get some time in the Blip to explain the time gap, and then they return post-blip. That might be why they are reusing old footage, but even then I'd just chuck that and reshoot some stuff to make it more coherent
Yeah, I agree! I wish that they would just completely get rid of it all, but I get they want to save money and all. Hopefully they find a way to make it work tho! And I'd definitely be curious about a pre blip Era in Daredevil, but we'll see what happens!
@@Machuw I don’t have any issues with it. I think it’s a blueprint of storytelling that’s relatively unexplored and could help diversify media. But as for the MCU doing it for every entry. What I’d like is for them to diversify their stuff more, internally. The problem with the Disney plus shows is really the falling apart at the end problem. Loki (haven’t watched S2) is the only one that ends strongly. As for why this is an issue. I have the sense that what happens is they basically go, you creative people can work on the 1st and 3rd act. We’ll hire other people for the ending. And a lot of spectacle is required. Because take like Black Widow and Shang Chi. Both street level movies and went super cgi at the end. I think the filmmakers must work what they have around what the studio is up to. And maybe there’s a combination of reasons.
@@MachuwSeason 3 also ending on a more optimistic note so being less grimy would be a natural progression of the story. Like Harry Potter, but in reverse.
The reshoots that have came out make me very happy. I'm so happy to see bullseye back "hello Karen" 😢😢
Me too! Haha I'm looking forward to hearing Bullseye saying that Karen again 😂
@@Machuw He did in the leaks Set footage you can hear him say it

Thanks for the video

In regards to remaking TV: a big complaint of the MCU is they aren’t narratively innovative. So there doing that.
Well, yeah I guess they are trying to be innovative, but it doesn't always work unfortunately

I love Netflix Daredevil, but I would like it to feel distinct from the original show.
Understandable! I think I'd like a nice mix of new creativity but also it being canon and having a similar tone to the Netflix one.
