In the past he has done it like that, but he was testing out his new sprayer. The positives with the sprayer was that it was much faster and he felt he was able to get into the cavities even better with the sprayer vs. rolling.
@@creamandhoneyliving I thought that while priming just letting it run wide open like that with nothing in the pump, I assumed it could burn it out? Idk
The customer had the stain already and just wanted to use it all. Plus the weather here is harsh in summer and winter too, so it needed to really soak into all the cracks. Seems a lot, but the wood was old and thirsty and it took that much.
@@creamandhoneyliving OK, I was going off doing an interior ceiling (500sqft) and I used almost 2 gallons of stain. But that was new material. And 2 gallons of sealer followed by 2 more of a gloss finish
looks very nice good job.
Back rolling is recommended when applying this way. It’s going to increase durability and penetrate the pores and cracks better.

The tip for thin stains is 513
209 would have been the choice tip size
Thanks for the suggestion
Wow. It’s obvious he has never used an airless sprayer nor is using it properly but he got the job done
Curious, what would you have done differently?
